Helo to all of our frinds.....
I know it's been awhile......... Stormy is doing so good...I somtimes can't believe everything that she has gone through and yet she still keeps going and going. She still suffers from headaches. The docotrs are saying that she probably always will. She did go to her check up at St.Jude's.Everything was good. Her bloodwork was clean as a whistle. The endricine clinic did some of thier own blood work to check Stormy's cortisol level. Her level turned out okay.Thier are signs showing that Stormy's ovaries are failing. I'm just turning this over to God and let him take care of it!!! i know that he's seen her though aome really difficult times and he will always be there.
I'm happy to say that Stormy will celebrate her 10th birthday on June 19th............
Oh my I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about it.. So many, many milestones she has overcome.
She was invited to compete in our County's Special Olympics on the 10th of this month. She was so excited, outside practicing everyday. She brought home a gold medal in the 50 meter run and a silver medal in the softball throw.Watching every child there inspired me beyond words. They went out there and gave it thier all and was so very proud of not only thierselves but each other!
Adults could really learn from these Special Olympians.Stormy has passed to the 3rd grade and wills till needs lots of one on one teaching but I'm so happy to say that she's actually reading to me.At a first grade level. She tells me somtimes"mom,I can read it by myself!"
WOW!!!!!!
Thank each and every one of you guys who keep my family in your prayers as they are what pulls us through.Even though I do not sign guestbooks as often as i was it does not mean I do not think of you guys!!!
God bless you all!!!!!

Stormy's daddy Philip snapped this picture of her acting Silly. One of her favorite things to do in the world is make people laugh.....We are preparing for our trip to St.Jude's. Stormy is all excited.Everytime we go she is spoiled rotten. She loves every minute of it. I'm always full of mixed emotions when we go back.I'm miss those we have got close too and they got to go to heaven.I'm happy for those who are in remmission. Then I'm a bundle of nerves while Stormy is getting all of her tests done and although I know God is in complete control I'm always nervous.
Life can change in an instant. It's so prescious. So here is her schedule as follows

Feb 2oth 8:00 a.m. a/t lab genereal
8:30a.m. patient history and screening
9:00a.m. pulmonary functions studies
10:15 a.m.bmt annual

Bless her Lord,
Tonya

I know it's been awhile since I last updated on Stormy.
She is doing really good. She has had severeal sinus infections but that's normal for Stormy this time of year.
She's starting to get taller which is a good thing!!! Maybe when we go back to St.Jude's in Febuary they won't talk about growth injections.OUCHY!!!She hasen't grown alot just a little bit.Every little bit counts though. She weighs about 97 pounds and will be ten years old in June.I know this is somthing that I'm gonna hear from nutrition about.Nutrition needs to realize that I'm doing the best I can do.
I'm not going to always stress to her "Stormy you can't eat that because it's not healthy" She starts to get frustrated and upset and starts calling herself fat and ugly!!!!
I do try to watch her suger intake and always make sure that thier is alot of fresh fruit and vegtables in the fridge.
Stormy can't go outside up here for a long period of time so she not getting much excersice. If she goes outside alot breathing cold air in her lungs she will end up sick again.
So,We will just take it day by day .
She is still having diffficulties trying to learn to read.Although, she does notice some site words now. She has special classes at school that helps her with this. She's improving alot in math. She count all the way to 46 now!!!!!She's learned to whistle and snap her fingers. Now she's working on tying her shoes.
Her hands are weak from all the chemo she has had to have but she will learn in her own time. She says to tell everyone hi and that she loves them. We hope that you guys have a great day.......

Hi everyone!
Sorry I have not updated in a while.Things here have been really hectic.I've started working again .I really don't like my job but it's a income! Things with Stormy are good. She's learning fast at school. Exspecially since she's in a pull out class now! Sometimes you have to fight for your kids to learn.
She is sick with a yucky stomach virus right now.She was up all night throwing up and headache.
She's crashed on the sofa right now.
Her brother is still doing good .He's looking froward tog etting the brace of his leg in January but not the surgery. I just hope that after all the things that are tore are fixed that he will not have problems with his leg after that.
God bless you guys and take care.
Remember to pray for all the children that are sick with diseases.

Well here we are again at St.Jude's.Stormy had to go to Labohner's Childrens Hospital for a three hour test wich ended up being a seven hour test. Her little veins are just so tiny that it's hard to get a good i.v.So,they eventualy got one in her left foot near her ankle. It lasted long enough to get the medicine run through her that they needed her to have for the tests. The test required eleven lab draws. In three hours!!!!
So after the i.v quit working. The nurse decided it would be best if we just used butterfly needles in her little veins and get the last four lab draws.
I was really mad by the time we left that hospital.I guess that Stormy and I are spoiled for St.Judes.We love they way they do everything. We will be here the rest of the week.Leaving to go home on Friday if all goes well.
So Just Keep Stormy in your prayers as well as theses little warriors at St.Jude's.
God Bless you all and have a blessed day.
Tonya

Hello again to all of our gang!

Wanted to let you know that Stormy is quite sick right now! She came in my room about 4:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. She was shaking so bad I thought at first that she was having a seizure.Untill I grabbed her.She was burning hot. I took her tempurature wiht a ear thermomater. It came back 104.5! I was thinking that that could not be right. So, I took it agian This time it was 104.7!
I immedatly ran for the motrin and gave her three teaspoons.
Her fever came down to 103.3.I took of her p.j.'s and turned a fan on her and turned the central air to 60.Her fever came down to 102.7.By this time it was going on 7:30 a.m. I got her ready to go to her pediatrician who thankfully is opened on Saturdays!!!
We got there and he took one look at her and knew she was really sick.He sent us to the local er to get a chest x-ray.We came back witht he films. He said that he saw a little striking in there but to much.
He had the nurse give Stormy two shots of Rocefin in her arms.A prescription for Nausea and Omnicef. We were sent home. She continued to run a high fever all day.Throwing up and not wanting to move.Bless her heart.
Finally her fever broke about 1:30 a.m and she stayed home from school today as she is still really conjested and spitting lots of" mucas bugs" up out of her chest. She is doing better now but is still not feeling up to her normal self.So just say a little prayer for my baby girl that she will be feeling much better .
I was scared when I seen how high her fever was !!!
I also wanted to let you know about this song called The Halls of St.Judes.
Another st.Jude mom sent it to my email. It's beautifull. So go to this site and listen to it o.k.

http://www.garageband.com/artist/kaylalocicero
it's a beautifull song.

Friday, August 4, 2006 4:52 PM CDT

Well I just want to let all of you guys know that Stormy's appoinments to St.Jude's were cancelled because she cought strep throat the day before we were suppose to leave! She was running high fevers and really felt YUCKY!
When she runs a fever over a certain degree I have to stress dose her with a medicine called hydracortizone.Since we were going to get tests done at the Endracrin clininc. This would have made all of her levels crazy and the tests they wanted to do would have been useless.
So we are still at home. She is feeling better with the help of some antibiotics, popcicles and mommy!!!!

God bless you all!
Tonya

FRIENDS ARE ANGELS WHO
LIFT US TO OUR FEET
WHEN OUR WINGS HAVE
TROUBLE REMEMBERING
TO FLY.

Wow! I thought that this was a short but powerfull message! I know if it were not for my friends and family being there for us the road would have seemed alot longer and rougher!
Although I know that God is responsible for Stormy's healing. He is my rock and I talk and pray to him everyday.Thank you God.

I have a a few prayer requests............

My grandmother Helen just found out that the lower part of heart is dying. She's not getting enough oxygen to it so therfore it's dying. She is going to see a cardiac specialist and see what he says needs to happen. We know that she will have to have open heart surgurey.I know that God will take care of my gramma but she's my gramma and I love her.
She has such a huge, giving, heart. She's taking care of three of her grandchildren. They all have problems in one way or the other and it's not a easy job.The only thing she is worried about is what will happen to those kids. If God was to take her. She is such a giving lady. So please pray for my gramma.Pray that
God will lead the doctors to do what is best for her! Pray that she can have stregth to keep on keeping on as she gets tired really easy.Pray that the family will be strong for her.Thank you so very musch for your prayers.

Also we will be going to St.Jude's on the 2,3,4, of August for Stormy's testing.Pray that all her tests will come back nod! No Evidence of Disease. I have been concerned about a few things with her.She has been getting really tired latley.I mean sleeping untill 11:00 in the morning. Then taking a nap aroung 5:00 or so.She's been complaing of a sore throat also.I'm taking her to her doctor Monday in the morning.Just to be on the safe side.
I will let you guys know how things are going while we are down there o.k.
Love you all and God Bless!

THIS IS ONE OF STORMY'S FAVORITE SONGS.SHE SINGS IT WITH SUCH FEELING.

God's Will Well we are finally back form our Vacation. It was so wonderfull to be with Philip's family. This was the first time we have left Tennesse since Stomy started going to St.Jude's 4 years ago.So it was looooooong over due. Beings we were in Texas we all came back with a great tan! It is so hot there.
We are just trying to get settled back in and rest up a little. Stormy is doing great she is enjoying being able to sleep in her bed.She missed her white Snouzer Lucky. She has had him since she was six months into her treatments. So is very, very special to her.
We had to cancel her appointment at St.Judes because our visit lasted longer than what we thought it would. We have rescheduled and she goes back on August 2nd and 3rd. I know that she is still cancer free.A mom just knows these things.I can't really explain it .Every time Stormy would relapse I already knew it before the doctors confirmed it.
She's doing great right now.I think she is still having some thyroid problems though. She gets overheated really easy and is still gaining weight. She is active though. We will find out soon enough!
Chris is good.He starts his Physical Therapy on Mon at 10:00 a.m.He can bend his knee but still walks with a bad limp and it hurts him quite a bit if he over does it.
I'm going to see about Stormy getting back into Physical Therapy. It will help her I'm sure. have to call and make a appoinment for her two get the last of her immunizations for school. It starts on the 8th of August. Then she will be done with them and not have to worry about them ever again! I'm posting new photos in the guestbook of family and our vacation.
God Bless you all and hope your summer is a HAPPY ONE!

Hello to all of our friends!
Well I'm so glad to have the internet back! It just takes a while to get cought up on the bills. My job is coninuing to go well although it's hard.I'm responsable for alot of employees and money.
A quick update on Chris........ He eneded up tearing his maniscus, It is the cartlage that lays between your knee cap.So, after school let's out he will have to have surgury to fix it,He will still have a torn acl, pcl, mcl and bi latereal ligaments.Thier is not much the doc can do for that untill his growing slows. If she tries to fix it now it could stunt his growth in one leg. He's mad because he knows that football is out of the question!
Everyone knows that Stormy has been having terrible problems with her sinuses. She's been going to see a doctor in Chattanooga. His name is Doctor Bookout. He has decided that Stormy needs her adnoids removed and her sinus cleaned out with surgery.
This is scheduled for July 18 .She will talk funny for a little while and have bad breath but at least she will be able to breath again!!!!!!
She still suffers from severe headaches due to her sinuses.I just had to go to court because she had 9 unexcuses abscenses. It was rediculous. Everything was thrown out and we were told to apply for a 505 for the next school year.
We are thinking of moving back to Texas though.Just because the school system here in Tennessee is not all that great.
I wont keep going on and on.Just know that we think of you all and thanks for signing Stomy's guestbook,I will read her all of your entrees before she goes off to school tommarrow!
They are having a ice cream party. Yummy!

Friday, March 17, 2006 12:59 AM CST

Happy St.Patrick's Day to everyone.
This will be a lonnng entry so get ya glasses on! ha ha!
Well our morning started off by Stormy wanting to wear her GREEN camaflouge pants her daddy got her. Anyone who knows her daddy should know that he loves camo. I put a bright green hairbow in her hair and her daddy went in our bedroom. He got a book out that belonged to his mother,She's been in heaven now almost seven years. He started to fumble through the pages and found about ten real four leaf clovers. His mother(joanne)had them pressed between pages. He took one and told Stormy they were meant for good luck.He glued in on a dog tag necklace. She wore it to school.I could'nt help but want Joanne there to see it.She was always so proud of her grandkids.
She was a great lady who is missed so much. We lost her all of a sudden and there was not a chance to say goodbye.I know that she's in a far much better place and watching over her grandchildren from heaven. We just miss her.
Stormy's sinus problems are still there.
After severeal bottles of Omnicef (antibiotics)she is still having headaches and comes home feeling really tired on some days.Still coughing and sniffihng that stuff down her throat. We took her back to the doctor and he has scheduled a appointment with a Ear,Nose and Throat specialist. He also put her on another medicine called Singular. So we will wait and see what the ent doctor has to say! She told me she's tired of it and started crying yesterday. She told me "I want to go outside and play and have fun like all the other kids mommy" It made me feel bad but I told her that if I let her outside that she would get even sicker. It's been really hard since up here on the mountain we've had pretty spring like weather.
Last weekend we did go outside and plant some flowers from bulbs. She enjoyed it so much. She loves flowers and she had alot of fun.Untill she found a worm!
She jumped out of the flower bed so fast that I thought she had been stung by somthing. It was cute.
We have some good news for our Stormy Girl!!!!
On the 24th of this month The Children's Wish foundation is going to grant Stormy her wish of a 500.00$ shopping spree at Toys 'R' Us. She does not have a clue yet.She is going to be happy.I will post pictures dont worry.

