Dear Roy and Donna,

I am certainly sorry to hear that Cheyenne's beloved Blackjack has died. I have always loved the picture of Cheyenne with her horse. You certainly chose the best possible place to bury him. May the spot become a real place of comfort for you both.

I am glad you could transfer your home movies to DVD. I can image the pleasure your both had in reviewing several of the movies. Yes, Cheyenne was an absolute character, and we all miss her!

I am sorry that I have not visited this website often of late. November and December have been busy times, and we are trying to right ourselves after a big ice storm on Thursday night. Our power and our phone were out for three days. It seems good to have all services restored and no serious damage to the house or the property.

God bless you always.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Happy Thanksgiving, To All!

Dear Roy and Donna,

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Now thank we all our God,
with heart and hands and voices,
who wondrous things hath done,
in whom his world rejoices;
who from our mother's arms
hath blessed us on our way
with countless gifts of love,
and still is ours today.

O may this bounteous God
through all our life be near us,
with ever-joyful hearts
and blessèd peace to cheer us;
and keep us in his grace,
and guide us when perplexed,
and free us from all ills
in this world and the next.

All praise and thanks to God
the Father now be given,
the Son, and Holy Ghost,
supreme in highest heaven,
the one eternal God,
whom earth and heaven adore;
for thus it was, is now,
and shall be evermore.

Words: Martin Rinkart (1586-1649), 1636
trans. Catherine Winkworth (1827-1878), 1858

Music: Nun danket alle Gott (later form of melody by Johann Crüger, 1598-1662)

Today I am remembering Cheyenne and several children that I learned about through Chey's website. I am also praying for you and for all who are in any form of bereavement.

God bless you always, and of course, God bless Cheyenne.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

O God of wonder and mystery, you gave us Jesus to go before us and to show us a way to new life through our dying: As the season of autumn reminds us that all living things must die, so must our faith in the life Jesus promised encourage us to embrace life's potential, rather than being saddened by life's endings, may we find, in the wisdom of your creation, the constantly renewing love that reassures us of your presence. With our eyes on the tree of life and its spectacular beauty, may we remain always in Jesus. Amen.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I was planning to be at the polls at this time, but instead, a minor household emergency has brought me and my plumber together, at this hour. (I will go over to vote later.) I hope you are well and having a good day.

God bless you both, God bless all of your family, and God bless America.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Someone sent me this prayer thought. I do not know the author's name.

Whether your political color is red or blue, I ask your prayers for justice and non-violence at the polls today. Give thanks that this election has drawn more Americans to participate than at any time in our history; please pray that everyone who wants to vote will be able to do so, and that those votes will be counted as they were cast. Pray that long lines may not lead to short tempers, that fairness will guide the process across our land, and that justice may roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I am thinking of you, and remembering Cheyenne, on this twin feast to All Saints Day. May you find peace and encouragement throughout the day.

Dear Roy and Donna,

Cheyenne was remembered in Holy Eucharist yesterday, on the Feast of All Saints, and today, on All Saints Sunday. The sun was streaming in through the Jesus and the Children stained glass on both days.

I have been praying for you, for the Hunley family, and for my friend, Jean, whose husband, Mike, died the same day as Cheyenne. Jean tells me that October 30 was so hard this year. I think the impact of Mike's anniversary four years later really shocked her. Do not be surprised if it hits you harder some years.

God bless you, and of course, God bless your sweet gal, Miss Cheyenne Marie Fiveash.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Today's Collect:

O Almighty God, who have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship, in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those indescribable joys which you have prepared for those who truly love you: through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, in glory everlasting.

One Of The Collects For All Saints Day:

Almighty and everlasting God, we give you most high praise and hearty thanks for the wonderful grace and virtue declared in all your saints, who have been the chosen vessels of your grace, and the lights of the world in their times: for Abraham, the father of believers, and Sarah his wife; for Moses the lawgiver, and Aaron the priest; for Miriam and Joshua, Deborah and Gideon, and Samuel with Hannah his mother, and for all the holy patriarchs; for Isaiah and all the prophets; for the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ our Lord and God; for Peter and Paul and all the apostles; for Mary and Martha, and Mary Magdalene; for Stephen, the first martyr, and for all the martyrs; and for all your other righteous servants, known to us and unknown; and we beseech you that, rejoicing in their fellowship, encouraged by their examples, and aided by their prayers, we also may run with steadfastness the race that is set before us, and finish our course in faith; and that at the day of the general resurrection, we, with all those who are of the mystical body of your Son, may be set on his right hand, and hear his most joyful voice: "Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." Grant this, O Father, for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, our only Mediator and Advocate. Amen.

Daily Prayer For Use By One In Bereavement:

I lift my heart and mind to you. The living God of never failing love. Give me strength for this day, to weep when I should weep, to accept the comfort that memories bring, to face decisions with courage, to meet people - those who love me, those who want to help me, those who want to comfort me but I don't know what to say. Thank you for them all. O God, help me so that having your peace, I may be able to comfort others.

Dear Roy and Donna,
sorry, I haven't visited for ages or sent you a note here, I moved house and didn't get back into the habit of spending time here. Strange that it was tonight, the eve of the anniversary of Cheyenne's death I happened to notice her name and opened the site and read again the wonderful stories of the miracles you saw with the mocking birds and Cheyenne's little cushion. It brought tears to my eyes reading that, it reinforces my own faith, these events are just too much to be coincidence as you know.
Tonight I pray for Cheyenne, and for you, her family too. May you have many more of these wonderful signs that your precious daughter is indeed with you and watching over you.

All my best wishes,
Angela

Dear Roy and Donna,

Those of us in the Capital District dodged a bullet on the snow amount last night, getting only a dusting to a couple of inches. We are having a cold, windy day here today. I hope you are enjoying better weather.

I am thinking today of Cheyenne, remembering many of the things Roy wrote about her, while she was here, on earth. She was certainly an active young woman, with a great sense of humor and genuine compassion for those around her. May she, and may you, always be blessed.

May God give you peace on the eve of Cheyenne's fourth anniversary. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Almighty God, we entrust Cheyenne and all who are dear to us to your never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come, knowing that you are doing for them better things than we can desire or pray for, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Roy and Donna,

We are having hard rain, here, in southern Saratoga County. As the temperatures drop tonight, we are expecting a nasty, heavy, wet snow. This is not good, as most of the trees around here still had almost full foliage last night, so with a heavy snow and lots of leaves, limbs, and even whole trees, could come down causing power outages. We are expecting 2-4 inches here, and that is enough to cause that type of occurrence, but areas in the Tug Hill and in the Adirondacks probably will get up to a foot.

It is a joy to read about the success of Cheyenne's Rally. Even with obstacles, raising $35,000 - $40,000 is impressive, and of course, in this way, a kind and generous young lady keeps on giving. May God bless Cheyenne, and may God also bless both of you.

You must be lonely, at least at times, with all of your children out of the immediate area, but you can be proud to have raised such wonderful human beings as Christopher, Michael, Diana, and Cheyenne.

I am thinking of Cheyenne, and of both of you, in a special way this week.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Collect For Today, The Feast Of St. Simon and St. Jude, Apostles:

O God, we thank you for the glorious company of the apostles, and especially on this day for Simon and Jude; and we pray that, as they were faithful and zealous in their mission, so we may with ardent devotion make known the love and mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Happy Columbus Day To All!

Dear Roy and Donna,

When my boys were little, I always planned an outdoor outing for the Columbus Day holiday. One year, we hiked the Saratoga Battlefield and ate a picnic lunch on the trail. Another year, we visited Stone Bridge and Caves, where we hiked the trail twice, visited the gift and gem shops, and ate a picnic lunch. Another trip was to Fort William Henry, and a fourth trip was to Fort Ticonderoga. As the guys got older, they had school sports commitments on Columbus Day, so the family outings stopped. Those outings are good things to remember, with fondness, as are your fall holiday memories of Cheyenne. May your memories bring you joy today and every day.

