Hi! My sister Leanne Scott is a freshman at Texas A&M. She relapsed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia on March 7, 2007. She will be undergoing chemotheraphy for the next few months, and this summer she will be needing a bone marrow transplant. Thanks for visiting her site!

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for checking in. I wanted to share my heart with you. I have continued to have the headaches. It has been tough these past few weeks getting through school with them, but God has NOT left my side. I started on some new medication which seemed to help after a few weeks, but then recently I have started to have my headaches daily and just as bad as before. We decided to increase the medication just last week before we moved on to something else... got to give it a good try before we move on and I'm not experiencing too many side effects, it makes me tired and have a dry mouth but those are common. So, hopefully we will find some answers soon. The headaches are debilitating at times and at times is hard to keep going.

This week is finals week and my last final is on Thursday. I go to see my neurologist right after my final to follow up with the increased dose. I am praying that God would show us the answers and I can finally be free of the headaches. I can't help but to think of all those who are suffering more than I am, and I have to thank God for healing me of my cancer and trust that He will (hopefully soon) heal me of my headaches. I have been getting frustrated because of the unfortunate timing, but I have also seen how God has come through for moments of relief. I have to trust Him that this is His perfect plan and that He will teach me, show me, use me, and mold me to be who He designed me to be.

I cannot end without asking you to pray for my friend Lindsey. She had the first ever bone marrow transplant at Texas Children's many years ago and is also now suffering from headaches as well. She is also fighting side effects from the transplant still these many years later. My heart breaks for her as she is not able to continue school currently and is still fighting the effects of the chemo and radiation. She recently had surgery for her headaches and is suffering some complications from it. Please pray that the doctors would have the wisdom to know what to do and that she will continue to fight and to feel God's comfort and love.

Thank you so much for your continued support throughout all these years. I cannot believe I am almost done with a full year of nursing school! God is so good!

Love,
Leanne