I'm asking for your prayers for me this time as I have lost my job for standing up for what is right.I worked at a retirment home and saw some things that were not right and threatned to go to the health department for it and was fired! aghhhhhhh.
I know that God will lead me in the right direction.I'm just worried about the bills.Stormy's dad does not work but has filed for dissability because his lung capacity is only 48e had his court date in front of the judge. Our lawyer feels pretty confident that he has won it.So ,we are once again leaning on our heavenly father!

I think I have a job as a clerk at Doller Generel store. A job is a job. I wanted somthing totaly different from what I was doing .All they are waiting on is my background check to come back!

leaning on his everlasting arms,
Tonya

Hello to all of our dear friends.......

Well Stormy is doing good for the most part. The ct scan that she had showed that all of her sinus cavities are blocked. So, the new plan is to have her treated three more weeks with high dose antibiotics and then repeat a cat scan if the ct scan shows that she is ths same then we will have to be reffered to a Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor. Which will probably be the case because she has been on countless antibiotis for weeks now.
She has a upcoming dentist appointment on March 1st.She will be given some valium to help calm her down before getting some small cavities filled. She has only two.Stormy DON'T LIKE THE DENTIST!!!! So Please be thinking of her on this day.Our community is so small that we have to drive 80 long miles to take her to a facility that can give her the valium.
I'll do whatever it takes as long as her teeth remain Pearly white and cavity free.I have problems with my teeth becasue I'm scared of the dentist myself.Silly huh?!
I told her that if she's a big girl that she can go and hold my hand.I will have to break down and get it done and be a good role model. YIKES!
She was a contestant in the Miss Tracy City Elementry pagent. She looked bautifull with her hair all pulled up and her eyes were so sparkley and full of life. Every step she took reminded me of the small steps that she took to beat cancer at it's game.I tried really hard not to cry but as she walked out there in front of the judges .She was so confident. She went out there and even swished her dress at the judges.
I was never so proud.I tried not to cry but tears started falling.
I looked and seen Stormy's teachers wiping thier eyes.Daddy and Aunt and Gramma. So I did not feel bad.Her big brother Chris was up in the blechers just yelling so loud for his sister. So proud of her not caring what the kids in his seventh grade would think of him. When they announced the number seven contestant is Stormy Lott the whole school was yelling so loudly. The older kids mostly becasue they have seen how sick she has been.I looked at this pagent as a way of putting cancer behind us.
She was beautifull..........
My baby girl.

Time for a change

If I could change one thing to make the world a better place ,it would be there not to be any cancer. The three reasons are because I have expierienced being around cancer.I know the sadness of seeing cancer in others, and the hope of living in a world without the dreaded disease.

The first reason why I would choose for thier not to be any caner in the world is because I have expierenced it.My little sister has A.P.M.L..It is a rare type of cancer called Leukemia..My little sister is eight years old and she has been fighting her cancer since she was only four years old . She is in remission now and has been for two years. When her cancer was so bad she went through so much pain. They treat cancer with a medicine called chemotherapy. The side effects make your hair fall out and somtimes your fingernails will, too.Cancer strikes all races.Anyone can get it.Many people die from it every year.

Another reason why is because of St.Jude Children's Research Hospital. It treats kids from all over the world.Cancer strikes babies to teenagersto adults. It is really sad to see a kid who has never been outside. Some kids at St.Jude's are there for years before they finally leave.I made some friends at St.Jude.One kid was Josh Ingledue,he was my best friend. He had a tumor in his leg and had a cancer called Ewing's sarcoma. The doctor's removed the tumor which made one leg shorter than the other. He was always so positive. We laughed alot.

He was doing well and what is really sad is that his mom only came to see him one time in the five years he was there. So his dad took care of him.His brother had to lie to his mom and say he was going to spend the weekend at a freinds house .His friend drove him down to see Josh. Like Josh did'nt have it bad enough ,another tumor was found in his back and he died four months later.

Last but not least,is when I go to St.Jude's and see the young kids that are hooked up to i.v. poles. You thank the Lord for all the things in your life!Seeing a kid on a machine that breathes for them because they are to weak to breathe on thier own.Other kids that are missing limbs because the cancer was to bad.It hurts seeing a kis go through all that pain just to hold on one more day to be with thier family. This makes you think--if I could switch places would I? When you go to St.Jude's you do not only see sadness, you see happiness. When kids come up to you and say,"Hi, will you play with me?" We; it maked you feel all warm inside.I think how much longer does this kid have on Earth. I make every moment count for them. If I could change onte thing in the world it would be for no more cancer in the world. It would be great for these kids with cance too live a full life. Just for them to be normal in everyone's eyes. Most importantly to be able to live cancer FREE!

Chris Lott

14 years old

Hers is the essay I promised you guys! He is such a awesome guy!
Please keep Stormy in your prayers as she is sick and she's suffering from headaches, high fevers, and all the antibiotics she's been placed on is not helping her.We had a ct scan done on Friday afternoon.I will get the results today I hope! Bloodwork showed that her white blood count is up to 16.2 so thier is a infection somewhere we just have to find out where!
Love you all,Pray for you all,
Tonya and Stormy Lott

Thanks for signing her guestbook. If I have not signed your child's in a while forgive me I've just been really busy.
God Bless you all! Post a comment and let Chris know what you think of his essay!

hi again to all of our family and freinds.
Hoping that this entry is finding you all well and in high spirits.
Stormy has recovered well from her surgury. We had to take her back to her pediatrician Friday afternoon. She has a sore throat and is also complaining of back pain. Her doctor put her on Augmentin and also said the back pain could have been from a fever that she was running at the time.
Well, her throat is already feeeling better but,yet she still says her back is hurting her. This has me a little worried .The what if's start running through my mind.I have faith in God .It's just the last time Stormy relpased her only symptom was knee pain that gradually became severe.
She was actually crying some with it tonight when I got in from work tonight.I gave her a back massage and put a small amount of muscle rub on her with a massaging heating pad.Despite all this she still complained it was hurting.
Praying that this is nothing but a mother's nerves!!
I will keep a super close watch on her and if she keeps hurting take her to the Er .I would rather wait for her to see her pediatrtician as he knows her better than a er doctor. Please keep her in her prayers and know that we keep all of you in ours!
Praying that God be with all of you.
Tonya
I have a exciting essay that Chris (Stormy's brother) has wrote. It's titled If I could chang one thing in the world today....... Well his subject is cancer. It's a very moving essay, That showed me how much cancer has really affected him, how loosing his best friend meant to him and how much he HATES CANCER!I will try to put it on in a few days. It's awesome and his reading teacher has entered in a contest to win a 3,000 doller scholership!

hello everyone!

Stormy had her surgury on Friday afternoon around 4:00p.m. At T.C. Thompson's Children's hospital in Chattanooga. Everytime we go to a different hospital it's so different from St.Jude's ! Stormy is use to me being in the room with her when she goes to sleep. In this hospital they give the kids getting day surgury some liquid valium and wait for them to go to sleep. The only problem was Stormy never went to sleep.I tried telling the anesthiologist that she's had some pretty potent stuff and that i doubt if it would work on Stormy. He told me that kids NEVER become immune to sedation medications! Hello~~~~~ she's my kid and I know her better than anyone! So as i suspected Stormy was wide awake going into surgury.Which resulted in her screaming MOMMY! To the top of her lungs. It hurt my heart to hear her! I would have loved to be at the Judes where they know just what to do! To make both mom and child happy!
Everything went smoothley and the infection was succesfully cut out of her neck. So we hope! The doctor has put her on some really strong antibiotics and they are capsules. Stormy cannot take capsules .I will have to call to see if the doctor can call in a prescription for the same kind of antibiotic but in liquid form Monday morning.
She is really sore. As although it was a small insicion it's a deep insicion. They had it packed with gauz. Please pray that no infection will set in and that she will continue to do great and recover just fine. They did a culture of this boil to see what kind it is .Hopefully they will find out and maybe thier is a medicine that will help her to not get anymore!
Praying for all of our St.Jude families .
Sending them hugs, warm wishes. and lotts of love!
God Bless and thanks for checking in on my Stormy Girl!

Hi again this will be a quick entry tonight.
Stormy had a big boil on her neck that had to be lanced open on Tuesday. She is very sore ! We had to take her back to her pediatrician today and because its not draining anymore ahs is beings sent to a surgeon in Chattanooga to see what happens next. I've had to srtess dose her because of her a.c.t.h. disorder. This is a bad infection.Dr.Evans said if it passes into her bloodstream that it could make her very sick,So please Pray, pray, pray for Stormy. I will update when i know more myself.
God Bless,
Tonya and Stormy

Well this Jounal will be long so brace yourselves o.k.
We made it to Memphis at 8:00 o clock on Monday. We all went o bed to get ready for our busy days. Our first day started at 8 a.m..We had to go to assesment and triage to get blood!aghhhhhhhhhhh! Stormy had to get a I.V. and all her yearly labs done. She had to have I.V. beacause she was scheduled for a MRI later that day.
So Ms.Brends searched about 40 minutes looking on Stormy's arms and hand trying to find a good vein. She though she found a good one and of course it did not work,I told her That's it! No more sticking Stormy! If they needed her blood bad enough we were going to have to come up with a different approach to getting it!
So , what ended up happening.Stormy's MRI was cancelled! This made me so mad because It's really hard to get a child scheduled for the MRI at St.Judes! We were told to go to the MRI waiting area and that she would be sedated first ,then she would get a i.v. while she was sleeping. We waited for 2 hours for them to call her name only to find out that anesthia could not work her in! I was so mad.
Here it was 2:30 and she had not eaten nothing all day long. So she got sedated one more time on the 5th to get her bone marrow asperate done and that's when they got her bloodowork and iv.
That was the worst part of our trip.
Here is what the outcome of all the appoinments led to.
Stormy should be around 6 inches taller than what she is.We will go back in a few months for a 3 hour test which envolves a i.v.Depending on the results of that she will most likley need growth injections.
Also Stormy's liver is measuring at a 9 almost a ten.The Endracrin Doctor ,Dr.Danish said this means that she has fatty spots on it and she needs to be put on a srtict diet. This could lead to liver failure if it's not cought and somthing done about it. I'm glad he cought this. Dr.Danish said that this is why her tummy is bigger that the rest of her body.
So no more, starches, sugar, sodas, candy etc,etc,etc....please pray that this transition will be as easy as possible for her as she loves her sweets and bread! We are going to make this a FAMILY thing so she don't feel like she is going at it all alone. We all can bebifit from this!
She weighs 96 pounds. He said it would not be a bad thing if she was as tall as she should be but she's not.Part of the weight can also be to her thyroid disoreder too.

NOW FOR SUPER GOOD NEWS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stormy's bone marrow was clean!!!! This was just based on one test but itm usually right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WhooooooooHooooooooo! We were told that the longer that Stormy stays in remmission that the chances for her to be cancer free forever grows. Praise God! Praise God!

We ran into Dr.Razzouk and he told me something that brough tears to my eyes.....
When your child becomes a St.Jude patient they are registered in a computer under the Medical record number. Then doctors from all over the world can learn how to treat kids based on the protacalls that was used on them.Dr Razzouk told me he got a email form a oncologist in California that said he was able to treat two young girls wiht Stormy's type of Leukemia with the same protocall that was used on Stormy and they are both in remmission and doing great!
Tears welled up in my eyes,I gave Dr.Razzouk a huge hug looked into his eyes and I told him Thank You ! I told him Thank You would never be enough. He told me the only thanks he needed was standing there hugging him looking up at him!

So all of our children are pioneers in some way ,shape,or form!!!!
Thanks

Hello to all our friends and family,
Wishing and hoping that you all had a happy, Merry Christmas. Stormy had a blast. She was so happy that Santa brought her a v tech learning game and two games to go with it, She calls it her gameboy. Ha, Ha,!
She got two dolphin waterfalls and clothes ,bratz dolls and etc, etc, . She had wrapping paper strolled from one side of the room to another. Tape and bows litered the floor. I did'nt care as long as she had a good time. Chris was super excited when he got to open a long present that has been under the tree all month long with a sign that said"fragile do not touch till Christmas"
I'm sure this had him wondering. When he opened it he was sooo happy. You see he got a 20 gage shotgun .He's been wanting one for a looong time so he can go hunting with his dad. Then his birhtday was two days after Christmas, we got him a mountian bike.
Let's just say I'm super broke at the end of December.I'm sure everyone says at leat once"Im glad Christmas is over"!
Philip got me two beautifull rings .I was so happy.
Chris was in the hospital on Christmas Eve with symptoms of headache, tunnel vision, arms and legs twitching and jerking. I was scared! The Er doc did a spinal tap on him thinking that he had Spinal Menigitus. It came back negative and they said that they thought it was just a virus. He is still having headaches though.
I want to let all of you know that we will be heading back to Memphis to the "Judes" on the 2nd of January. We will be staying at the Grizzley House through the 5th.
So we will have a week worths of ,OUCHIES,TESTS,ANESTHISIA,MACHINES,NURSES,DOCTORS!!
I dont thing any of us are really ever Happy to go back as it holds so many bad memories. Not only of Stormy but her and Chris's friends they got close to that are now in Heaven. We are happy to see the staff that took care of Stormy and our family though.
To all our Prayer warriors....... Please pray that all her tests will come out clean as a whistle. That the nurses will be able to get a good vein on the first try as the i.v's are always such a terrible thing for Stormy as her veins are really tiney from chemo shrinking them! They test for many different things. They are doing Stormy's 2nd year in remmision testing. She will be in remmission 2 years on January 26th.Pray that God will carry us each step of this Journey and be with us when we are waiting for all the tests results to come back,
Love,
Tonya!