God bless you always, and of course, God bless your sweet gal, Cheyenne Marie Fiveash.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Dear Fiveash family,

I may not know you personally, but I came across your website through ICouldBeYourChild.org, and from reading your journal, I am struck by the grace and dignity that you've exhibited throughout your incredibly difficult experience. By choosing to have a more positive outlook through you tragic experience rather than allowing it to make you bitter or to kill your faith in God, you are an inspiration to us all and your beautiful heartfelt testimonies have allowed you to use this painful experience to help others in similar situations. May God comfort you as only He can as you continue to grieve your precious child. You are in my thoughts and prayers. In Him,

Fiveash family,
It has been a while since I have left a message here. To remind you of who I am, my name is Brittany Dahlen, one of Maddie's friends. About three years ago I started Monarch Cancer Volunteer Team. I am proud to say that I have passed the organization on to a senior at my high school. I have started a new chapter in my life without Maddie, college.
It is so exciting meeting new people, discovering new interests and facing new challenges. I often think of Maddie, how she would deal with a problem or how to have fun through all of my studying.
I remember how much she loved Chey and she always spoke of her very highly. I know they are in heaven dancing and singing away, having a blast that we will one day join in on.
For now, I am at St. Olaf in MN. I plan on studying nursing. I discovered my interest in healthcare through meeting families and children after Maddie was diagnosed.
I continue to pray for the caringbridge families I have met through Maddie and then also through my later work with Monarch.
I know God is watching over you. Cheyenne is present in your lives everyday just as Maddie is present in my life.
Much Love,

So, how did Collette know that Cheyenne's t-shirts were
red? I kept trying to find "T-shirts" on the Rally info, so
I could order one, but I couldn't find them.

Ike produce lots of flood here in St. Louis in the middle
of towns not near the rivers. creeks overflowed rapidly, and
streets and some homes were really flooded last Saturday night.
I was quite ignorant of the situation until I got to church, and
it was 1/2 filled. In this case, ignorance was bliss since by the time I knew
we had had so much rain, the waters were receding.

Looking forward to hearing about the results of the Rally, and also
if I can still order a t-shirt. Red is my new favorite color!!!

I am glad to hear that Cheyenne's rally went off without a hitch and that the day was beautiful (like Cheyenne is). We love the color red, so those red tee shirts must be awesome.

God bless you both, and of course, God bless your dear gal, Miss Cheyenne Marie Fiveash.

FANTASTIC!! AMAZING!! What more can be said? Bikes everywhere, families having fun, friends reconnecting, playing in the park, on the swings, on the jungle gym, in the grass, smiles, tears, hugs, and best of all memories of a most loved young woman!!
You all did it up right! Your little girl must be just beaming today! I've seen so many Cheyenne Rally shirts today around town. Everyone seems to know and most have already gone and had a great time.
Thank you for your friendship, for your caring, for your sharing, and for counting us among your friends.
Lake View won on the road for the first time in 3 years...

Dear Roy and Donna,

I hope you are safe from Ike and that the weather there has allowed Cheyenne's Rally to go forward. I was glad to read about the kids area, as Cheyenne loved younger children so much. I look forward to reading the event summary.

God bless you always, and of course, God bless Cheyenne.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.

Although you have had many special moments since Cheyenne got her wing, I know it has been tough. I just want to thank you for your words of encouragement, inspiration, and faith that have been helping me along the journey with MaKayla's Glioblastoma. It sure hasn't been easy,as you know. It seems as if the road just gets bumpier. But when I read your entries it lifts me up and just gives me a lil more faith and understanding. Thank you so much!! Tabitha

Dear Roy and Donna,

God's blessings to you as you are now on the countdown to Cheyenne's big fundraiser. I hope all of the last minute details go into place well, and that the event will be a huge financial and emotional success.

Last night, after church, we tried the advertised Louisiana Bananas Foster Pancakes, at IHOP. They were yummy, but as we ate, I thought of all of the times we ate in that location, when the building was a Denny's, and my boys were young. They were such good times, and I know you have your precious memories of going out for ice cream, shrimp, and Daddy and Daughter dances with Cheyenne. May those memories bring you comfort, strength, encouragement, and motivation today.

God bless you always.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Dear Roy and Donna,

My thoughts are with you on another Friday morning. May we all, "walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace," today and every day.

I am pausing, here, at my keyboard, to pray for Christopher's safety in Iraq. A member of our extended family was hurt over there, has recovered, and is back over there, so we understand your pride and your concern.

Since today is Mother Teresa's eleventh anniversary, I will leave her daily prayer below.

God bless you always.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Of this I am certain, that no one has ever died who was not destined to die some time. Now the end of life puts the longest life on a par with the shortest... And of what consequence is it what kind of death puts an end to life, since he who has died once is not forced to go through the same ordeal a second time? They, then, who are destined to die, need not be careful to inquire what death they are to die, but into what place death will usher them.

Today's Collect:

Lord God, the light of the minds that know you, the life of the souls that love you, and the strength of the hearts that serve you: Help us, following the example of your servant Augustine of Hippo, so to know you that we may truly love you, and so to love you that we may fully serve you, whom to serve is perfect freedom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Dear Roy and Donna,

Today's saint is Bartholomew. One of my connections with this name is that when they were young, my boys gave me a lovely, soft, white teddy bear that I named Thomas Bartholomew. We had such a good time with that bear! I am sure little stories like this one make you think of dozens of sweet things Cheyenne and her sibs did as little ones, and I hope those thoughts make your hearts smile.

God bless you always, and of course, God bless sweet Cheyenne.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Dear Donna and Roy,
Pray for you daily even though I don't write in the guestbook often.

Good luck to all your family members as they journey in different directions. All will be in my prayers

I know what you mean about funerals, we have had 6 since June and all one after another, I guess it is the age we are at. Of all of them I miss my Aunt Char so much. She was like a second mom to me. Super sweet lady! Her birthday is Sept. 5th and I know that will be a hard day for my Uncle and her family.

It has been a busy summer, I haven't been faithful in my Caringbridge guest book entries, but now that fall is near and winter will follow, I will be indoors more and hopefully I will keep in touch with my dear friends better.

Take gentle care,
love and hugs,

To J, Who Signed Cheyenne's Book Yesterday,

I have been signing Cheyenne's guest book for many months and other CaringBridge books, as well. I can assure you that God knows your pain, cares, and loves you very much. God the Father gave his own dear son, Jesus, that we would not escape pain, but that we will have eternal life. All he asks is that we believe in him and trust him, as well as we are able.

I am pausing here, at my keyboard to pray for you.

God bless you always.

Grace and peace,

Dear Cheyenne's Mommy and Daddy,
I have never met you or did not know your beautiful daughter. I stumbled upon your page tonight. I have to tell you that as I sit here stunned--and have chills all over me. I have to thank you for sharing your experiences with God showing you Cheyenne is here with the Mockingbirds. I lost my mother to cancer 8 years ago when I was 24 years old. Since then I have struggled with my faith in God. My mother suffered extreme pain through her illness and only those who have lost someone they love to cancer can understand this kind of pain. Thank you thank you for sharing this story. Somehow--some way I was led to your page tonight--not seeking these answers. I am crying tears of joy for your family that you see Cheyenne and know she is with you. Thank you for helping me tonight.

Dear Roy and Donna,

Over the past few days, three friends have died, and I have three friends battling breast cancer. Life is often uncertain, but all of these departed had faith, as did sweet Cheyenne, so our hearts, although hurting, are not like those without hope. We will see them again.

Today's saint is Helena, mother of Constantine, and finder of the True Cross. Several years ago, while in the Holy Land, I attended two worship services in the church she helped to build.

God bless you always, and of course, God bless your dear daughter, Cheyenne Marie Fiveash.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Today's Collect:

Almighty God, who called your servant Helena to an earthly throne so that she might advance your heavenly kingdom, and filled her with zeal for your Church and love for your people; Grant to us your people that we may be fruitful in good works, and steadfast in our faith in you, and finally by your mercy may attain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and ever. Amen.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I am quite busy and am not writing in guest books very much now, but I do think of you, and of your entire family, often. Sweet Cheyenne was remembered in Saturday afternoon Eucharist, at St. George's, on August 9, as she is whenever I am in the nave. I hope all is well with Cheyenne's grandparents. Perhaps you can include some information about them in your next update.

God bless you always.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Today's Collect:

O God, whose blessed Son became poor that we through his poverty might be rich: Deliver us from an inordinate love of this world, that we, inspired by the devotion of your servant Clare, may serve you with singleness of heart, and attain to the riches of the age to come; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Dear Roy and Donna,

I am sorry I have not signed Cheyenne's guest book often lately. She is always in my heart, but I am just not signing any of the books very much at this time.

I am pausing, here, at my keyboard, to pray for both of you and for all of your family. I hope Roy's mom and dad are having a good summer. Let us know, when you can.

God bless you always, and of course, God bless sweet Cheyenne.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Today's Collect:

O Lord our God, we thank you for instilling in the heart of your servant William Reed Huntington a fervent love for your Church and its mission in the world; and we pray that, with unflagging faith in your promises, we may make known to all peoples your blessed gift of eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

sewing jumpers for little girls in Nicaragua.
My minister is the chaplain for another church's

isn't that something?
finding Cheyenne's Father's Day card!!!

Some of my flowers/bushes are looking better
than ever with all the rain we've had. And, then
there is the 1/4 of the yard garden that is mostly
weeds and unwanted trees. I hadn't taken care
of it for two years. But, I found some teenagers
who are doing a terrific job of weeding. But,
they leave the pile of junk on the grass, and they
sorta create their own time schedule. But, I am
grateful to have it done. Bought a couple of
flats of impatiens, and some astilbie and hostas
yesterday...to at least make the edge of the
"naked mud" look like a garden again.

