Valerie Ford died peacefully at home today at 9:55 a.m., surrounded by her loving family. I will write a full obituary and post it tomorrow, as well as share more reflections on our final days together, death, and moving forward. All of our children are home to mourn together, as well as celebrate that Val is no longer suffering, and that she is in the presence of Jesus.
A Biology teacher even in death, Val donated her body to science and will eventually be cremated. We will have a Memorial Service, likely in November 2023, and will put details on this site.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, if you want to honor Val's memory, she requested that contributions be made to the Coalition for Christian Outreach (the CCO), a college ministry that helped shape her faith during her undergraduate years. Use this link to make a donation in memory of Val.