Hi to all of our caringbridge friends and family!

I wanted to let everyone know that Stormy is continuing to good although she keeps getting colds . She is currently on Augmentin for a cold. It seems her immune system is not up and running as it should be. I will make sure and talk to the St.Jude doctors in January and see about her going to Chattanooga to maybe get a dose I.V.I.G. once a month. It just worries me that she keeps getting cold one after another!

She is doing better in school as they are making things easier for her learning level. She is sitting at her scooby doo desk as I'm typing and cutting and gluing away on her homework, I can tell that she is in a better mood when she comes home .I think that work is much easier and she's able to comprehend what to do! So,Thank God!

In admist of your busy holiday Season please remember Children that continue the fight and freinds of Stormy's that have went to be with Jesus. I'm going to be putting up a list on her home page shortly that will list friends that she has met at St.Judes. I would love for all who visit her site to please stop in and give all the families a encouraging word on thier guestbooks! I just need time to post it as thier are many families that we were close too!

God Bless each and every one of you and remember that Jesus IS the REASON for the SEASON! I hope that you have a great holiday!

STORMY HAS A SMALL COLD,BUT EVEN A SMALL COLD,ISN'T THE SAME WITH STORMY,IT'S ALMOST LIKE IT'S TWO TIMES WORST.
THE DOCTOR PUT HER ON TWO MORE MEDS,AND AN ANTIBIOTIC.
CHRIS IS GOING THROUGH PHYICIAL THERIPY,AND IS WORKING HARD TO BE ABLE TO PLAY FOOTBALL NEXT YEAR,TONYA DOESN'T WANT HIM TO,BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE BAD TO HOLD HIM BACK FROM DOING WHAT HE LOVES.
CHRIS HAS A.D.H.D,AND HASN'T TAKEN HIS MEDICATION SENCE HE STARTED FOOTBALL,THAT'S MIGHT NOT SOUND LIKE A BIG DEAL TO MOST PEOPLE,BUT IT IS TO ME.
TONYA GO'S BACK TO THE DOCTOR ON THE 28TH,TO GET HER FOOT RECHECKED,GOD WILLING IT WILL BE BETTER,I'VE BEEN WORKING FOR HER TILL SHE CAN GO BACK TO WORK.

Hello-

Stormy continues to do well as far as her health is concerned. She will go to her pediatrician next week to get her Flu shot. She does have a small cold and has been acting kind of tired latlet.I'm sure it's just from school and her cold. She picks up EVERYTHING.I'm actually thinking about home schooling her to avoid this problem .It would make me feel bad becuase she would be isolated again!

The testing is back on Stormy from the school district to seee if Stormy meets Eligability requirments.Stormy scored below average on EVERY test and they have told me that she scored in the mildy retarded stage. This is actually what the paper said!
Of course I was in tears.I know that she does have a hard time picking things up ,or comprahending things.I was thinking this was becasue she has not been able to attend School for more than 3 months since her diagnosis. She is now 8!
Of course these are all side effects of the chemo amd radiation. This side effect was listed on every protacall paper that me and her father had signed.
I'm upset about it but SO VERY THANKFULL that she is still here and blessing me with her smiles, kisses, messes, and most of all her love!So We are going to takew it one day at a time and let the school do Everything they can to help her as I will do Efverything I can to help her.I'm sure she will get better with time.
She will start physical therapy for left sided body weakness and also occupational therapy for her fine motor skills. She has a hard time tearing up paper ,holing a pencil for too long, and tying, and buttoning.

I want to share with you guys a funny thing that happened on the way to vissit a friend in the hospital yesterday. We were driving and out of the backseat I hear Stormy say"mom why do cows have price tags?" I looked out my window and noticed alot of cows around a tree eating hay with those big yellow tags on thier ears.Philip and I laughed so hard that we almost cried. So i had to explain to her what the tags were really for.
She thought about it for a minute and then said Oh!
Chris is doing good and is also going to physical therapy for his knee.I'm in a black boot and I'm on crutches for three weeks!
Turns out it was a good thing i got a second opininon. The second doctor I went to said that it's not a piece of dead bone in my leg. It's a piece of bone that is stressed from a previous injury. She is going to try everything she can think of NOT to do surgury!

So please continue to pray for our family!!!!!
WE remember all of our St.Jude families in our prayers and carry you in our hearts.God Bless you guys and I hope you have a VERY HAPPY,THANKFULL THANKSGIVING!!!!!

Hi There!

Well things around the Lott household have been very CRAZY latley! Miss Stormy Lou ( as all her teachers call her) is doing GREAT! She is starting read a little bit here and there.Stormy started getting discouraged because although we would practice her spelling words every day she would not get them right. So, then the teacher lowered them for Stormy form 10 to 5 words each week. She still was having difficulties. So, now her teacher has started somthing new. She only wants Stormy to do the beginning sounds of her spelling words. Which is helping!
We were contacted by the school last week. They have scheduled a appointment for a psych evluation on Stormy before her special education classes will start. This way they will know what her specific needs are and meet them accordingly.
Ms. Parvin (stormy's teacher) thinks that Stormy needs more Occupational Therapy. Stormy needs some help with her motor skills. She has a hard time tearing up paper and holding a pencil or crayon for too long.

So that is the news on Stormy Rane!!

Stormy's brother Chris is not doing too good .He got hurt in football practice. WE found out that he has a ACL tear and a MCL sprain. So the plan is that he cannot play any more football this season. He is VERY VERY VERY upset about this. He LOVED playing football. Well he's looking at some extinsive surgury but not untill he turns 16.The reason is because he still growing at a rapid rate.
If they do the surgury now it could stunt his growth.
Please pray for Chris as they have put him on strong pain pills and he's having a hard time keeping up in school now.

I too am facing surgury on my left foot. It's been hurting me for about 6 months now. I finally got the courage up to go to the ortho doctor and he viewied my x rays and my Mri. Dr Extine came back and told me that I have a piece of dead bone in my leg. Right where my foot meets my shin. So I have to have surgury also.!!!! Which will require me to be off my foot for three months.

So please pray for me as the surgury is set for two weeks.
I'm going to leave it in the lord's hands and let him be in control of EVERYTHING! Thank you all so much for signing Stormy's Guestbook . I have not had much time to sign guestbooks between so many doctor appoinments But know that I'm thinking of all of you guys.

Stormy loved the princesses.

Friday September 16th

Hello to all our great friends and family.
Stormy is doing much better than last week. St.Judes called and told us the results of the cat scan she had . They said tht it showed a svere sinus infection and that they would send her some medicine that she would need to take for about a month. So she recieved a huge bottle of a medicine called Eurothymocin. She has to take it four times a day. As well as drink eight ounces of water each time she takes this medicine. Have you ever tried to get a crnky eight year old to drink that much water at 6:30 a.m.!!!!
Let me tell you IT"S VERY DIFFICULT! We are still awaiting the results from the Endrcrine clinic about Stormy's tests they did. Hopefully by next week we shoould have them. I want to share with you a few things that she has acomplished.
Stormy has been trying to learn how to whistle a loooooooong time. Well ,she comes home from school Wenesday and says "look mom" and lets out a little whistle! I start crying and give her a high five. She asked me why I was crying and I told her because she made me so proud. Then she told me I was silly!
If you have been checking up on Stormy you know that she has been having learning difficulties in school. Well we were told by the teacher that it would take about three months to get Stormy started in special education classes.I prayed relly hard that she would be able to get in sooner than three months because she desperatly needs it. Her teacher hands me some papers yesterday. She said that if I could get Stormy's docotor to fax them about Stormy that she could get her in the classes in about two or three weeks.
I was so happy! So The info that the school needed is already in thier hands now we just wait! Thank you Lord for being a on time God! Please pray that Stormy will benifit from these classes.I'm going to leave her in the Lord's hand as I always have. He will see her through.
Also please pray for the familes that have been devestated by hurricane Katrina. We need to hold them up in prayer!Always keep all the kids at St.Judes in your prayers as well as thier parents, doctors, nurses and research team! God Bless you all and know that we appreciate your prayers so very much! Tonya

Once again we are here in Memphis! Stormy had starteed to cough really bad on the way down here yesterday morning.I figured it was her Sinus infection finally breaking up.Well about 11:30 last night she started feeling really bad.Coughing really hard, FEVER, and feeling like she had to get sick all night.
We have appointments at St.Jude's in a little while and I'm going to see if they will do a x-ray of her chest because I have this feeling it's not her sinuses. She has been sick almost the whole month of August now.
I'm just glad that this time we are at St.Judes where they know all about her.I will update as soon as I get home or if we have to stay a while. Please pray fro Stormy o.k.
God bless!

Friday, August 26, 2005 11:41 PM CDT

Hi to all!

Well Stormy is doing better now.We took her to see her pediatrician. She wanted a x-ray of Stormy's sinuses. We went to the hospital and they took a x-ray.We were called by the doctor the next day and we found out that Stormy has a severe sinus infection. So the plan is to dose her with Augmentin for twenty days and if the sinus infection is not any better than she will have to go see a ear, nose, and throat doctor. Depending on what he says the sinus infection may have to be surgicaly drained!
She seems to be feeling better though so we are hoping and praying that she will not have to take that route! I think the antibiotics are doing thier job~! Stormy is also having alot of learning difficulties and I ask that you please pray for her as she comes home from school feeling very frustrated and discouraged. Pray that she will get better with time and teachers help. Also pray for me as I can't help but feel guilty for signing papers for her to get radiation. One of the side effects was learning disabilities to where as before she was doing really well in school. I know that I had no other option but I still feel guilty. So pray for me!!!! It hurts my heart so to see her feel this way. She has been through so much and I don't ever want her to feel like she CAN'T do somthing! She says to say hello and thank you for all her guestbook entries. She loves hearing from all of you! God Bless you all! Remember to pray for all children who face illness every day and cherish every second you have with your little one!
Love ya!

Hi to all of our amazing friends and faithfull prayer warriors.

Stormy has not been feeling well over the weekend. She has been running fevers of and on and feels like she has to get sick every five minutes.I would think that this is a virus but she has been on antibiotic for ten days. Her pediatirician placed her on Augmentin for a sinus infection that she had.
Bless her heart she if feeling pretty cruddy right now! She wants to go to church this morning but I know we would not even make it out the door before she would get sick. I'm trying to wait untill the morning to take her to go see her doctor.
Stormy did tell me that thier was to kids in her classroom that were sick and that her teacher moved her away from them so she would not get sick.I plan on emailing her teacher to see if thier is a virus going around.
So please just remember her in your prayers this morning!God Bless you all and I wil update as soon as I know anything else.

Monday, August 15th 2005

Well Hello to all!
Things around the Lott household have been very busy.Everyone knows along with school starting comes football practices, and Girl scout sign ups, etc, etc, etc,. Stormy says that she likes her new teacher but that she wants to back in Ms.Whitman's room!!!
She tells me this every day after school.
She was running fever last week of 103.6 and missed the third day of school. So, off to the doctor we went.
Turns out she has a really yucky sinus unfection and a upper respitory infection. I guess from her going swimming in her pool she's wanted for three years.
She's finally able to be in the sun and go swimming and then she gets sick from it,I guess I will have to limit her time to about 3o minutes tops!
She is heading to the dentist today to see about a tooth that's been hurtin her.Daddy is taking her as I have ben up all n ight from working.
Chris has started playing football. He is officaly a Grundy County Jr.Yellow Jacket. He is so excited about it,but so SORE from practice! Of course I will brag how good he does on his first game .It's on the 18th at a festival. So pray for me as it will be hard for me to watch him getting tackled and pushed around. It's our motherly instinct to protect our kids.I think he might be ALOT embarased if I went out on the field and grabbed a few kids by the ears ! ha ha ha ha !
Phil is still going to Physical therapy three times a week to strengthen the muscles in his knee that was dislocated! He comes home sore and hurting so I guess this means it's working!
Stormy makes a return visit to St.Jude's the 1st and 2ne of September.
I am excited about going to visit but it's also bittersweet at the same time.