Dear Roy and Donna,

Today is the Feast of St. Alban, the first known martyr of Britain, and the person for whom nearby Albany, NY, was named. There is a St. Alban's window, in the Cathedral of All Saints, where my son, Andrew, was Confirmed.

Cheyenne and you are in my thoughts today, as always. God bless you both, and God bless all those close to you, and all of Chey's fans and supporters. She was remembered, in Holy Eucharist, this weekend.

Sorry it is so dry in Angleo. I am so homesick and that does not help! We keep looking on line at houses all the time but think if might be next year with Robert having to go to summer school all of July.

I know what you mean about being tested and as you know I do not have the faith you have. I see a few signs from Maxie but not as many as right after he passed. I think he is busy helping other children with cancer pass over. I am sure that was his job long before God lent him to me for a little while to heal my broken heart (about Stan). Oh did he know how hard I would fall in love with that kid!

Robert is growing so fast, but he needs to be around a man. Someone younger to take him fishing and stuff. His Mom has just given up and it is worse that watching Maixe die, because I know Robert will be alone with no one when we are gone!

Well now that I have cheered you up...lol. I want you to know I think about our babies all the time. I know they are together.. and because we have became good friends down here. They are both saying
"Be happy for us.. and live while you can for us", but oh it is so hard to do.

Hope to see you soon. I will pray for rain too.. if that is ok. Julie, Maxie's Grandma

Roy,

I don't think there was any "accident" in you finding the card from Cheyenne. I think that was another one of her signs that she's around and watching out for you. I hope you have a pleasant summer and that the weather eases up soon. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers.

Happy Flag Day, Fiveash Family!

Dear Roy and Donna,

I guess almost everyone loves a parade. One of the largest Flag Day Parades in our nation is held each June, in nearby Troy, NY, the home of Uncle Sam (Wilson). We have missed it this year, as it was held earlier in the week, but our thoughts are toward our country this morning.

Our thoughts are also toward your family. Cheyenne will be remembered in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, at St. George's.

God bless you always, and of course, God bless sweet Cheyenne.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I hope you are having a good week. I am sure Roy is busy with Cheyenne's garden. May it bloom with color and light in honor of your beautiful daughter!

I hope plans are coming well for the Cheyenne Fiveash Motor Cycle Rally. I am sure that day will honor Cheyenne and provide good community fun for many.

Today's saint is Gilbert Keith Chesterton. I have read him, at times, over the years, but still don't really know, or understand, him. I will leave the collect beneath my signature.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I am thinking of you both and of sweet Cheyenne today. It is a cooler day than yesterday, a perfect day to go to Friendly Ice Cream and maybe to play the claw machine. I know Cheyenne would have a cold treat and play a round or two, if she had such a day to enjoy. May God bless her sweet spirit.

God bless you always.

Today's Collect:

Grant, O God, that we may follow the example of your faithful Servant Barnabas, who, seeking not his own renown but the well-being of your Church, gave generously of his life and substance for the relief of the poor and the spread of the Gospel; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Belated Birthday Greetings To Roy!

Dear Roy and Donna,

I hope you are enjoying beautiful June weather. Have you had a chance to have a cone, at a roadside stand yet? That is always a part of summer weather, and I am sure that every cold treat eaten brings back many memories of sharing ice cream with sweet Cheyenne.

I read at Eucharist on Wednesday, and while there, in the beauty of holiness, I remembered Cheyenne.

God bless all of the Fiveash family.

Hope Donna is back home.

Sean Brame from PA was going to be
on the CMN telecast today, but I couldn't
find it listed in our newspaper. I would have liked to
have seen and heard him.

I wear Cheyenne's t-shirt every time I work in
the gardens...which have been daily for the
last couple of weeks. we have had RAIN and
more RAIN, so it sure makes weeding easy.
but, I didn't even do anything with the back garden
last year, so now about half of it is filled with trees
that are taller than I, and no way can I pull/dig them
up. I will try to find a reasonable lawn service, if there
is such a thing.

Blessings To All On Trinity Sunday!

Dear Roy and Donna,

I am thinking of sweet Cheyenne on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. It has rained some, but the sun is shining now, and the birds are singing. I have not heard a mockingbird, but just about every other kind we usually have, has made its presence known.

If I remember correctly, your church is Trinity Lutheran. God bless you pastor, elders, and people on your parish name day.

Today's Collect:

Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Greetings To All On The Feast Of Pentecost!

Dear Roy and Donna,

Cheyenne is in my thoughts today, as we celebrate the birthday of the church. It is not often that this great feast of the Holy Spirit also falls on Mother's Day. Here in the Capital District, of New York, is it also the Albany Tulip Fest, in honor of our Dutch heritage. What a busy day for folks involved in all!

The earth has been beautiful here for the last two weeks. I am sure Chey's garden is wonderful.

God bless you always, and of course, God bless sweet Cheyenne.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

The Collect:

O God, who on this day taught the hearts of your faithful people by sending to them the light of your Holy Spirit: Grant us by the same Spirit to have a right judgment in all things, and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Dear Family, I found your site by accident while looking for another site. But as a Christian, I don't believe many things are accidents! I lost a son when he was ten, not from cancer, but from an undetected coronary artery defect. He just collapsed in front of our house while running home for dinner with his brother (age 12) and several friends. I have not experienced anything as dramatic as your mockingbirds but I was blessed to read about your experiences. I definitely believe our children are still with us. My most blessed experience was on our Jeremy's 11th birthday. He had been gone 8 months and the pain was terrible. I was so angry! We had planned a heart fair in our yard with all his friends invited. We had games, prizes, popcorn, balloons, etc. and I was on my way to purchase some of the items. The kids were going to bring coins to give to the Heart Unit in the local hospital in memory of Jeremy. Like I said, I was going through the motions but I was just mad that Jer would not be there. As I was driving to the store, Jer spoke to me like he was sitting right next to me in the car. It was so real that I glanced over to the next seat expecting to see him. His words were, "Mom, in heaven, everyday is like your birthday!" I live in Southern Indiana and we have lots of mockingbirds in our neighborhood. Next time I see or hear one, I will send good thoughts and prayers your way. God bless you. Jane Smith

Dear Roy and Donna,

Cheyenne was remembered in Holy Eucharist this afternoon. A beautiful young boy was baptized. I have known Sean's dad and grandparents for a long time. It is always special to observe a baptism and to renew my own baptismal covenant during such a service. I wonder how many times that would be, if I could count them all.

When the Eucharist was over, I stayed in church, a while, as I almost always do, to pray for you, and also to pray for other parents, whose children are in heaven.

God bless you always.

I bought a couple of flats of flowers today,
but the nursery has signs saying it is

if the temperature seems like it will get too low.
Actually, I'm waiting for my friend who has offered

Dear Roy and Donna,

The sun is shining in Clifton Park today, and I am hoping you are having a good day, too. I am sure Cheyenne's garden is looking lovely.

I would like to ask you, and all of Chey's friends, to pray for Samuel, a ten and a half year old boy, from Clifton Park, who is a patient at Children's Hospital, in Philadelphia. Sam's grandmother, Gert, is a storyteller, a good friend of mine, and the founder of our faith based story circle. I have been praying for Samuel, since when he was in the womb, as testing revealed that he had half a heart. Sam, who had surgery on his heart, the day he was born, is in Philadelphia for testing and to have a pacemaker replaced. Thank you.

Today's saint is Catherine of Sienna, a reformer and spiritual teacher, who died on this date in 1380. Our Daughters of the King, at St. George's, is St. Catherine of Sienna Chapter, in her honor. I will leave the collect beneath my signature.

God bless you always, and of course, God bless your sweet gal, Cheyenne Marie Fiveash.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Colette

Everlasting God, who so kindled the flame of holy love in the Heart of blessed Catherine of Siena, as she meditated on the passion of your Son our Savior, that she devoted her life to the poor and the sick, and to the peace and unity of the Church: Grant that we also may share in the mystery of Christ's death, and rejoice in the revelation of His Glory, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Dear Roy and Donna,

Since I remember reading about Roy taking Cheyenne out for ice cream, I thought of her today, while having a cold treat, at Friendly Ice Cream, with Andrew. He had a peanut butter topping on peanut butter swirl ice cream, and I had blueberry topping on black raspberry. Of course, since Andrew likes blueberries, he leaned over and took a few spoons of my treat, which was more than OK with me. I wonder if sweet Chey would have liked either of these sundaes, or if perhaps a banana split, pie a la mode, or a hot fudge on chocolate, would have been more to her liking. I certainly wish Cheyenne could be here, to go out for ice cream, pizza, or some other treat, with her folks.

