Taking it day by day
Today was a a good boring day. The doctors want me to have boring days with really nothing going on. I was able to leave my room today and walk down to the cafeteria to have lunch. Not only was it nice to get out of our room but we were right across the street from Kinnick Stadium! I have had many fun Saturdays there in college and it brought many happy memories. Too bad it isn't football season because we can see the scoreboard from our room! Nick's Mom came up today and Nick was able to run to Target. Little Joys. He did a good job picking me out some comfy clothes and some other little things before my Parents bring down a large haul of our stuff this coming weekend.
Baby Kelch is still doing good. We get her heart rate tested everyday and she likes to hide from the nurses and move around a lot. It basically sounds like a thunderstorm in my stomach when they are trying to get the monitors on her. She has strong heartbeat of 150+ which is really good! I get checked several times a day and meet with my doctors and nurses. Everyone has been so fantastic and we have met some incredible people that work here. It has made the start of this journey a lot easier. At this point we don't think that I will be transferring to a hospital in MN and that it will be best to keep me put. If anything changes we will make that call later.
We have been so blessed and overwhelmed with all the love, support and messages we have received. You never know how many people care about you until you go through a difficult time. Nick and I read every message that comes across and they have been so meaningful and helped us get through each day more then you will know. We are also so amazed how many people we know who have also gone through a similar journey and hearing their stories gives us so much hope.
We thank God every single day that I do not go into labor and all the prayers that he has answered. He has a plan for us and we know that we are in his hands.
We want to thank all of you for reaching out and keeping us in your prayers. We will keep you posted with updates as we get them.
Love,
Katy, Nick and Baby Kelch