Please pray for all the kids at St.Judes as they foght for evey breath, pray for the parents as they need thier strength, for the parents who have lost thier prescious ones,For the doctors, nurses, and the researchers! God Bless you all!

Special prayer requests.......... Please pray for Emily Mcellen a child that we met at Ronlad Mcdonald House in Memphis,Tn. She has faced some really tough obsticles in her short life and yet has another to overcome. She will have to have a damaged valve in her heart fixed so t his will mean a major surgury. Please keep Emily and her family on your prayer list! Visit Emily at carinbridge/il/emilymcellen
Thanks!

Sunday,July 31,05

Well I'm so glad to have internet back!!!! I never knew how much I would miss it.The hardest thing was not being able to check in on all of our St.Jude warriors and their great families.
Stormy is doing great. She is so excited to have a yard with lots, and lots of room to run, play, yell, and of course drive her brother crazy!!!! She's already making plans of where to build a tree house! We are so blessed to still have her in our lives and relize every day how close we were to loosing our prescious Baby Girl! We wake every morning praising God for the miracle that he has granted our family.
We always are praying for a cure of this terrible disease. We pray that a cure will be pound and that no other family will EVER be touched my any form of childhood cancer!
School is starting on August 4th.Stormy and Chris are excited that they will be able to meet up with all of thier friends again.Chris is going into 7th and Stormy will be in 1st again. She has not been able to finish a whole school year since 2001.We are praying this is the year!
The move was good although it seemed it took forever to get all of our stuff. You never relize how much stuff you have untill it's time to pack it all up!!!!! I have been feeling so exhausted. Between working six nights a week and moving I was really crabby person to be around!
Stormy's gramma helped us move because Stormy's Dad Philip dislocated his knee and has been in pretty rough shape. He seems to be on the mend just not as fast as he would like.
Please continue to pray for our family!!!!!
WE LOVE YOU ALL !
Tonya and Stormy Lott

Prayer request for a beautifull child! Emily Mcellen is a beautifull girl we met while being at the Ronald Mcdoald House at the beginning of Stormy's Jouney.I read her update and it seems that she is going to need open heart surgury done to repair a valve in her heart. So please let's keep Emily and her family in our prayers. Please visit her at www.caringbridge/il/emilymcellen

Well Sorry it has been awhile since my last update. So many things have happened.
We had Stormys birthday party on June 18th .Thier was plenty of ice cream, and cake, presents, and Bikers!
Yes! About 40 members of S.C.R.C. drove from Georgia,Chattanooga, and Middle Tennesee to come celebrate her birthday with her.
They all arrived on thier bikes honking thier horns and wearing smiles on thier faces.Stormy was in shock! Then she spotted Miss Jean.Stormy took of running and they embraced in a very loving hug! Poor Miss Jean was crying even before she got off the bike! Bless her heart!
Of course they all spoiled her rotten.Thier was teddy bears, brat dolls,Mcdonald's gift certificates,Americian Express checks and her 8 year olds favorite-- Money!
All together they gave her about 140.00$ We have her money put up because we are in the process of moving to a house with a yard! She has been wanting a swing set and that is what the money will go towards.
It will be so nice to move out of a apartment and into a House!!!!
I talked to a man who is also a member of Southern Cruisers Biker Club and he told me that his daughter had passed away froom cancer when she was sixteen. His exact words to me were"This is kind of bittersweet" I hugged him and told him that I knew his daughter would have wanted him there to celebrate Stromy's birthday with her.
Stormy enjoyed every single minute of her special day.Ms.Jean presented Chris with his Southern Crusiers jacket. His Biker name should be no surprise to all that no him --- BUBBA! He had a huge smile on his face.He was very proud!
Stormy and Chris were officialy made a member of the Sotuhern Cruisers Biker Club and are awaiting thier membership to arrive in the mail! I will post pictures of her birthday party on here soon. Thanks for checking in on our girl and God Bless,
With Love,
The Lott Family!

HI EVERYONE DON'T FORGET TO SIGN STORMY"S GUESTBOOK AND OFFER HER A FEW ENCOURAGING WORDS!!!!!

Well We took Stormy to T.C. Thompson's in Chattanooga again. We got "our lucky room", room 10 again! The E.R. doctor that was there came in and I told her about Stormy being really nautious and not being able to hold anything down.
So, she thought that a blood test was in order to make sure that thier was no "dummy cancer cells" in it!To also see if she was dehydrated.I informed the doctor that Stormy is a very hard stick and that the last time we were there it took five tries and none of the i.v.s held!
She said that they could get the blood they need through a finger poke.Philip,Stormy and I were all VERY RELIEVED to hear this!
So the modern day vampire arrived to get some blood from her finger and all went well.As soon as he left the doctor came back in again and said that after talking with another doctor they felt they had to take a more drastic approach!
Which involved a i.v. so that Stormy could recieve fluids. They felt she was dehydrated. The nurse comes in and ties a big blue rubber band around her arm and tells her we are "just looking"! I wish that I had a doller for everytime that we have heard those words.Stormy starts screaming!!!! Who could blame her? She is soooo tired of being tourtured! So, the nurses tried one time and I told them "THAT"S IT" No more pokes!
They acted really upset and left the room in a hurry to inform the doctor. The doctor started to walk in the room looked my way and seen the tears in my eyes and I think that he decided he woulde'nt risk it!
The nurse comes back in a short time later and says that the doctor wants Stormy to take some Zofran so her nausea will go away to have a test done in x-ray. This test was to see if her esophagus had another stricture in it or not. Stormy took the Zofran and was starting to feel better. Off to x-ray we go!
We were waiting in the x ray room and was told that Stormy would have to drink a white, chalky, substance called barium chalk. This did not go well with Stormy. She started crying and saying "I can't mommy". ThenI reminded her of one of her favorite Stories. The Little Engine that Could.
After about 30 minutes of saying "I think I can,I think I can she drank enough to do the test. The test showed her esophagus looked fine. THANK YOU GOD!!!!!
Her blood tests revealed that she was a little dehydrated and that she had NO CANCER CELLS! WE PRAISE YOUR NAME AND THE MIGHTY WORK OF YOUR HANDS!!!!!!!!
Stormy drank a sprite 1 teaspoon at a time every ten minutes. She held it down o.k. We were given a prescription for Zofran and was sent home with the diagnosis being a stomach virus!
I'm happy to say with the help of some Zofran She is starting to feel a little better and ate a little bit of mac and cheese today.WE are praying that she only continues to get better every minute. She has lost a total of five pounds in three and a half weeks!
She is looking forward to her Birthday and helped me a little with her party invitations tonight.Every birthday is a TRUE BLESSING FROM ABOVE!!!! Thank you Lord for always being right beside me when I need you the most.

Hello again to all of our prescious frineds and family!

I come to you all with a heavy heart!
Stormy is still sick! She is not holding any foods down.We have tried soups, broth, crackers. The Brat diet and pedialyte. It seems nothing is staying down. She still has the dreaded "runs" although it seems not as bad.The BIG problem right now is she is very nautious. We have taken her to her pediatrician on Thursady and Friday of last week.
They took blood and said that thier was no cancer found but I just have this awfull feling that will not go away.I have prayed for days now that each morning when she wakes she will be good as new and back to her SPUNKY self! When she wakes she immiadiatly starts feeling sick.
Her doctor seems that it is just a virus but this is the second time in three weeks that she has been this way.
Then the awful cramps she has been having in her stomach.
So she has been this way now for 4 days and no end in sight of the nausea!
She keeps getting frustrated with herself because she has the urge to eat but can't hold it down.So I will l be hoping that when she wakes in the a.m. that she will be feeling better!
Phil and I have decided to take her to T.C. Thompson's in Chattanooga in the morning. We want her to go where some tests can be run and we can find out what is going on with her.
Please pray for us all as we are in FEAR that thier is somthing wrong wiht "our girl".Pray that the nurses will get a good vein and make this hospital visit as hurtless as possible.ray for Stormy as she has said alot today "why is always me" She is so tired of feeling this way and wants to feel better as we have plans ofgoing shoping for the PERFECT pinata for her birthday party!!!!!

Please remember all of our WARRIORS who continue to fight and for all the parents of the children that have earned thier wings.God Bless you all and I will update after the hospital!
Love ya all!

Hi again to all!

Well Stormy seems to be getting better with the staff infection but now thier is a new worry!!!!
She woke up last night throwing up and has "the runs" again!
This has happened alot here latley which is getting concerning. We have taken her to her pediatrician and are waiting results from a stool sample we sent in.
She will have a few days where she is constapated then a few when the dreaded "runs" will come back. Then she feels crappy the next few days.Today she complained once or twice about her arm hurting. So We will probably take her to T.C. Thompson's in Chattanooga again becuase last time the cancer returned it was in the form of bone pain.We never know what to expect !
If nothing else it will just ease our minds to know what her counts are.We just hate for her to get pokes over and over again.
So please continue to keep her in your prayers ! thank you so very much as WE ALL KNOW THIER IS POWER IN PRAYER!!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Hello .........

Well our girl needs some big prayers right now! Stormy has been feeling yucky for a few days now. I'm not sure really what the cause of it was untill on Wenesday morning. Our day started out "very normal". I got Stormy's clothes out for the day and noticed that she was not lifting her left arm up or moving it much at all. So when I helped her take her nighties off I noticed her arm was very red and had fever in it.I then hollered for her dad to come look at it.
We raised her arm up and puss and blood was pouring out of it! It was coming from her underarm.
I stayed calm and put some gauze under her arm and then we rushed her to T.C. Thompson's in Chatanooga.Which is 1 hour away!
Apon arrival Stormy's Dad and I was very nervous, not sure what to expect. She was taken to triage and upon further inspection I noticed that she was also covered with little white blisters. The arm that was infected was really covered in them. She was crying and very scared .She knows the routine all to well by now.The owies and more owies !!!!
We were placed in a exam room and the doctor came in and pushed under her arm and more yucky stuff came out of it.Stormy was screaming in pain. Then the doctor's exact words were "uh-oh".My heart immiedatly felt like it was in my stomach.I started asking " what" "what".
I was told that Stormy had some swollen lympnodes under her arm and that they would need to do a cat scan on her to make sure that thier was no cancer . She stated that she thought that Stormy had a heat bump under her arm that became infected.Which in return has infected her whole body with a staff infection! She called it a "pit"
So after five I.V's, a cat scan,Motrin for pain, swabs of her arm,2 shots of antibiotics ,and a consult with a surgeon we were able to go home!
She was sent home on some strong antibiotics and her arm is still really sore .Her eyes are kinda swollen from the staff infection and she still feels yucky.
BUT HER COUNTS SHOWED NO BLAST CELLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!!
I was so very relieved to hear that news as well as Gramma, Daddy, and brother.I had prayed all the way to the hospital about her counts .God must have heard me!
So please keep "our girl" in your prayers as to get over this with no setbacks!
Thanks for all you do!

Prayer requests.....

Well The St.Jude Softball tounament was a big success! We live in a VERY small community on a mountain top.All together the total was almost 13,000!That is the most yet.We went out to the opening ceramony of the Softball tournament on the 13th.As we were sitting there I kept thinking of all those we have lost and all those that still continue tof fight.I love all our St.Jude Buddies!
I was asked to say a few things about St.Jude's and tell Stormy's story. So I choked back the tears as I talked.I told how much St.Jude had given me which is 2 years and counting with my daughter. How can you ever repay or say thank you enough!?
To my surprise Stormy was crowned Princess of the St.Jude Softball tournament. She got a tierra and a boquet of beautifull flowers and a madallion with a angel on it!She looked so Pretty.Stormy thought she was MISS THING!!!!!
She had a big smile on her face all night .As we were riding home that night she said to me"Mommy I am a princess because I'm a survivor".I told her she was right!
Well, School has ended and the kids had a program and awards ceramony at school.Stormy recieved a award for best overall improvement in her class. She looked like such a big girl walking out to get her reward!
Chris is looking forward to going fishing and spending time just having fun this summer.I think we will send him to Science camp or somthing! He gets bored very easy and we have to find somthing to keep him busy!

We are still waiting to here form the Endrocine clinic about Stormy's test results. She does have a nasty cough and runny nose.I already took her to her pediatrician and he said it is her allergies .So please pray that this will subside soon!

Please continue to pray for Emma Grace as she is still in I.C.U. on a resperator.www.caringbridge/ar/emmagrace

Also please pray for our pastor brother Mike Rigsby .He had surgury on his stomach for stomach cancer and needs all the prayers he can get as well.

I have a neighbor who is also very ill with Lupas at this time. Her name is Sharon. She is a very loving lady and loves Stormy very much. Please keep these people in your prayers as we know that God is in the miracle granting buissness!!!!