May Christopher have safety while working on the Border Patrol, and may Michael and Diana receive good news from their interviews. I know you are proud of all three of them and of Cheyenne.

I hope you have had a good weekend. God bless you always.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Today's Collect:

Almighty God, by the hand of Mark the evangelist you have given to your Church the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God: We thank you for this witness, and pray that we may be firmly grounded in its truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Since I could not receive today, I have been singing. Perhaps you will join me in this hymn that mentions St. Mark.

By all your saints still striving,
for all your saints at rest,
your holy Name, O Jesus
for evermore be blessed.
You rose, our King victorious,
that we might wear the crown
and ever shine in splendor
reflected from your throne.

For Mark, O Lord we praise you,
the weak by grace made strong:
his witness in his Gospel
becomes victorious song.
May we, in all our weakness,
receive your power divine,
and all, as faithful branches
grow strong in you, the Vine.

Then let us praise the Father
and worship God the Son
and sing to God the Spirit,
eternal Three in One,
till all the ransomed number
who stand before the throne
ascribe all power and glory
and praise to God alone.

I do not know you or your family, I did an internet search for Cheyenne Marie, and saw your Daughter's site. I got goosebumps reading about your Mockingbirds. I went back up to the top of the page and noticed the dates. I got pregnant on September 23, 2004 (my son was born 9/23/97) I had been told I could not get pregnant again after my 3rd child, on Saturday morning October 30th I got an ultrasound showing I was pregnant with twins. Because of the complications from my 3rd pregnancy I was high risk. I found out they were a boy and a girl, we named them Cheyenne Marie, and Zachery Thomas. I lost Cheyenne, when I was 4 months pregnant and almost lost Zachery. I never got to hold or know my angel baby, so I am not going to say I know you feel, I can say that I know how hard it has been for me, and can only imagine how it is for you. I know my little girl is around, Zachery will talk to someone who is not there and ask me who the little girl is, I guess it is a twin thing. I am sorry for taking your time I just was stopped by the dates and the name. I hope you and your family is well Your Cheyenne sounds like she was a special young lady!

Almighty Father, we praise your name for those who, following in the footsteps of your beloved Son, have preached the good news of salvation to the despised and rejected of the earth, not counting the cost to themselves; and we pray that your love for us may enkindle in our hearts an answering love for you and our neighbors, and that your grace may give us wisdom to see the opportunities you give us to serve you, and the courage to grasp them; that in all things we may be made conformable unto the image of the same your Son our Savior Jesus Christ, who now lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and ever. Amen.

Dear Roy and Donna,

Sunday afternoon, Andrew decided to treat Kristen and I to dinner at the Red Lobster, which is one of my favorite places. We had a lovely time, although we all had a difficult time choosing from the ample menu. I was even able to bring home a couple of their excellent Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Since one of Cheyenne's favorite foods was shrimp, I thought of her, when the waitress brought a shrimp appetizer to our table. Cheyenne will always be connected to shrimp, claw machines, and the shepherdess in our parish Jesus and the Children stained glass window, in my mind.

I have been wondering how Cheyenne's garden is coming. Although I have seen one robin, I have not even seen a single crocus this spring, so far. (We have had strange and disagreeable weather.)

God bless you always, and of course, God bless your sweet gal, Cheyenne Marie Fiveash.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Today's Collect:

Do not let your Church close its eyes, O Lord, to the plight of the poor and neglected, the homeless and the destitute, the old and the sick, the lonely and those who have no one to care for them. Give us the vision and compassion with which you so richly endowed your servant William Augustus Muhlenberg, that we may labor tirelessly to heal those who are broken in body or spirit, and to turn their sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

May your sorrow turn into joy today, knowing that Cheyenne lives with our merciful Lord.

Hi there Fiveash family! I've been thinking of you a lot lately. It's strange the daily happenings that remind me of ya'll and Cheyenne. Eric is doing well, maintaining A's so we can't complain. His UIL contest in band is April 17th in Odessa. The Spring Concert/Picnic is in May after their trip to Houston to compete. Bethany is having ear and throat problems again. Hopefully they will take her tonsils out soon.
Hope Diana is doing well and is excited about her new adventures.
How are the boys doing? Haven't heard about them in awhile.
I graduate on 10 May at 10:00AM in the Junell Center. If you can I'd love you to join us! WE LOVE YOU ALL.
I visited Chey's bench just the other day and got to tell my friends from work her story during the Teacher Job Fair. It was really cool!
I hope you all are enjoying the warm weather and Chey's garden is looking beautiful.
Hope to see you soon!

Dear Roy and Donna,

I am thinking of sweet Cheyenne today, and I have paused, here, at my keyboard, to pray for you. A few minutes ago, I received a "Cancer Candle," which I sent along in honor of family members and friends, who have died from this terrible disease. Chey was one of those, in my thoughts, as I did so. She has also been remembered in Eucharist, once again, this weekend.

I have been reading Mrs. Pam's thoughts posted here. We have had a very wet winter/early spring, here, in southern Saratoga County, NY, too. It poured all day on Friday, and we have had a lot of mixed wintery weather for weeks. March ended up being the third wettest March on record here, after February was the second wettest. I can fully understand Mrs. Pam writing about a wild swam. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few ducks, if I looked out the window.

God bless you always, and God bless Mrs. Pam, and all of Cheyenne's other friends, as well.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Happy Official USA National Tartan Day!
Yesterday the Preschoolers marched in the
Tartan Day Parade as the McZion Nessie Fan Clan.
You can see our photos on Ashlee Poland's caringbridge page.
Ashlee is from Oklahoma, and had a double lung transplant in
St. Louis last November. She went home just before Easter, but
was back here having her wisdom teeth pulled. And she and her
grandmother Mormor SURPRISED us by coming to the parade. I
can't tell you how thrilled I was to finally meet them. They are
both so beautiful and delightful.

Hi Roy and Donna
we officially set a record for March Rain,
and now (ugh) it is raining again. I have
a small leak in the basement, and have to keep
soaking it up...spinning/drying towels. but,
of course, it is nothing compared to how many
people have been flooded out of their homes.

How are Chey's Mockingbirds? Right now I have
2 very pale yellow finches feeding outside my window.
BUT, yesterday I saw a bird that I've never seen before
out of water. A black swan was waddling down the
road next to my house. I guess that sorta validates
how much rain we've had... since his feet were
wet, he didn't know that he wasn't swimming. I
discovered that swans are not very graceful walkers.

Dear Roy and Donna,

We had another wintery mess last night, so people are beginning to ask, "Will spring ever come?" Of course it will, but how comforting to know that Cheyenne, and all our dearly departed CaringBridge children, are in a land, where the weather is always pleasant and good things are in abundance. May God bless their sweet spirits, and may God bless you.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Dear Roy and Donna,

This afternoon, Andrew, Kristen, and I had some lunch at Friendly Ice Cream. As I entered the restaurant, I spotted the claw machine and immediately thought of Cheyenne. I looked at all the toys and wondered which ones she would have liked. Later, as we finished our meals, Kristen put together a few quarters so she could play the claw machine on our way out. There was a purple Teddy, which she liked, but he was too near the glass to reach. Instead, she tried unsuccessfully for a turtle, which I am sure Chey would have been able to get. As long as there are claw machines, I will associate them with Cheyenne.

I hope you are both well.

Dear Roy and Donna,
Thank you for sharing your memories of Cheyenne. I bet she was a princess at the dad/daughter dance.:)

I am envious that you had 84 degree weather!:) We still have lots of snow on the ground. We had a total of 80 inches so far this year and I am guessing we have a few more weeks of winter left although spring begins on Thursday. I did see a robin on Sat. though and that lifted my spirits. (silly robin)
All okay here, my mom is recovering from her total knee replacement surgery, it has been a month and she is doing quite well.
The little guys are keeping me busy and I love their visits. Mike, Jodi and the boys are going to TN. for spring break, they invited us to go along, but we are saving to go to Seattle to visit Matthew and Gretchen. They just purchased a new home and we are anxious to check it out:)
Not much other news from here.
Take gentle care and know Chey is always in our hearts and you are always in our prayers.

Here is the song that we sing, year after year, to begin the Palm Procession. If you have time, perhaps you can sing it, too.

Refrain:
All glory, laud, and honor
to thee, Redeemer, King!
to whom the lips of children
made sweet hosannas ring.