Hi again to all~!
Well we are home and we are happy to be at home.Stormy got her pic line taken out of hre arm and had three shots before leaving the b clinic this time.Needless to say she was very upset about getting it all done at once. The pic line was held in her arm by stiches and they had to cut them out!!!!It was very sore!
Then the bandage that they used to cover her arm with turned out to be the kind that she is allergic to .So her skin underneath the bandage was raw and burning .I just hugged her tight and allowed her to cry as it's o.k. to cry. Bless her heart ! i wanted so badly to be on that table going through the pain instead of her.
We will know the results of her thyroid tests in about two weeks. We should get a call form Dr.Danish when the results are in.
So we get home and Stormy goes to school on Monday till about 11:30 a.m.I go and get her and go back to my grammas and wait untill it's time to go get Nathan(her son) from school. As I'm the only one available that time of the day to go get him.
Stormy starts SCREAMING in the back seat.I asked her what's wrong? She said"mommy, my tummy hurts"!
Of course I'm thinking that she has a tummy ache . I Brought her home and gave her 2 tsp of pepto bismol. She laid down and went to sleep. She woke up about 1 hour later still in alot of pain and feeling nautious as well.Beings she was in severe pain I took her to our local emaergency room. The doctor came in and said they would need to draw blood.
I knew they would need to but was dreading it.As with Stormy it's NEVER just one stick! So I infirmed the nurse about Stormy being a hard stick and I told her "you can try one time but if you don't get it the first time than that's it no more"!!!!
So she tried and did not get any blood of course!!!So they ended up giving Stormy a pill called finergin for nausea and to help with the pain. She started getting drowsy and then it was time for x-rays!The doctor said the x rays showed nothing and that she was not gasy or constipated.
So I'm panicking at this time because every time he feels her stomach she starts SCREAMING.
The doctor came in and said that he was going to send her by ambulance to T.C. Thompson's in Chattanooga.Well this must have been the perfect medicine because all of a sudden she had to go to the bathroom. After she had a bowel movement she felt so much better.I never thought I'd be so happy to know that Stormy had pooped!!!!!! LOL!!!!
We told the doctor and he suggessted that they stick her finger and get blood that way to see that her counts were o.k. If she ate and drank somthing and held it down for an hour then we could go home! I called her regular physician today and he says that he wants to see her tommarrow. She will also reciece more immunizations tommarrow as well.So please pray for my baby!!!!!!!!!
WELL WE DID THE ROAD BLOCK FOR ST.JUDE'S AND WE RAISED 3,000 DOLLERS FOR THE HOSPITAL.WE HAVE THE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT ON THE 13TH OF THIS MONTH WERE STORMY WILL BE HONERED IN A VERY SPECIAL WAY.GOD BLESSS YOU GRUNDY COUNTY!!!!!!!!!THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT

PLEASE SIGN THE GUESTBOOK!!!!!!

Hi agin to you all,
Well we are looking forward to going home tommarrow! These few days have been very exhausting to say the least.I know that God has been by our side taking each step of this Journey with us.I can't believe how tired we are after being here only for five days.I really don't understand how we did it fir 11 months straight. With God of Course!!!!
Stormy is o.k. .She is also ready to go home. She misses her snouzer Lucky and worries about him alot.
We finally got to meet the Endrocrine doctor yeaterday .He said that they already have some results of the testing that they did on her at Labohner's.He said that Stormy is going to need to be put on some pills to help her Thyroid. Her thyroid is still working but not very much at all.He had a really good way of explaining things to us where it was easy for us to understand .The most important thing is that he made Stormy laugh alot!!!!Which made her feel really comfortable with him.
The docotr said to imagine a flashlight that took ten batteries to make it light up and work right. He said that Stormy was probably running on about two batteries!!!!
so this is the reason why she's tired alot and at the end of the day is barley pulling herself along. He did say they were going to put her on a pill to help her grow taller. If these don't work Stormy will need the growth shots. So PRAY ,PRAY,PRAY that these pills will work thier magic.
Stormy still has the pic line in her arm as of right now.The doctor had to have orders written in order for it to be pulled out.so hopefully it will come out today. She has been a real trooper so far.
We are fixing to go to Stormy's physcial Therapy appointment.WE ARE GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY TAKE NOTICE OF THE PROMINENT LIMP STORMY HAS WITH HER RIGHT LEG.Her Endrocrine doctor even noticed it yesterday .We think that Stormy may need a brace on her leg to help support herself. She alo trips ALOT!!!!!! So somthing is definatly going on.
We have met a family that has a son that was just diagnosed wiht cancer. The little boy's name is Daniel Mitchell. Please lift this child up in prayer as he has a long road to recovery and his parents are devistated.
Alos continue your prayers for Emma Grance as she is still in i.c.u. and holding her own.Pray that she will have a smooth road ahead and no more major setbacks! Please pray for her parents Barney,Trish, and her brother Eli.
Also remember all the parents who have lost thier children and say a prayer for thier families. We know that thier children are cancer free and in the arms of Jesus but these parents need prayers!!!!
Thanks to you all and remember to sign the guestbook.!!!!!
Love,
Tonya and Stormy

WEL, WE MADE IT TO MEMPHIS AROOUND 7:00P.M. ON SUNDAY EVENING.STORMY WAS RATHER EXCITED ABOUT THE WHOLE THING UNTILL WE PULLED UP AND SHE SEEN THE HOSPITAL.SHE BUSTED INTO TEARS .CRYING HER LITTLE EYES OUT.I ASKED HER WHAT WAS WRONG AND SHE SAID"I DON'T WANT TO BE PUT TO SLEEP AND POKED ON AGAIN"
I FOUGHT BACK MY TEARS AND TOLD HER THAT THINGS WOULD BE FINE .MOMMY AND DADDY ARE HERE FOR YOU .SHE SMILED REALLY BIG AND SAID"I LOVE YOU"
SO HER APPOINTMENTS STARTED OUT TODAY WITH A X-RAY.THEN I WAS INFORMED THAT THE PROCEDURE SHE NEEDED DONE TOOK PLACE IN THE X-RAY ROOM.THE ANASTISIOLOGIST CAME IN AND TOLD ME THAT SHE WOULD BE HAVING GAS TO GO TO SLEEP WITH INSTEAD OF PROPAVAL.(THIS IS THE GOOFY MEDICINE THAT STORMY LOVES).I KNEW RIGHT AWAY THAT THIS WOULD NOT GO OVER WELL WITH STORMY.
SHE IS USED TO GOING TO SLEEP IN A PLACE THEY CALL THE PROCEDURE ROOM AND SHE WAITS FOR THE "MILKMAN" AS SHE CALLS HIM.THIS IS WHAT SHE CALLS THE DOC WHO BRINGS THE PROPAVAL.PROPAVAL IS WHITE AND IT LOOKS LIKE MILK.SHE IS USE TO THE FACES IN THE PROCEDURE ROOM .
SO WHEN I TOLD HER THAT SHE WOULD BE GOING TO SLEEP IN THE X-RAY ROOM SHE WAS BEYOND COMFORITNG.SO SHE CRIED THE WHOLE TIME THEY WERE GETTING CONSENTS SIGNED AND SETTING UP THE ROOM FOR THE PIC LINE PLACMENT.
THEY THEN LAYED HER ON A TABLE AND ATTEMPTED TO PUT A BUBBLE GUM SCENTED MASK OVER HER MOUTH AND NOSE.SHE WAS SCARED !!!!!!
THE WHOLE TIME THE MASK WAS ON THERE SHE KEPT SAYING "I CAN'T BREATH" I STARTED CRYING BECAUSE IT SCARED ME ALSO.iT'S HARD TO SEE THIS EVEN IF YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN SEDATED ALOT.I HAVE NEVER SEEN HER BE PUT TO SLEEP WITH GAS BEFORE AND HOPEFULLY WILL NEVER HAVE TO SEE IT AGAIN.
SHE FINALLY FELL ASLEEP AND THE LINE PLACMENT TOOK ABOUT 1 HOUR AND IT IS PLACED IN HER RIGHT ARM.SO, THE NEXT STEP IS TO GO TO lABOHNER CHILDREN'S MEDICAL CENTER TOMMARROW AND BE ADMITTED FOR THIS 20 HOUR LONG TEST.
THEN THIS LINE CAN COME OUT AND I CAN BREATH A SIGH OF RELIEF .I'M SO SCARED IT'S GONNA GET PULLED OUT ON ACCIDENT .SHE IS UPSTAIS RESTING COMFORTABLY IN THE ARMS OF DADDY.SHE HAS HAD A TERRIBLE HEADACHE AND IS VERY NAUTIOUS SINCE GETTING GASED.
PLEASE PRAY FOR MY LITTLE GAL AS SHE WILL BE FILLING PRETTY JUNKY THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU .THANKS FOR SIGNING THE GUESTBOOK AND PLEASE CONTINUE TO STORM THE GATES OF HEVEAN FOR PRAYERS FOR ALL THE LITTLE WARRIORS HERE ST.JUDE'S
lOVE,
THE LOTT FAMILY

Wednesday, April 20, 2005 3:45 PM CDT

Hi again to all of our prescious friends and family.

I know it's been a while since I last updated.Things have been pretty hectic in the Lott household to say the least.I'm sure everyone thinks that we are in Memphis. We WERE suppose to be there for the Endrocine testing.
My great grandmother got really sick vey fast and I have been by her bedside taking care of her every need.We had to cancel Stormy's appointment untill May2,05.
Gramma has plenty of family but very few that will do for her when she needs it.It makes me so mad somtimes becuase I feel that Gramma's should be treated like a treasured Jewel. So please remember my gramma Flora Sanders in your prayers for the next few days.Pray tha God will heal her according to his will. Also Pray for me because I feel like I'm being pulled in a million different directions.
I was kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place but I was asssured by the doc's at St.Judes waiting a few more weeks to do this testing is not going to danger her health in any way.
So we will now wait untill May 2 through the 6th.We will be there for 4 days.
Stormy is doing o.k. Her alergies have been really bad though. This is the time of the year that makes everyone's alergies go crazy. She is still battling the Exzema. It makes her miserable at times. So if anyone knows of anything that helps please email me and let me know!

Stormy is going to help me raise money in our area for St.Jude's.Thier will be a softball tournament.Every year they raise around 10,000 dollers.Every little bit helps. This is somthing that we are really looking forward to.To be able to spread the word about a very important thing.A CURE!!!
Without research thier is no cure.Without God thier is no Hope!
I will probably also talk to a large crowd about Stormy's story and while I do this I'll be thinking of those that we have lost ,those that continue to fight, and those that are now in remmission.
Chirs is also very excited to help in any way possible. He isb going to be the kid going to get the balls that are declared a home run! As we know thier will be plenty of homeruns hit.So pray that this years St.Jude Softball Tounament will be a HUGE sucesss.
God bless you all and thanks for checking in our girl.

Prayers for Emma GRace are still needed at this time. Please keep this beautifull little girl and her family in your prayers. She is still in i.c.u. but holding hre own.She is a little fighter for sure.Go Emma go!
You can visit her by going to www.caringbridge/ar/emmagrace

God bless each and every one of you and hope you have been enjoying the great weather we've had.Happy Spring! Also if you are visting for the first time please sign the guestbook Stormy hads a map in her room .Everywhere we know people are praying for her we put up a star.So Sign the guestbook!

I want to share with you all a poem that I came across on another caringbridge page.I read it and my eyes were full of tears. It really moved me and I hope all the rest of the mothers with a sick child or a child with cancer will read it and find the pleasure it it's words as I did. THE CHOSEN MOTHERS BY EMMA BOMBECK

Most woman become a mother by accident, some by choice and a few by habit.Did you ever wonder how mother's of children with life threatning illnesses are chosen?
Somehow ,I visualize God hovering over Earth selecting his intruments for progagation with great care and diliberation. As he observes,he instructs his angels to make notes in a giant ledger.....
"Armstrong,Beth, son patron saint Mathew ,Forest,Marjorie, daughter patron Saint Cecilia,Rutledge,Carrie, twins, patron saint Greard."

Finally, He passes a name to an angel and says"Give her a child with cancer." The angel is curious "Why this one,God? "She's so happy."
"Exactly", smiles God,Could I give a child with cancer a mother who does not know laughter? "That would be cruel"
"But does she have patience?"asks the angel.
"I don't want her to have too much patience or she will drown in a sea of self pity and despair.Once the shock and resentment wears off she will handle it."
"I watched her today,"said God."She has that feeling of self-independence that is so rare and necessary in a mother."You see,the child I'm going to give her has it's own world."She has to make it live in her world and that's not going to be easy."
"But Lord,I don't think she believies in you,"said the angel."No matter,I can fix that. This one is perfect. She has just enough selfishness."
The Angel Gasps."Selfishness? Is that a virtue?
God Nods "If she can't seperate herself from the child occasionaly She'll never survive.Yes,here is a woman I will bless with a child less than perfect. She dose'nt realize it yet,but she is to be envied. She will never take anything her child does for granted. She will never consider a single step ordinary.I will premit her to see clearly the things I see.....ignorance,cruelty,prejudice,....and allow her to rise above them.
"What about her partron saint?"asks the Angel, His pen poised in mid air God smiles and says...."A mirror will be suffice."
Please pray for a special friend of our St.Jude Family. She is in I.C.U. on a ventilator, with pnemomnia in both her lungs. Please pray that goe will take this away from Emma Grace. She is a bright eyed child with a heart as big as Texas. Her caringbridge address is www.caringbridge/ar/emmagrace
WE all know who is in CHARGE!!!! God Bless each and every one of you.Your prayers for us,for friends, and for family will mean so much to us!

remember to sign Stormy's guestbook!