Thou art the King of Israel,
thou David's royal Son,
who in the Lord's Name comest,
the King and Blessed One. Refrain

The company of angels
are praising thee on high;
and mortal men and all things
created make reply. Refrain

The people of the Hebrews
with palms before thee went;
our praise and prayer and anthems
before thee we present. Refrain

To thee before thy passion
they sang their hymns of praise;
to thee, now high exalted,
our melody we raise. Refrain

Thou didst accept their praises;
accept the prayers we bring,
who in all good delightest,
thou good and gracious King. Refrain

Words: Theodulph of Orleans (ca. 750-821), ca. 820

Dear Roy and Donna,

Roy's last update speaks of such sweet memories - Cheyenne the fundraiser, the San Angelo Rodeo, and the Daddy and Daughter Dance. I am glad you have these memories of your lovely daughter, and I am glad you have so many photos and other momentos. Somethings many of her friends and supporters also think of include a love for shrimp, playing practical jokes on her dear old dad, using claw machines, playing and watching basketball, involvement in your family church, scrapbooking, karate, doing crafts, enjoying animals, playing board games, and having wonderful friends. She was quite a gal, and we all miss her.

As we approach Holy Week, let me wish you both, and all of Cheyenne's family and friends, a blessed week. God bless you always.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

It has been awhile since I have taken the time to write a hello but i wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you. Miss our babies so much. I was popping around your site and reading some of your past guestbook entries and the one from priscilla made me chuckle. She obviously has never lost a child to cancer. If only we could just snap our fingers and do as she says.... I have loved caringbridge so much, but at times it is so hard because of the "openness" of it. I updated a few days ago and my journal was about that very issue. I talked about the fact that you can be happy and sad at the same time and how I feel so torn at times about JAKE'S caringbridge site.

I wish you peace.

Dear Roy and family,
I am sorry I have not written in Chey's guestbook for such a long time, it does not mean I have forgotten any of you! Daily you are in my prayers. It has been hectic around here to say the least. My mom has had some medical problems and one of which is she had to have a total knee replacement. She had it on Feb. 12th, she is on the re-hab floor of the hospital probably until Weds., surgery went well and her recovery is going well also. I also have an Aunt in the hospital (my mom's sister) she was diagnosed with cancer. (I HATE CANCER with every fiber of my being!) Note to Pricilla: My dad died at the age of 59 from colon cancer almost 26 years ago, and I still miss his presence every single day... did you not ever lose someone you loved? If not you sure are lucky. Don't judge others, it isn't your place to do so.

I recieved in the mail the Shannon's Miracles magazine and was surprised and so proud to see the article about Cheyenne in it. How proud you should all be of your efforts to raise money in memory of Chey. I am sure she is smiling down on you:)

in the 70's you say? We have had a horrible winter....we keep getting snow, snow and more snow....we have had 71 inches so far and we have the rest of Feb. and all of March to go (sometimes April) It it isn't snowing it is freezing cold with the wind chill, we are all getting cabin fever here.

I love the stories of the mockingbirds and can hardly wait to see what you do with the garden this year:)

Know we love you, Chey is in our hearts and we are here if you ever need us for anything!

Roy, Donna, Im sorry to hear someone was being critical.. its part of life unfortunately..they dont understand... We all know you love all of your kids.. this site was made for cheyenne to keep family and friends updated.. it wasnt made for the other members in your family.. Because thank God they dont have cancer. You dont owe anyone an explanation.. Its normal to speak of cheyenne on cheyennes site.. makes all the sence to me.. the site now honors Cheyenns life.. we all come and see her face. remember and pray for you all.And your other children are hurting so much to. I bet diana was thinking of cheyenne during the meal herself.. Cheyenne was not the kind of child you could forget , nor would want to.. 3 yrs and people still come here.. she touched so many lives... and who is this pricilla to say you arent happy??? Shame on you .....until you walk the life that Roy his family my family or any other family has walked this walk you need to keep your ideas to yourself ...I mean really come on who are you anyways ...do you know Roy or his family ? do you know how it is to stand by and watch your loved one die as the cancer takes them away from us with every fiber of your being trying to find a cure and give the quilty of life ...what about knowing how it hurts the depth of your soul to lose that loved one ?
I am appalled by your comment ...I have been coming here for years I dont know if I ever signed but I do know I prayed and cried with Roy and his family ...did you ???
I am rather upset with your comment not only on Roys behalf but on others that are on this same road ...your comment is heartless
If you did know Roy or his famiy you would know that Roy and his family are extreamly close and they all love one anthor ....why is it so hard to understand someones grief why is it not ok for Roy to express his grief in his words ?
I hope to god you never have to go through any of what we have gone through I hope you never feel the hurt or have cancer invade your life ...but I do hope that you have a lil more of a heart and alot more cooth then you do now
My name is Racquell (Pita ) my email will be at the bottom of this post if you want raw real deal then email me dont leave such cothless post to this amazing family
Roy - I am so sorry that she dosnt understand you or your grief ...bobale head silly is what she is ...know that I maynot have lost my child to cancer but I have lost my Dad to cancer this last July ....I understand I support and my heart is with you

Hello Fiveash Family!

It's been so long and I am so sorry. All I ever seem to have time for is fencing and the huge amounts of homework they give out in middle school. I hope you are well. I think about Cheyenne often and I know she is watching over everyone who was in or touched her life. Everytime I have to do something big like a final exam of a big fencing competition, there she is!!!

Did my mom send you the CNN story? If not, here it is just click. You can bet I was thinking of Cheyenne then because the ear piece was falling out and I thought oh great I am going to blow this so Cheyenne do something. And she did because it stayed in for the whole like six minutes. I am sending you all my best!!!!!! Love, Arabella -- click below

Maybe they'll meet up somewhere along the line. Speaking of meeting people, it must be exciting to get to meet the young lady who received the scholarship!

Good luck with all you're doing. Knowing you, it will turn out great.

Hi, Roy, just checking in and glad you updated. I love to hear about the garden and the birds. Hopefully as we come into spring, you will be spending more and more time on the garden and it will be blooming beautifully again. I never come to this site without re-breaking my heart, when I see Cheyenne's beautiful face. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May the prayers of friends and loved ones comfort you on days when you need them most. Love, Linda

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. 10 yrs ago I lost twin boys ( I was 6 months pregnant with them). I believe that they send me signs...I didn't think it was possible but I truly believe!! My 8 yr old daughter MaKayla use to "talk" to them when she was a baby. In Oct 2006 she had her first seizure..a grandmal seizure...the doctors kept telling us that it was undiagnosable..either gliosis or glioma..wait and see if it grows!!! well we waited a MRI was done May2007 and it showed maybe a lil change but not enough to say it has grown or so thats what they said...Another Mri should have been scheduled end of August but it wasn't..Labor Day weekend she started saying that there were floating balls following her and that she thought they were her bubbies..then everything went downhill all of a sudden they had teeth and were trying to eat her..She went into fullblown panic mode..We rushed her to the hospital and scans were done..yes it grew...We soon were able to take her to St.Jude I just wish we couldv'e gotten there sooner..I truly believe that she did "see" her brothers and they were warning us..Some of my family think I'm crazy but I truly believe!!!..Never stop believing!! MaKayla's diagnosis is Glioblastoma Multiforme. Sorry for the long rant but I just wanted to let you know...NEVER stop believing!! Tabitha

Dearest Roy and Donna,
Just wanted you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Cheyenne is thought of often as I have her picture and as you know, the cross she painted for David- displayed, always. Grief is not like a cold, you never get over it- each person deals with it in their own way...as you mentioned in the journal...unless you have traveled the journey you cannot possibly understand it. It saddens me that anyone would leave such a comment, though I'm sure it was not made in malice, but ignorance hurts and is assuming. God Bless you and your fabulous family. Each of your children have accomplished so much and when reading about them it's easy to see how very proud you would be! Cheyenne is the light that you need in the dark...she is love and courage and charm and wit and everything dear...Blessings my friends

Dear Roy, Donna and family,
Prayers being sent up for the Crane family, so sorry to hear of their loss.

It has been an exceptionally cold and snowy winter here. We already had 44 inches of snow, 16 inches above what we usually have at this time of the year. Tonight it is suppose to be -30 with the wind chill...brrrrr. Best place to be is indoors. I have to take my mom to the eye dr. tomorrow bright and early, if I didn't I would hybernate all day!:) Mom is having her knee replaced in Feb. I hope that surgery goes well.
All fine here, the city is in a funk as our Packers didn't get to the super bowl, but the sun still rose on Monday and there are worse things in life. It's only a game!:) We did well through out the year and there's always next year.

Missing your sweetie Chey and keeping her tucked in my heart.
love and hugs,

O Great Spirit, whose breath gives life to the world and whose voice is heard in soft breeze, we need your strength and wisdom. May we walk in beauty. May our eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make us wise so that we may understand what you have taught us. Help us learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock. Make us always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes, so when life fades, as the fading sunset, our spirits may come to you without shame.

I am sorry to hear about the Crane son. I know Donna will be a good help to Pat, as she goes through the initial days of her bereavement. May God bless them both.

I know you are both proud of Diana. She is a fine young woman.

Please keep us updated on Christopher and his family. He will be in our prayers.

Today's saint is Antony of Egypt. His biography was written by Athanasius, who said of him: "Who ever met him grieving and failed to go away rejoicing?" Let us strive to be a similar help to those around us.

The Collect:

Dear Roy and Donna,

As we draw near to the end of the Christmas season, let us remember that Christmas is really an everyday feast.

Work of Christmas Begins
By Howard Thurman (adapted)

"When the song of the angels is stilled,
when the star in the sky is gone,
when the kings and princes are home,
when the shepherds are back with the flocks,
then the work of Christmas begins:
to find the lost,
to heal those broken in spirit,
to feed the hungry,
to release the oppressed,
to rebuild the nations,
to bring peace among all peoples,
to make a little music with the heart…
And to radiate the Light of Christ,
every day, in every way, in all that we do and in all that we say.
Then the work of Christmas begins.
The message of the Feast of Epiphany announces to all people, everywhere:
Rise up in splendor…your light has come,
The Glory of the Lord shines upon you!

Let the work of Christmas begin, and let it begin with you."

My thoughts and prayers are with you both, and I am remembering sweet Cheyenne.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

to seek Your truth,

Like your servant Francis, make me an instrument of Your peace

Dear Roy and Donna,

Cheyenne was remembered, in Holy Eucharist, this morning, on the Feast of St. Stephen. Perhaps you have sung Good King Wenceslas with your children, when they were little. The king and his page, in the song, were celebrating this feast.

Good King Wenceslas looked out, on the Feast of Stephen,
When the snow lay round about, deep and crisp and even;
Brightly shone the moon that night, tho' the frost was cruel,
When a poor man came in sight, gath'ring winter fuel.

"Hither, page, and stand by me, if thou know'st it, telling,
Yonder peasant, who is he? Where and what his dwelling?"
"Sire, he lives a good league hence, underneath the mountain;
Right against the forest fence, by Saint Agnes' fountain."

"Bring me flesh, and bring me wine, bring me pine logs hither:
Thou and I will see him dine, when we bear them thither."
Page and monarch, forth they went, forth they went together;
Through the rude wind's wild lament and the bitter weather.

"Sire, the night is darker now, and the winds blow stronger;
Fails my heart, I know not how, I can go no longer."
"Mark my footsteps, my good page. Treadst thou in them boldly:
Thou shalt find the winter's rage freeze thy blood less coldly."

In his master's steps he trod, where the snow lay dinted;
Heat was in the very sod which the saint had printed.
Therefore, Christian men, be sure, wealth or rank possessing,
Ye who now will bless the poor, shall yourselves find blessing.

~John Mason Neale (1818-1866)

God bless you always, and of course, God bless Cheyenne.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Early this morning, I spotted a bright red cardinal, in the tree, near my bathroom window. I had to smile, watching him. He made me think of your dear Cheyenne, who loved all animals. That trust thy mighty power to save,
And give them victory over the grave.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I am thinking of you, and of sweet Cheyenne, on a day that is special in our family life. I wish you had the joy of having Chey with you, as I have the joy of having Andrew with me, but I know that you and Cheyenne will be reunited in God's eternal kingdom. On that day, all shall be well.

in ancient times once gave the law
in cloud and majesty and awe.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.

Dear Roy and Donna,

My thoughts are with you as we get a little closer to Christmas. I know you must miss sweet Cheyenne very much. All of her friends miss her, too.

Please sing/pray the second O Antiphon with me today. I will add the first antiphon below. (I was called away from my computer yesterday before I could send it.)

God bless you always, and of course, God bless sweet Chey.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

The call of Advent is a call to live wide awake so that we can be alert to God working in us and in our world to bring about the Kingdom. Awareness is another way of talking about being awake. Work today to be aware of the needs of people around you, because God calls us through those very needs. Each time we answer to them, the Kingdom comes nearer.

Hi Roy and Donna
Just wanted you to know that I
was thinking about you and Cheyenne.
I was supposed to host the church's Bridge
Group tonight, but snow has made it impossible
for 2 folks (who moved to Timbuktu) to make it in.
Not complaining, 'cuz I can go to bed early, and I
just invited three friends to come for dinner Monday night.

Roy, I thought you left us for awhile.. You did, but I was beginning to think you were never going to update us. Im so glad you did.... I think of cheyenne all the time. everyday in fact! sometimes many times in a day. Its Odd in a good way how some one I never met in person could hold such a special place in my heart but she does!
I feel that Cheyenne is really Good , happy and doing what God callled her to do. maybe its part of Knowing Cheyenne and the fact she suceeded at everything she did.
I also think about james and how sad he was when cheyenne went to be with jesus. and The pictures you had of them on her page before. I am praying that james will be o.k.. Christmas season is here. I so wish we could all get back to the reason of the season... We are to hurried and stressed to get the perfect gift .. and its not our Birthday its the Lords so its all a huge stresser and I find myself wishing it was over .. when that is not the purpose. The poor little kitten that got ran over... How sad. and then you said that you thought he was mentally impaired... and cheyenne would want him! your right she would... Maybe that is why he came to be with you! Ihope he is o.k in the long run... they live long so 15-20 yrs of being impaired is a sad long time. Well i wanted to say we Love and think of you all! and hope that Cheyenne shows her adorable self to you in some way during the holidays! You know she is there................

Happy St. Nicholas Day, Fiveash Family And Friends Of Cheyenne!

Dear Roy and Donna,

I am glad you could attend the Compassionate Friends Christmas program and could light a candle in honor of Cheyenne. Compassionate Friends is a good organization.

My prayers are with Cheyenne's friend, James. He, like she, is a wonderful young person.

Cheyenne will be remembered often during this season of giving, as she was a model of kindness and generousity, like holy Nicholas of Myra.

God bless you all.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Almighty God, who in your love gave to your servant Nicholas of Myra a perpetual name for deeds of kindness on land and sea: Grant, we pray, that your Church may never cease to work for the happiness of children, the safety of sailors, the relief of the poor, and the help of those tossed by tempests of doubt or grief; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Donna and Roy,
I know someone in Seattle who would have taken a kitten off your hands as Matthew and Gretchen's 2 year old cat just passed away, he was a sweetie named Stanlee. They have 3 other cats and I am sure a new one will make its way into their home soon. They are planning to buy a new home, so maybe they will wait until they settle in.
We had a snow storm on Sat.....too early for that, makes winter so much longer when the snow flies so early! It was a miserable day and the best place to be was indoors. We decorated our tree.
All fine here, busy preparing for Christmas, my family will be here on Christmas Eve, there will be 47 of us~ it really was my brother Kevin's and his wife Lisa's turn but their son is getting married Jan. 18th, so I switched with them...have lots to do to be ready, but in due time I say.
take gentle care and know Chey is in my thoughts and my heart every single day and you are in my prayers.
God Bless,
love and hugs,

As we begin the Advent season, I am thinking of all of you and of your family. This weekend, we lit the first candle, the one that stands for hope. As we do this, either actually, or in imagination, may you hope deeply in our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the reason for this season.

Dear Roy and Donna,

Today is the Feast of St. Andrew for whom my son was named. It is also a red letter day in our church, so I hope to attend Eucharist. While there, I will remember sweet Cheyenne.

About three entries down, there is a reference to a James, who had a seizure. I hope this is not the wonderful young man, who is such a dear friend of Cheyenne. If it is, can you update all of Cheyenne's friends on his condition?

Beneath my signature I will place the collect for today.

God bless you always.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Almighty God, who gave such grace to your apostle Andrew that he readily obeyed the call of your Son Jesus Christ, and brought his brother with him: Give unto us, who are called by your Word, grace to follow him without delay, and to bring those near to us into his gracious presence; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Dear Roy and Donna,

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day, centered on church, food, and companionship. I hope you and your family did, too.

I continue to think of Cheyenne, and I will remember her in the celebration of the Eucharist this weekend.

Yesterday was the 44th anniversary of the arrival of C.S. Lewis into heaven. As youngsters, my boys loved The Chronicles of Narnia. Andrew, the avid reader, has read all seven books many times, and he almost wore out the BBC movies, which he borrowed repeatedly from our public library. I wonder if Cheyenne knew those books. Beneath my signature, I will add the collect for Lewis.

God bless you always.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Almighty God, whose servant C S Lewis received of your grace Singular gifts of insight in understanding the truth in Christ Jesus, and of eloquence and clarity in presenting that truth to his readers: Raise up in our day faithful interpreters of your Word, that we, being set free from all error and unbelief, may come to the knowledge that makes us wise unto salvation: through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Accept, O Lord, our thanks and praise for all that you have done for us. We thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love.

We thank you for the blessing of family and friends, and for the loving care which surrounds us on every side.