Well today has proved to be very emotinal!I sit and think about what Tyler's family must be going through at this very moment.I can't begin to imagine!Let's continue to hold Tyler's family up in prayer. As they have alot of challenging days ahead!God Bless the Doughtie Family!

I finally got the results of Stormy's testing that was done on her Thyroid and prateratory gland.
It shows what we have believed all along.Stormy is going to need replacment therapy. The two things that they have found that are not normal are her Thyroid and her Cortizole levels.A normal level is around 60.Stormy's level is 15 and 17.Yes, this is extreamly low!So they doctors at the endrician clinic wants to order one more test to make absoultly positive that she is going to need replacment drugs. We will be traveling to St.Judes on Wenesday.Apon arrival we will be seeing the line nurse. The doc's are wanting Stormy to get a pic line. This is a needle that is inserted into her artery instead of her vein. The reason being is because she is a hard stick. They will need to draw blood severeal times in a 24 hour period for this test. She will be admitted into Labonher Children's Medical Center in Memphis. This is the hospital that they do all the testing for this at.Stormy will recieve medicines there. One medicine has the chance to make her very nausiated.I was told she would be very sick for a couple of hours! So they feel the best way to do this is through a pic line.
She will get some medicine to help relax her but not put her fully to sleep.I dread this so bad.I was in tears earlier because I know that this is not going to be a positive expierience for her. After the results are in Stormy will be placed on two medications one is called Metyrapone and the other is called Cortizone. This will help her levels get to where thay need to be.
I was also informed that I will have to carry shots with me everywhere I go for now on.If Stormy blacks out or becomes unconscious at any time she will have to recieve an injection. If she becomes very ill to where all she wants to do is lay in the bed and not do anyhting she will have to get a injection.Even a sore throat she will have to get a injection. This has somthing to do with her blood pressure. All this is very new to me and was thrown at me in the matter of minutes. So As find out more about this I will let you know!
Please pray for us at this time.We are so very thakfull for God's healing of Stormy. Now she is reaping the side effecs of all her chemo and radiation.I told Chris about his sister today and he was very upset. He kept saying"why does this have to happen to her"I explained to him that it could be much worse and that we need to be thankfull that this is all that's going on with her.He just needs some extra prayers right now.Chris is tired of so much death! His best Friend Josh passed a few months ago and Chris still thinks of it evey day.He is a great kid with a huge heart that loves everyone!
God bless you all and I hope that you can understand what I've told you about Stormy. It's still all a jumble in my mind!God bless and you are all in our prayers!

Although they will have peace in knowing that Tyler is with our Heavenly Father the days ahead will be most challenging! Fly Tyler Fly! www.caringbridge/tn/ptyler

I would like to stress that unless we fund the research this disease will continue to take children in thier dawn of life. Please,Please,Please Donate! We need a cure! Imagine looking into the eyes of your child and know that thier is nothing you can do to save them!Sorry to be so graffic. It is the truth.
Please pray for our family as well. This is always hard news to swallow.I think that thier are about five children left that we were real close to during Stormy's Fight. This is a sobbering number beings when we started this Journey we would run into Stormy's friends everywhere!Cancer is a thief ! A thief of life!

Hi agajn to all our dear friends and family
Things have been pretty hectic around the Lott House to say the least!Stormy flew to St.Judes wiht her daddy this time.Stormy had to get up at 4:o clock in the morning which did not please her very much.
They arrived at St. Judes and immeadiatly things got bad!First appointment was assesment and triage. The nurses could not find a vein. So, they poked her a total of ten times trying to find a "good vein"as they called it.Stormy was a very brave little girl but started to feel like she was being tortured. When she called me she told me that the doctors were "torturefying her".When my seven year old told me that I wanted to bust into tears but held my composure untill we hung up from each other. She knows that getting her blood drawn is very important and that it is a test that HAS to be done.
She hung in there like a trooper and got the job done. So,Off to the b-Clinic to see her doctor. For those of you who do not know .The b-clinic is for bone marrow or stem cell transplant children only.St.Judes has severeal clinics for different types of cancer .Stormy's doctor was out of town so she saw a nurse practicioner.Miss Angie .She is the greatest! She said that Stormy's Blood results looked good and most importantly thier was NO CANCER! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Praise God,Praise God,Praise God!!!!!!
These are the best words a parent can hear!We are still awaiting the results from her thyroid testing and then we will know where to go with the thyroid replacment and the growth shots. Please keep lifting our name up in your prayers. We are forever greatfull!
Today Stormy was singing along with one of her favorite cd's.It's called Songs of Praise. As she was singing she had her arms stretched up in the air towards our Heavenly Father .She had her eyes closed and was deeply feeling every word she was singing. It was overwhelming as a mother to see!She knows what the lord has done for her and praises his name for it.I wanted to share somthing with you..........
While I was waiting for Stormy to get home from her trip I was thinking to myself,She is going to be in such a bad mood!Who woulden't be after getting stuck a total of fifteen times? She also recieved five of her baby shots.Since she has a new immune system she had to get a whole new set of baby shots. So they started her off with five.OUCH!
To my surprise she came running through the door with a HUGE SMILE on her face. She ran to me and said"I'm so glad to be home mommy" No matter what she has been through in her short life she has come through it wearing a smile.Through her chemo, radiation.her hair falling out three times and all the painfull procedures she continued to smile!
I feel like her good attitude is what helped her to overcome these things. So,No matter what life throws at you wear a smile.Gain strength through your smiles.God bless you all!

Special Prayer Request~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please pray for a very brave child. His name is Tyler Doughtie. He lives in Tennesssee as well. He's a patient at St.Jude's.Tyler was sent home not to long ago with the news that the doctors have done all that they can do for him.He is suffering frome daily seizures and periods of confusion. We all know that the doctors do not have the final answer and that God is in the MIRACLE GRANTING BUISSNESS!So,Please let's lift this beautifull family up in prayer. You can drop by his website and offer a few encouraging words.www.caringbridge/tn/ptyler
God bless!

Good day to all!
Well things have been going really slow around the Lott house this week.Stormy has gone to school three times this week but I let her stay home again today because her exzema is making her miserable.I have called her pediatrician. He's going to call somthing in stronger to help her.As well as recommend a dermatalogist for her.She may have to have light therapy again. It seems to be good on days that we don't have the heater on and then when it has to be turned on she itches all night!!
She is laying the couch right now watching Tom and Jerry. One of her favorite cartoons!I gave her half a dose of Benedryl and don't want her to fall so I told her to lay down.Stormy hates being still but for her saftey I had to explain to her WHY she has to lay down.
Before taking the Benedryl she took all her other meds and we had a official DEATH to CYCLOSPORIN PARTY.It's a yucky medicine that the Doc's put her own to ease her Graft Verses Host Disease.A side effect from stem cell transplant. It's a really thick and yucky liquid she has been on for over a year now.
All week we have been tapering down the dose as directed by Dr.Usef.(Her transplant doctor). She had her official last dose at 9:00A.m. this morning. So when I told her she dide'nt have to take it anymore she started dancing around the kitchen and so did I!She raised up the trash can lid and said "death to cyclosporin" and slammed the lid down REALLY hard!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I know that it makes her feel good to know that's one less she will have to take! It makes me feel better because it is one less I will have to give LOL!!!!
I wanted to share with you a poem that I wrote shortley after Stormy relapsed for the third time! It's called OBSTICLES.

OBSTICLES
I NEVER THOUGHT IN A MILLION YEARS
I'D BE WHERE I AM TODAY
LIFE HAS THROWN ME AN OBSTICLE
THAT'S GOTTEN IN THE WAY
THIS OBSTICLE IS CALLED CANCER
A THIEF IN THE NIGHT
ALWAYS WAITING FOR FOR YOU
TO GIVE UP THE FIGHT
IT STEALS YOUR DREAMS AND HOPES
LEAVING YOU WITH ONE QUESTION
HOW DO I COPE?
WITH THE FEELING OF BEING LOST
THE ANSWER IS BEING CURED
NO MATTER WHAT THE COST
NEVER GIVE IN TO THE FIGHT
GIVE IT YOUR ALL WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT
YOU WILL SEE THAT IN THE END
IT IS JESUS THAT IS YOUR FRIEND
NEVER LETTING YOU DOWN
HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN AROUND.
TONYA LOTT APRIL 29,2004

I shared this with another caringbridge family and wanted to share it with all of you.God bless all of our dear friends and family.Let me know how you like the new pictures and music that's on Stormy's site!

Hello from the Mountains of Tennessee!
Well we are hoping that you all are staying well with all this Y-u-c-k-y- FLu going around.I too, had it and was put on three medicInes .Well despite being really tired latley Stormy is doing o.k.I'll be glad when we get the results back about her thyroid! She goes back to Memphis on the 4th of March! Her dad(Philip) will be taking her.
We will get all the results then.I will Miss going with her.I always do.I just have a hard time letting go of her no matter who she is with.
Her itchy excema is acting up and really making her miserable. She itched all night for two days in a row.Even with her Elidel and Benedryl. So I got her some new lotion today with Menthol in it and she is now resting peacfully.

Well it has been a very trying week!On Tuesday we had to say goodbye to a great grandfather .Then we found out that his brother is in i.c.u. on a ventilator in Murfressboro V.A. hospital.Alot of the family has said his heart is broken. He is in stable condition and the plan is for the ventilator to breath for him and let his lungs get well again.
Stormy handled saying goodbye to Grampa Ira o.k. They played "Go rest high on that Mountain" then it hit her that he was gone. She cried and then she was fine.I have had a trying week.
As you all know Stormy started school on Monday!I THOUGHT that I would be able to march rgiht up to the school and be a ADULT about it.BOY,WAS I WRONG!!!I was crying before I even made it to Ms.Whitman's room.I just started having all of these fears. One was she can't carry her lungh tray by herself another was what if she has to go to the bathroom between bathroom breaks?
Ms Whitman walked out of her room and said "How are you mom"? Of course I broke down. After being with her for two and a half years constantly taking care of her every need it was soooo very hard to hand her over.Although I was happy that she was getting to go back to school and be around children again it scared me to death to turn her over!
I was so worried about her I had a anxiety attack on the way home! I felt like I could not breath and was lost without her all day!I was so happy when I seen her at the end of the school day. When I dropped her off that morning a little boy about five looked at me and said"why are you crying"?That made me feel so silly!ha ha ha
She's going only from 7:45 to 11:30 right now to get her back in the swing of things!
The flu is still goin around really bad and I opted to keep her home today .I promise it is because of the flu going around .Not for my own selfish reasons. She goes back to St.Judes on March the 4th.Then we will find the results of all the thyroid testing and some other tests that were done on her.
On a sadder note ~~~ Another St.Jude Child has earned his angel wings. His name ~Stanton Haynes .His famimly can really use some encouraging words right now. Here is his caringbridge site. Please stop by www.caringbridge/la/stanton
once again I will say Donate to St.Jude's it is the only way that a CURE will be found.Let's stop this from happening over and over agian!
You all are in my prayers and remeber to sign the guestbook so Stormy will know who is checking in on her!

Monday Feb 7,2005

Hi again! GREAT NEWS GREAT NEWS GREAT NEWS!
All of Stormy'slood results and her bone marrow are free from cancer!!!YAAAA!For this I'm forever greatfull. She has alos been given the go ahead to go back to school. Her first day will be on Monday! I'll probably cry my eyes out on Monday. They are going to have a Valentine's DAy party on this day also so she is really excited about it all.The yucky news is school has been let out for Thursday and Friday because of the flu.Thier are alot of kids out with it right now!!So for the time being is't cancelled.Chris is happy about it .What teenager would not be!
So Her wonderfull teacher has already been informed about jerms and Chicken pox.I'm going to see about her teacher sending home a letter to the parents in her class about the importance of colds, and chicken pox and fevers staying away from our girl!Just to let them know what is going on!
We will know the results form all the other tests in a few weeks. The tests on her tyroid .It was confirmed that she has some density in her bones so she will be placed on some calcium. She was ordered to drink lots and lots of milk.
So for now we will watch her eyes and her pain in her joints because of this diseasse that is in the bones not the muscles .It causes the bones to break down. She has the starting symptoms of it but with therapy should do good.
.
On a sadder note I recieved an emergency phone call from my mom right before we left St.Jude's.My Grampa Ira was in the hospital and was in his final hours. So we rushe as fast as we could to get home .The town he was in was 50 miles on the other side of where we lived.I made it there to late!WE know that he's in a pain free place and that he is now at peace.I was glad that I was able to be there for my gramma though. She is taking the news really hard!
Sp please pray for the family as we will have challenging days ahead.Heaven has gained a great man!
God bless and you all are in our prayers.