We thank you for setting us at tasks which demand our best efforts, and for leading us to accomplishments which satisfy and delight us.

We thank you also for those disappointments and failures that lead us to acknowledge our dependence on you alone.

Above all, we thank you for you Son, Jesus Christ; for the truth of his Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which he overcame temptation; for his dying, through which he overcame death; and for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of your kingdom.

Grant us the gift of your Spirit, that we may know him and make him known; and through him, at all times and in all places, may give thanks to you in all things. Amen.

Gratefully. Faithfully. Peacefully.

"Come, ye thankful people, come,
raise the song of harvest home;
all is safely gathered in,
ere the winter storms begin.
God our Maker doth provide

raise the song of harvest home. '

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

Dear Caring Bridge friends,

The holidays are here. I trust that God is guiding you through days that may be filled with a vast array of emotions. For some, the time will be spent in a hospital. For others, you may be at home waiting on test results. There will be those who have received good news and perhaps a physical healing that will undoubtedly cause rejoicing and celebration. And for those who may have an empty chair at your holiday gatherings, may the love of God fill the hole that is in your heart.

It's possible that I will once again sound like a broken record as I tell you that I do not know what you are facing. No, I have not been down that road. I remember a movie-I think it was "Twister", where one actor commented about a tornado taking one house and leaving the next. I suppose there are some who feel like God 'takes' individuals and to them it seems so unfair. My Christian belief tells me that God doesn't take anyone. God is in control and nothing happens without his direction or his approval. But to say that God sits on his throne and dishes out circumstances is beyond my belief of the nature of God. Bad things happen to good people because we don't live in a perfect world. One person gets cancer and the next doesn't. One child gets Fanconi Anemia and the next doesn't. Even though I don't know where you are, I could see where one might question that happening. I don't know and I'm not going to try to explain it either.

The child of God believes there is more than just what we have here and now. I believe the bible tells us that Jesus has gone to prepare a place and when he returns, he will take the faithful to that place to live eternally with no pain, no fear, nothing negative in any way whatsoever!

The coming days may be very difficult for you. None of 'us' can understand the how and why of it all. But, I hope you will surround yourself with family and friends during this time and that you all will draw strength from each other. I also hope that you will open up your heart and allow God to fill you with his love, comfort, and care.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: 'For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.' No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35-39(NIV)

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you. I count it a blessing to have you as a part of my life!

I was looking at the Audrey's Umbrella webpage, and visiting the Angel's page was so sad. We have so many angels who even though I never met them in person, were so wonderfully alive and loved so much by so many. Sometimes thinking about them makes me feel such sorrow in my heart that they are no longer here on earth with us.

When my boys were little, we had a package of paper bookmarks with a picture of a Teddy bear and those words, which we, from time to time, threw into the cards we sent out. We enjoyed those bookmarks so much, that we bought several additional sets over the years.

I know that your love for Cheyenne reaches into the sky and back again. I know you have told her "to the moon and back."

Despite how you may feel today, this love you have for Cheyenne continues to exist and continues to reach to the moon and back. This love you have for your daughter, is a love for all eternity. Embrace it, and know, as you do, that God's love also reaches out to you, even this day, even now.

Hello Roy and Donna,

I was thinking of my Zach and your Cheyenne and thought I'd stop by to see how you are. I have been in a really weird place lately. I miss my Zach so much. It is so hard to believe that it has been 4 years since he went to Heaven and it hasn't gotten any easier or less painful. I love your Mockingbird stories. They are so precious. I am so sorry we missed the bike run this year but plan on attending next year so keep me posted about it. That is a wonderful thing you are doing in memory of Cheyenne. Zach's school started a scholarship fund when he passed away that will go to one student in his class when they graduate from high school. Every year on his birthday (November 15th) they advertise and except monetary donations. People are just amazing aren't they? These things are so special to us, more than they'll ever know. It lets us know that everyone still remembers our precious babies. I hope all is well with you both and that you continue to be blessed with beautiful reminders that Cheyenne is still there with you.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I have been thinking of you, often, throughout today, and I have been remembering sweet Cheyenne. It does not seem possible that it has been three years, since you have seen her smile and heard her laugh. Thank God that life as we know it, is not the end. Death is the gateway to eternal life. Jesus taught us this, and we can be sure of it.

God bless you, Michael, Christopher, Diana, and of course, Cheyenne Marie, herself.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

By his weeping at Lazarus' tomb, Jesus made holy our tears. So may he, the Risen One, transform each tear into a prayer bead for our beloved ones. Grant, O God, that in our grieving we may be in a Holy Communion of Sorrow and of Prayer wedded to our hope in that Great Easter to come.

Roy , Donna... I could think of nothing else today but Cheyenne and you all.... What an awful anniversary today is... The only thing to Celebrate is Cheyennes Complete healing in Heaven... But in perfect world she would be here with you and healed. Everyone Who knew cheyenne Or knew of her misses her. She changed everyones life she touched in some way.... She was already an Angel... You know that! I think Of all the things she must be doing with connor, and maddie, maxie, nolan, JacobD, julia, colette, savannah. Mckenzie jakey bear and the list is much to long... So many you get attached to .. Cheyenne is still a beautiful loving image I think of daily... If I was granted a DO over... It would be for Cheyenne to be with you.... That seems much better than asking to be 20 again! love to you all!

Dear Roy and Donna and Family,

I am thinking of you all on this bittersweet anniversary.

While at St. George's, yesterday, I touched the name plate of my friend, Mike Stevens, who shares this anniversary day and year with Cheyenne. For me, it is like touching an object relating to Cheyenne, as well.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all today and every day.

All mankind is one volume. When one man dies, one chapter is torn out of the book and translated into a better language. And every chapter must be so translated. God employs several translators. Some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice. But God's hand shall bind up all our scattered leaves again for that library where every book shall lie open to another.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I want you to know that I lit a candle for Cheyenne, at Barbara Crafton's Geranium Farm, this afternoon. I also lit one for my friend, Dr. Michael Steven, who shared the October 30, 2004, entry into heaven, and for sweet little Connor Hunley, who followed two days later.

There isn't a lot of room to write on Crafton's website, but, here is what I said:

+ This candle is for Cheyenne Marie Fiveash from Texas +
for the memory of sweet Cheyenne, who died on 10/30/04, and for blessings for her family and friends

~ this candle was lit by Colette from Clifton Park, NY

You can view the candle online at:

My thoughts are with you both, and they are also with Michael, Christopher, Diana, and all of Cheyenne's many other relatives and friends.

Woke up today with thoughts of Cheyenne. I probably had a dream about her, but unfortunately can't remember it. I had another one last year and I do remember that one. I dreamed we were both in Heaven and we were on a large couch looking at one of her photo albums. She shared her entire life in the dream.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I love Cheyenne's big smile, the light in her eyes, and the way her head is turned in this picture. It has long been among my favorites. What a joy to see it enlarged!

A couple of nights ago, I drove a friend to a conference. As we went down a woodsy road, I spotted six to eight young deer, in the field, on her side of the road. What a beautiful sight in the twilight! I am sure Cheyenne sees examples of this kind of natural beauty each and every day, in heaven.

What a great story about the woman seeing Cheyenne tee shirts, in the airport, so far from Texas! Your gal is certainly known and loved.

God bless you all.

Dear Roy and Donna,
Thinking of you sweet Cheyenne tonight. Glad to hear the fundraiser was such a $UCCE$$:) Awesome so many were wearing Chey's t shirts at the Las Vegas airport..this is usually the time we are in Vegas but since Dave changed jobs we don't go there every fall anymore. I would have loved to have seen all those people in the airport, I know I would have went up and told them I knew Chey via the Caringbridge site.
Fall is here and we are preparing for winter....I love spring the best!
Take gentle care and know you are loved and Cheyenne's is forever in our hearts.

You will be a special intention in my prayers this weekend, and of course, on October 30. God bless you, Cheyenne's siblings, and Cheyenne's grandparents. Also, God bless James and all of Cheyenne's special friends.

Last week I finally started reading Randy Alcorn's Heaven.
I don't really read too many books that aren't related to my
lesson plans... (is it okay for a teacher to admit that?) I think it is actually the process of sitting down, and doing nothing active that is my hang-up because once I get into a book,
I truly enjoy it. So, instead of doing my Bible studies first thing every morning, I've decided to read Heaven. Just knowing that Cheyenne is included in the list of dedication is mind boggling.
It also mind-boggles me knowing that Alcorn spent 25 years writing this book... talk about perseverance! (At least, I think he said it took that long.) So, I just wanted to thank you for letting
Cheyenne's fans know about this book.

Holding you in my prayers as you face the upcoming difficult
week.

An Appropriate Hymn:

By all your saints still striving,
for all your saints at rest,
your holy Name, O Jesus
for evermore be blessed.
You rose, our King victorious,
that we might wear the crown
and ever shine in splendor
reflected from your throne.

For Luke, beloved physician,
all praise, whose Gospel shows
the healer of the nations,
the one who shares our woes.
Your wine and oil, O Savior,
upon our spirits pour,
and with true balm of Gilead
anoint us evermore.

Then let us praise the Father
and worship God the Son
and sing to God the Spirit,
eternal Three in One,
till all the ransomed number
who stand before the throne
ascribe all power and glory
and praise to God alone.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I have been here every day for the last few days, but I have not left a note. Your sweet Cheyenne is not forgotten.

Yesterday's saint, Teresa of Avila, was one that Chey would have liked. Teresa did not like dour saints and was known to dance, even on table tops. As Cheyenne, she loved people and was very intelligent. I will leave a collect below.

God bless you both, and God bless your parents, your children, and your grandchildren.

If Christ Jesus dwells in a man as his friend and noble leader, that man can endure all things, for Christ helps and strengthens us and never abandons us. He is a true friend. And I clearly see that is we expect to please him and receive an abundance of his graces, God desires that these graces must come to us from the hands of Christ, through his most sacred humanity, in which God takes delight.

Prayer For Peace
Attributed To St. Francis Of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument
of Your Peace.
Where there is hatred,
let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying
that we are born to Eternal Life.

Dear Roy and Donna,

I am remembering Cheyenne and thinking of you both, on the feast day of one of the most popular of all saints. Heaven is very full, but perhaps Chey has met this little saint, who loved all kinds of animals. Perhaps, as Francis loved to do, he and Cheyenne are out preaching to birds today. Maybe they have Connor, and others animal lovers, with them. Now there's a thought!

God bless you both, and of course, God bless your sweet gal, Cheyenne Marie Fiveash.

All best wishes to Christopher, Michael, and Diana.

Hymn Based On Writing Of St. Francis:

All creatures of our God and King,
lift up your voices, let us sing:
Alleluia, alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beams,
thou silver moon that gently gleams,
Refrain:
O praise him, O praise him,
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Thou rushing wind that art so strong,
ye clouds that sail in heaven along,
O praise him, Alleluia!
Thou rising morn, in praise rejoice,
ye lights of evening, find a voice, (R)

Thou flowing water, pure and clear,
make music for thy Lord to hear,
Alleluia, alleluia!
Thou fire so masterful and bright,
that givest man both warmth and light, (R)

Dear mother earth, who day by day
unfoldest blessings on our way,
O praise him, Alleluia!
The flowers and fruits that in thee grow,
let them his glory also show: (R)

And all ye men of tender heart,
forgiving others, take your part,
O sing ye Alleluia!
Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,
praise God and on him cast your care: (R)

And thou, most kind and gentle death,
waiting to hush our latest breath,
O praise him, Alleluia!
Thou leadest home the child of God,
and Christ our Lord the way hath trod: (R)

Let all things their Creator bless,
and worship him in humbleness,
O praise him, Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
and praise the Spirit, Three in One: (R)

Cheyenne was remembered in weekend Eucharist, at St. George's. I was especially aware of her on Saturday, when we celebrated the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels, knowing that her dear brothers are named Michael and Christopher. May God bless them all.

Beneath my signature is one of my favorite hymns about angels. I hope you enjoy it.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Christ, the fair glory of the holy angels,
thou who hast made us, thou who o'er us rulest,
grant of thy mercy unto us thy servants
steps up to heaven.

Send thine archangel Michael to our succor;
peacemaker blessèd, may he banish from us
striving and hatred, so that for the peaceful
all things may prosper.

Send thine archangel Gabriel, the mighty;
herald of heaven, may he, from us mortals,
spurn the old serpent, watching o'er the temples
where thou art worshiped.

Send thine archangel Raphael, the restorer
of the misguided ways of men who wander,
who at thy bidding strengthens soul and body
with thine anointing.

May the blest mother of our God and Savior,
may the assembly of the saints in glory,
may the celestial companies of angels
ever assist us.

Father Almighty, Son, and Holy Spirit,
God ever blessèd, be thou our preserver;
thine is the glory which the angels worship,
veiling their faces.

Yesterday, Andrew, Kristen, and I had lunch at a Friendly Ice Cream, in Latham. As I got up to leave, there, at the side, was a claw machine. I backtracked to view its contents and to think of Miss Cheyenne.

God bless you both, and of course, God bless your sweet gal, Cheyenne Marie Fiveash.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

Dear Roy and Donna,

Thank you for sharing the description and pictures from Cheyenne's Motor Cycle Rally. I was glad to learn that Bishop Pfeifer was on hand to pray and to remember Cheyenne and to also learn that Chey's best school friends could attend. It was heartening to read of the generosity of Maddie's family, of Rita, and of the Karate students. I know Saturday was a day that recalled Cheyenne and honored God. May God bless you both, and may God bless all that participated. I am sure you came home tired, but I know it was a good kind of tired.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Dear Roy and Donna,

I hope Kirby Park and Pavilion is crowded with folks there to honor Cheyenne and to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. I know Cheyenne is proud of her loving father and mother and of all they do to carry on her work in this world. My thoughts and prayers are with you all today.

Beneath my signature is the collect for the weekend. It is one of my favorites.

Grant us, Lord, not to be anxious about earthly things, but to love things heavenly; and even now, while we are placed among things that are passing away, to hold fast to those that shall endure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Dear Roy and Donna,

Good luck with the Cheyenne Fiveash Memorial Motorcycle Rally tomorrow. May the event be filled with Cheyenne's spirit, and may it earn lots of money for one of Chey's favorite charities. We are having a period of beautiful weather, here in the Northeast, and we hope you have lovely weather for Cheyenne's rally.

God bless you both, and of course, God bless your sweet gal, Cheyenne Marie Fiveash.

Beneath my signature, I will add today's collect.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

We thank thee, heavenly Father, for the witness of your apostle and evangelist Matthew to the Gospel of your Son our Savior; and we pray that, after his example, we may with ready wills and hearts obey the calling of our Lord to follow him; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Dear Roy and Donna,

Cheyenne was remembered on Thursday night, at Eucharist, at St. George's, and she will be remembered over her birthday weekend, as well. May God bless her sweet spirit.

Today's saint is Matthew, the Apostle. I am leaving a hymn that mentions Matthew and which makes me think of all of the saints, including your lovely daughter.

Good luck with the rally, and God bless you both.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

~Colette

By all your saints still striving,
for all your saints at rest,
your holy Name, O Jesus
for evermore be blessed.
You rose, our King victorious,
that they might wear the crown
and ever shine in splendor
reflected from your throne.

We praise you, Lord, for Matthew,
whose gospel words declare
that, that worldly gain forsaking,
your path of life we share.
From all unrighteous mammon,
O raise our eyes anew,
that we, whate'er our station
may rise and follow you.

Then let us praise the Father
and worship God the Son
and sing to God the Spirit,
eternal Three in One,
till all the ransomed number
who stand before the throne
ascribe all power and glory
and praise to God alone.

Lyrics: Horatio Bolton Nelson (1823-1913)

Roy and Donna, it is hard to believe cheyenne would be 16 next week. Kyle just turned 16 in august.. he has his permit, girlfriend, working ect. it seems like yesterday they were just kids.. I was watching Bridge to teribithia ... you have to watch that movie.. It reminded me of cheyenne full of life and energy.. and the girls best friend in the movie reminded me of her neighbor that took her to the dance or sent her flowers. Im so sorry I cant think of his name now. i knew it yesterday.. anyway It reminded me so much of how I pictured them. I keep you in my prayers always! and will never forget chey!!!

Dear Roy and Donna,

On Patriot Day, I am thinking of a friend, who lost his life, at the World Trade Center, and I am also remembering sweet Cheyenne, and several other CaringBridge kids. May God bless all of the faithful departed, and may God comfort you, and all of the families.

I hope Diana is enjoying her academic school year and her various activities. I am also thinking of all of Chey's grandparents and hope they are all doing well.

God bless each and every one of the Fiveash family.

Grace, peace, love, and all good,

Almighty God, we entrust all who are dear to us to your never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come, knowing that you are doing for them better things than we can desire or pray for, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Hello Fiveash Family. Just stopping by to let you know we are thinking of you always. I've run into so many folks planning to attend Chey's big celebration. I'm going to see Emma today and secure our t-shirts. Hopefully they will be in so the boys can wear them on their trip! They are unhappy they will miss the event, but they will certainly be thinking of all of us there and of Cheyenne!
Be sure to stop a moment and say a prayer for our nation today as we all stop for a moment to pay honor and tribute to Patriots who have gone to Heaven and those still fighting and for our nation.
We love you all!!!