Hi to all out friends and family,
Well Yesterday was very exhausting to say the least! We had appoinments from 8:00 a.m and did not return to the Memphis Grizzlies House untill almost 7:00p.m.The worst thing was having to hold my baby while she was getting yet another stick.
Not only did they have to fnd a "good" vein but they also had to find one that would give them 60 cc's of blood. So the got one in the oddest place but it worked and they got all the blood needed for her tests. So, she got her MRI yesterday and was sadated for it.She was so scared when they gave her the sleepy medicines. She was falling asleep telling me "mom, why is everything so scary looking"? It broke mt heart!I was in tears as I walked out of the room and was shaking all over.I hate putting my girl through this.
The MRI was done on her legs and hips.We don't know the results yet.We have a appoinment later on today with the bone marow transplant team.Trust me I have no fingernails left. They have all been chewed off!Stormy is down staris in the B clinic area waaiting area making Valentine's day cards.
She has been real good but at the age of seven she to knows somthing is not right at St.Jude's!!!!
WE were walking to the cafeteris and she told her daddy"Daddy all of my friends are not here anymore"Then she started to cry.She seen a picture of her friend Zoie and Josh on the walls and was sad the rest of the day. Please pray for her little mind to rest in knowing that they are now whole again.I know it must be sooooo hard on her. These chldren we seen everyday for a long time.Pray all the tests come back clean!God Bless You ALL!!!

Well as of Earlier today we took Stormy to T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital in Chatanooga and her blood work came back clean. So I'm so Happy to say that.I'm still rather worried about her .I just have this uneasy feeling I can't shake.
She is still active and being her "Normal" self.Maybe it is because of this head cold that she has. This is the first time that she has been sick since her stem cell transplant.
She is sitting at the kitchen table taking her nightly medicines before bedtime. She asked her daddy to tuck her into bed tonight! My feeling's are hurt.I will have to sneak in later and make sure he done it right! Ha Ha!
Sormy's Dad and I are still having problems but I'm praying really hard that they can be resolved.
I have learned through out her journey that THIER IS POWER IN PRAYER!
I have a special prayer request tongiht-
My uncle Aury is going to have a port placed under the skin tomarrow so he can start recieving his Chemo weekly. Please pray that god will comfort him !Please pray that the chemo will not totally wipe him out!He recieved his first dose last Wensday and it really made him feel YUCKY!
He is having a hard time to adjusting to so many health problems.God bless you all and thanks so much for checking in on Stormy.

January 24,2005

Well today has been scary, eventfull all in one.First When I gave Stormy her bath tongiht before bed I notices she has two bruises on her legs. They are dark bruises. This is usually NOT a
good sign. This is a sign that she might need platlets! If she need platlets this could mean the cancer has returned.
I'm trying to stay positive and not jump to any cocnlusions. She still has LOTS of energy and has a GREAT appitite. I have called ST.Judes and they suggested that I just keep a close eye on her .I also took het to her pediatrician today because she has a nasty head cold.He did not seem to worried about the bruises eithier. He put her on some much needed antibiotics!
I guess I'm just worried because of the color of the bruises! Please pray that all will be o.k. and turn out good.
I just keep repeating this verse over and over in my head
Mathew 6:34
Don't worry about tomorrow God will take care of tomorrow Take it one day at a time. Please pray for the family and that Stormy will get over her head cold soon.
Also say some extra prayers for Stormy's dad and I as we are going through a tuff time right now and the bid D word has been mentioned by her dad to me.
Thanks for all you guys do!
Forever in our prayers!

Hello.....
Well Stormy and Big brother Chris are in this weeks Grundy County paper. We took them by the newspaper last week to let everyone know in our community how she is doing. We have had sooo much support form our community it would not be possible to go around to each and every person and thank them individualy! We decided the newpaper would be the best bet.
So it has a picture of her and her brother and it says that she spent her first holidays home in over two years and that we thank the community and wish their children good health and thier families lots of blessings for the New Year.

I LOVE YOU GRUNDY AND MARION COUNTIES!THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR PARAYERS THEY MEAN SO MUCH TO US!

Please keep your prayers coming and remember to pray for all our St.Jude friends that still battle every day.

On a sadder note .....
A brave worrior named Josh Engledue quietly passed on January 6th.He was 13 years old and was so full of life.We were really close to this special man .My son Chris is taking the news very hard as well as my husband. While in Memphis Chris, Philip, Dave, and Josh would take fishing trips and just getr away from the Hospital and they became very close. Please pray for the Engledue family as well as ours .We love You JOSH!!!!

Hi again to all of our dear firends and families.

Stormy is doing good and is in high spirits. She is full of energy and a ball of laughter. This mornig she was upset because she spilt her bug juice all over her shirt.I was already half way to school and she wanted me to turn around and go home and get her another shirt. She finally quit griping.
I love her soo much and even being away from her for just a few hours a day is torture!Stormy don't like it eithier. She says that daddy don't spoil her like I do.I'm trying really hard to stay focused on school and applying for a pell grant.

She is still having headaches and gets tired very easy! This concerns me .I will talk to doc's when we go back to St.Judes and see if she will need to get Physical Therapy at home.I think it would really help her.Her Headaches seem to come when she's beeen up for a while. Then she will go to sleep and feel beter when she wakes up.

She is having a tough time climbing the stais to our apartment.I know it's good for her muscles to keep climbing
them.I hope that she will get stronger .

Special prayer requests-For our family as we are having a hard time making ends meet.We have to keep robbing Peter to pay Paul!

Also for the family of Josh Engldue-He is on hospice and is still fighting with all of his might.Josh called Phil the other night and told Phil that he loved him and misses him and that he wished that Phil could be with him. Please pray that he will continue to not be in alot of pain .Also pray for his dad(Dave)at this time.

For the family of AArond Hunter .He passed on the 10th of December. His family could use some extra prayers at this time.

My Uncle Aury-He has Lung cancer and can not be treared because of an anurism that was close to his heart. Please pray that his pain will decrease and that he will start to feel better. He has been in bed for a week now.
ALSO SIGN THE GUESTBOOK! STORMY LOVES FOR ME TO READ ALL THE GUESTBOOK ENTREES TO HER.EVEN IF YOU ARE VISITING FOR THE FIRST TIME.WE LOVE YOU GUYS GOD BLESS!!!!

Hi again to all of our dear friends and family.
We hope that your New Year was great.Ours was really good.We went to Stormy's great Grammas and ate her traditonal black eyed peas"or as Stormy calls them black eyes and peas."Potatoes and cabbage and homemade cornbread.
So we ate and spent time with our family. It has been so nice being home.
Stormy will be going back to Memphis on Jan 31st.We will be there for about 1 week. She will have to have all kinds of tests done because she is coming up on her 1 year stem cell transplant! She will have a bone marrow asperation done and they will look to see if they see anything.
She is doing so good.I know they won't find anything.I really feel in my heart that god has helead Stormy from this horrible beast.
She has come a long way.Alot of our friends and family do not understand because they did not see her at her very worst.I thank god for her every day and I'm thankfull when she runs me ragged!
I lay by her at night and just watch her sleeping, breathing and I'm soooooo glad she is still here with us today.I get a smile on my face everytime I brush her hair and when I see her trying to comb it.
Knowing so many children that passed and went to be wiht Jesus has taught me to be thankfull for every second you have with your child. We will continue to pray for these children and thier families daily in hopes that time will ease thier pain some.God bless you guys you know who you are.We love you!

Special prayer requests:
My uncle Aury-He found out he has lung cancer and has decided against chemo because of an anurism that was found close to his heart.PLease pray that his pain will ease some and that he will feel the comfort of our lord.

A very special St.Jude friend-Josh Engledue -He has been put on hospice. We are very sad by this news .WE are VERY close to Josh.He is keeping a positive attitude despite knowing what he knows. Please pray that his pain will ease and for his family at this time.

Another St.Jude Friend -Jarid Hall He found out last week that thier is nothing else the doctors can do for him. This child is very special.I just seen him when we were in Memphis on the 28th and he came up to me as always and gave me a big hug and told me to tell Chris Hi .Please pray to the one that we know can heal Jared and take this nasty beast away.

Please continue to pray for the family of My favorite super hero AARON HUNTER!His mom is looking for a job and is trying to find a house of thier own.Pray that god will support her in these areas and that she will continue to have lots of support.

God bless and take care! We love you guys

Thursday, December 30, 2004 0:11 AM CST

God bless all of our friends and families.
Stormy and I headed out to Chatanooga airport and arrived in Memphis safley.Although our travles were not without complications!Stormy wanted to take her two favorite dolls she got for Christmas although we were only going to be in Memphis for one day.So, I let her.She ended up leaving her precious baby Annabelle on the airplane. So we had to go all the way back through security and fight all the people to go get her babies.By the time we made it back downstairs where the shuttle driver waits for St.Jude Families he had left.
So we arrived an hour late for appointments.Everyone was so excited to see her.She was greeted by tons of hugs and many warm smiles as always. So our first stop was going to assesment triage. She got weighed and got her temp and blood pressure taken. All was well,Since Stormy had to have a I.V. put in they waited to do that in the med room so she could get her I.V.I.G.(A medicine that gives her body a boost to fight of infections)
So to the medicine room we went. They tried to get a I.V. started in her foot but did not susceed.Stormy has very tiny veins and they are hard to find. They looked in her arms and hands and still found nothing.
So we went to clinic to talk to her doctor.Dr.Usef came in and asked Stormy what she wanted him to do.She told him "play with me"!I though that was so sweet. Here I was worried about how many times she was going to get stuck and she wanted Dr.Usef to play with her.So what he told her was that He would try to get an I.V.He told Stormy I'm good!I will try only once and if I don't get nothing I will not try anymore. She let him try and he got just enough blood to get blood work done.About four cc's.
The he took out the needle and said that he did not think that she needed I.V.I.G. every two weeks anymore. He said she can get it only once a month and be fine. Her official one year transplant date is Jan 31st.So on that day she will go back to St.Judes and get a bone marrow asperation done.We will be in Memphis for about 5 days getting all her yearly tests and exams done.So pray that all goes well with that.Dr.Usef said that he cannot believe how good she is doing and that it's a miracle that she is still here.
Based on all of her testing she will probably get to come off alot of her medicines also.
Continue to pray that all willl be well and nothing bad will be found with any of the testing.Thank god for healing Stormy and ridding her of this terrrible disease.
Also pray for all of our St.Jude friends and that they will have peace and know that Jesus loves them.Pray they will hold on to thier faith.

Special prayer requests---the family of Josh Engledue.Josh is on hospice and fighting with all of his might to hang on but things are not looking too good.

The family of AArond Hunter.AArond passsed on Dec 10th and his family can use some extra prayers right now.

All of our St.Jude family that have lost a child this year!Pray for them that the New year will gice them comfort and peace.
God bless you all!
Sign the guestbook so we know you were here.Stormy likes hearing from you all.

Wow!We had a great Christmas and spent quality time with family and friends.Storym and Chris woke up on Christmas morning and found TONS of presents under the tree.I guess they must have been good after all!
So after picking up the gobs, and gobs of wrapping paper We left and went to Grandma Ada's .She was so happy that she could spend The holiday with Stormy and Chris. All of her other grandchildren are spread from south Carolina to California. So she was Thankful. Then we all loaded up and went to Great Gramma's.Gramma Flo's.We were handed our presents and said blessing and enjoyed a great Christmas dinner.
Surronded by our Family and friends.I could not help but get everyone's attention and tell them how much THIS holiday meant to our Family.Tears began to fall from all of our eyes as I told them of how close we have come to loosing Stormy in the past years.WQe have seen her sooooo sick and to see her in a pretty red dress running around fighting eith her cousins really warms my heart.
It seems I can cry at the drop of a dime these days. Not because I'm sad but because I'm Happy.
Every hug, kiss and I love you means the world to me.I can feel in my heart that we are more than mother and daughter. We are best friends.I thank god every day for allowing Stormy to stay with us and be happy, health little girl.
We go for our check up at 8:oo a.m. today. So please pray that all will be good with blood work.Stormy will now have to get a poke(hopefuly only one)now that she has her Hickman Line taken out.
Will update when we return home.Pray that she can graduate to once a month visits and to get off some of these YUCKY medicines.Sign our guestbook. We love you !

Well here we are just 1 and 1/2 days till Christmas.I told Philip the other day that somtimes I feel like pinching myself to see if I'm dreaming. This might sound a little crazy to some of you.I'm just soooooo thankfull to have both my children with me and have our Holidays at home. This is trully my favorite Christmas present of all time.
I want to share wiht you what Miss Stormy did Yesterday evening! She was at our living room window and had her hands up and was praying.I asked her "Stormy what are you praying for"?She very BLUNTLY said "None of your Buisness"So I left it alone knowing that whatever she was praying for must have been really important to her .I went about cleaning the house.
Fifteen minutes went by and I heard her singing in her room.So I grabbed the camcorder and went in to spy on her. There she sat on her bed brushing one of her many BARBIES hair singing"I'm praying for snow I'm praying for snow"She looked up and saw I was there taping her and said "GET OUT OF HERE"!!!!
She woke up this morning the first thing she did was look outside and seen that it had indeed SNOWED!!!!!!!!
She was so happy.Dancing around and giggling like a wild women!I let her have her fun!
She then went outside after getting all bundled up and played in the snow. Her favorite thing she did ---She made a snow angel. After making it she asked me how to spell AAron. One of her St.Jude friends that just went to be with Jesus.I told her and she bent done and wrote in BIG letters his name above the top of the Angel.Tears stung my eyes as I watched her .To know that she knows so much about Jesus warms my heart
She knows that all of her St.Jude friends are safe in the everlasting arms of our father. Please remember to pray for all of our little warriors that continue to fight daily!Pray for thier families and always cherish every second with your children.
We will be flying to Memphis on the 28th of December.Stormy has been having some really nasty headaches so pray that all goes well.I'm having her annointed with oil This Sunday at church. She is such a little ham!She is walking around with two bags full of toys giving them out to us .She gave me a doctor's stethascope.!God bless you all and to each a very Happy Health Holiday Season.Remember to sign the guestbook.Even if you are visiting for the first time!

Thursday, December 16, 2004 9:15 PM CST

Hi again to all of dear friends and family.
Well with the holidays fast approaching Stormy is more and more excited everyday to get into all those presents. She is just a typical seven year old .Well Philip and I (Stormy's dad)celebrated our 14th weddind anniversary on the 15th of December!Wow!
We did nothing too exciting. We did our favorite thing in the whole wide world. We spent the night with the kids and watched movies and ate popcorn. It was so nice to tuck my baby girl into her bed and se her so peacfully sleeping. The site where she got her line pulled looks better every day .
We did take her to her doctor and found out that the itchy rash she is broken out in is exzema.Oh Brother. So we were given alot of hydracortisone cream and two bottles of Benadryl to control the itching.
Well at least it's not an allergy she had from the cat.
I thought it was.I wasen't prepared to get rid of my eleven year old cat.I would have if I had to but i'm glad that's not the case.Everyone At Stromy's doctor could not believe how good she looks.Last time they seen her she was in severe pain and looked prety bad.
OF course the talk topic was all about her curly hair. She got upset and started crying. She thinks everyone talks about it because it is ugly.We told it's because it's beautifull. She wants her straight hair back.Bless her heart.
On this Holiday Seaseon please remember to say prayers for all of our St.Jude Family. Many of our little fighters are not able to be home and are real sick so continue to pray for them. Also please say a prayer for the family of AArond Hunter .AArond had Neroblastoma and went to be wiht Jesus on Dec,10th.We know he is in a glorious place and in no more pain sitting in our father's lap.
God bless each and every one of you .sending you all love.

Hi again to all of our dear friends and family.Well Stormy and Phil got back from her check up at St.Judes on Fri around 10:30 p.m.All of her bloodwork came back clean.NO cancer cells found.I am so blessed to be home with both my children this year. This time last year we were not sure if Stormy would make it to her next Christmas!Trust me when I say that I take not one single breath that she takes for granet!
She inspires me so much.ALot of friends tell me that if it was not for me they think that Stormy would have given up the fight along time ago but what they don't understand is She is my rock.TO see her feeling well enough to fight with big brother warms my heart so.We are planning on making Christmas cookies for all of our neighbors tommarrow evening after church. She is very excited about this!
Well all of you who have been checking on Stormy know that she was having major line issues.WEll Phil told the doc at St.Judes what was going on and he said it was o.k. to pull it out.He made sure that it was what both Stormy and her parents wanted.Of course we all agreed to get that darn thing out.So the down side of not having it is she will have to get an I.V. once every three weeks to get I.V.I.G.
"the medicine that gives her immune system a boost"She knows that this will happen but is so relieved to be line free. Her next xheck-up is on Dec 28th.One day after big brother's birthday.
he will be the big 13.HELP!!!! HAHAHA.
On a much sadder note we have to children from our St.Jude family that have passed away.Courtney Hayworth .She was a very giving teenager with a beautifull smile and never failed to ask me how Stormy was doing. So please pray fot the Hayworth family that god will suround them at this time. Also AArond hunter who passed away on Dec 10th.I know he is at peace and resting in heaving with No MORE PAIN!!!!AArond loved suoer heroes and I bet that god has given him the biggest super cape ever.Soar high little Aarond. Please Pray for his mom and brothers as they also have a difficult time ahead.
PLease pray for understanding, comfort and peace.
Please remeber to sign the guestbook even if you are new to Stormy's site I read the entrees to her and she likes to hear form everyone.God BLess and Thanks!

I know it's been awhile since my last update!Sorry!Things have been really crazy around here.Stormy is doing GREAT.We are having alot of issues with her hickman line. It's a line threaded through a vein in her chest and then comes out of the center of her chest. It allows her to get I.V. medicines without having to get a poke all the time.Well the problem is that her skin looks horrible underneath the bandage. We have been in close contact with the line nurse at St.Judes and we've done evrything she's said to do and it still looks horrible. It's like this because as it starts to heal it becomes very itchy!!!!SO when Stormy is tucked into bed at night she will scrath and scratch untill she scratches the bandage off.We have cut her nails as short as possible and nothing is working. She says she wants it out and being she only needs it to get one i.v med once every two weeks we are trying to arrange for it to be pulled out! That is how they get them out. They are pulled out.She has been so misreable and I don't want her to get a infection in her line from this. Her counts are still looking great and she is being her bossy litlle self!I love it when she keeps me on my toes .It means she is feeling good.
She is very excited about Christmas !Everyday she asks me "how many more days untill Christmas momma"So we sat down and made a calender that way when she gets herself up in the morning she can mark off a day.I think she's asking Santa for everything under the sun! HELP! ha ha .Her next check-up is the 9th and 10th of December so pray that things will go well and that those counts stay CLEAN.Please remember our St.Jude friends as the Holidays approach.Thier Children are still continuing to fight for thier life. Also remember the ones that got the reward of being picked as one of god's beautifull flowers to sit in his garden in heaven.
They will all be in our heart as they are always!God bless and Happy Hoilidays.

The medals on our chests
are porta-caths for meds
Helmets won't stay on
cause no hair is on our heads.
Our weapons of destruction
we take every day
We fight the battle within us
While we struggle on to play
We fight with honor and courage
No marine could do as well
We are only little children
Living in this hell
So bring on the medals
The purple hearts of wars
The gold cross,The silver star
To place upon our scars For
We are the children of cancer
No one has fought so hard
But everyday we struggle on
Our life is our reward

I read this through a friend's caringbridge page and it moved me deeply!I wanted to share it with my friends and family. It says so much!

Hi again to all friends and family.I just wanted to let everyone know that Stormy and Philip just left to go catch thier plane to Memphis.Upon arrival she will go to St.Judes and get her blood drawn .We will know in two days if she will have to stay or not. Please pray that she will be able ot come home.It was a very tearfull goodbye as she dide'nt want to leave me and vice versa.I miss her so bad when she is not here.I have nothing to do!She was feling a little warm when she left so let's hope thier is no fever as well.
She will be fine with her daddy. If she does have to stay Stormy and Philip was invited to spend Thanksgiving with all her friends from St.Judes at TargetHouse. So at least they won't be alone. My plans are to go to my Grandmothers although I will not stay long.It won't feel right without her ther. She told me before she left "You better save me some of grandma Flo's Turkey"!I busted out laughiing.
So just remember us in your prayers as we wil you and god bless. Will update again as sooon as possible.
By the way
we put some new photos on so get a look at them and tell what ya think! Please remember to sign the guestbook Stormy is usually right beside when I read it.So I read all her entries to her.

Hi .Well we are still waiting for Sunday so Stormy can go to Memphis and get her blood drawn.I'm hoping and praying that the her E.V.P.levels are lower than 2000.In the end of October she was 300.Then middle of Novemeber she went to 900 and now she's at 2,100.So Depending on
what the results say she may have to stay in Memphis through Thanksgiving. They have been invited to attend a Thanksgiving dinner At Target House .If it's meant to be.I sure would like her to be here though.I praise our awesome god everyday that Stormy is cancer free this holiday season and hopefully many, many more to come.Thier are alot of parents who cannot say this about thier children this holiday season. Please remember to pray for them and thier familes .Our family knows how difficult it is to be away from the ones you love.
I'm going to have stormy annoited in church This sunday morning before she leaves for Memphis.I think it will do us all good. This is a very serious virus that could get really bad fast so pray ,pray, pray!!!
Please remeber to pray for Josh and his family at this time for they are going to have some tough things to come.So please remember the Ingledue family. We love you Josh!!!!!
Also Please pray for Philip'dad and his beautifull wife and children. They are having some financial difficulties and we need to left them up in prayer.Pray for the Lott Family.God bless each and every one of you1
Stormy says Please sign her guestbook so we know you checked in on her. Also we have added some beautifull pictures of the kids so check them out.Tell us what you think!Tonya

Hi again to all our wonderfull friends and family.Well we got some bad news today. The test that we,ve been waiting for has come back. The last test Stormy had her E.V.P.level was 300,900, and today we found out it is 2,100.This is definantly not good news. This E.V.P. virus can cause Stormy's throat to swell or her Sinuses to have a severe infection in them.I know a liilte boy who spent six weks in I.C.U.in Memphis from this virus. So it's serious.I'm thankfull thier is still no cancer but I'm still very nervous about this virus. The doctor says he usually likes the virus to be under 2,000.AS you read Stormy's level only continues to go higher.
We were told instead of bringing Stormy in for her check-up on Monday. They want us to leave on Sunday night. When we arrive they want to have blood drawn .It will then take two or three days to get results back.If the results are lower we will be home for Thanksgiving .If they are higher than she will have to stay in Memphis for Thanksgiving. She will have to get medicines through her single luman hickman line in the medicine room at St.Judes.I'm not sure how long the infusion will take but they have to get the virus under control.
I'm heartbroken.I have been so excited because we were all going to be together for the holidays at home this year and it looks like that is not going ot be.I know that if at all possible that god will allow us to be together as a family .Stormy has been in Memphis fighting the beast for the last two years in a row.Last Thanksgiving we were in I.C.U.In Labohner's Children Hospital in Memphis because Stormy started having seizures.Thank god she has'nt had any since then!!!!!!!!!
When she does go for her check-up on Sunday. She has an appointment with the nerologist (Dr.Conn)To see if she gets to get rid of her yucky seizure medicine.Gabupinton.Stormy calls it gag-u-penton.Bless her little heart! You got to lover her.I will post another update as soon as I found out more about her test results .Please continue to pray for all our St.Jude warriors.Pray that god will give them strength and courage to keep fighting.I do know that we are so blessed to have Stormy cancer free this holiday season.Thier are many parents who cannot say this. So,Please let's pray for them too.God Bless,Tonya

Monday, November 15, 2004 10:15 PM CST

Hi again.Well Stormy went to Chatanooga today and had her blood drawn for the e.v.p. test.I won't know any results for a couple of days. She was soo good.Although she still has her central line .It must have been scary seeing all new faces and being in a new hospital.
Please say prayers for Josh.He is a child we have become relly close to at St'Judes .He's always trying to get everyone else to smile. He'a super kid!He had surgury to remove a second tumor from his spine in three months. He's going home on the 20th.His father said they are going home for good.Josh is in alot of pain and the doc's have given him 4 months to live. Please pray for his family.
Please pray for Chris at this time as Josh was his best friend while we were at St.Judes and he's very angry right now and very sad. Please pray that he can startt o understand. He's lost so many of his friends too. He's older so it's harder on him to accept it.GOd bless each and every one of you.

Friday, November 12, 2004 4:38 PM CST

Hi .Well today has been horrible!Everyone knows we live on a mountain in Tennesee. It has bben the worst weather today. It has been cold. And raining all day. It's so foggy way up here.Philip had to drive to the movie store which usually only takes a few minutes. It took twenty minutes because he could'nt see two feet in front of his face!!!!!!YUK!
ALso T.C.Thompsan in Chatanooga called today and informed me that they finally found the tubes that St.Judes sent them.So they told us to go ahead and start the trip to get there.Well five minutes later i was called back and told not to come intill Monday to get the e.v.p. test redone!!!I was so upset.I want to know now if Stormy is o.k.NOW Not on Monday.
So we will go on Monday too get the test redone and hopefully her evp level will be lower than 900!I probably won't find out the results untill wenesday or thursday.I feel like screaming somtimes.

Also if you are a visitor to Stormy's website please don't forget to sign the guestbook!!1Stormy is useually right beside me when I check her guestbook. She likes for m e to read to her all the things that are in there.Thanks1
REMEMBER TO THANK GOD FOR ALL YOUR BLESSINGS EACH AND EVERY DAY.GOD BLESS !tONYA

Thursday, November 11, 2004 8:30 PM CST

Hi again to all friends and family!Well I got a call today from ms kim. That's Stormy's nurse in b-clinic.She said that Stormy had a test result come back high.It is a test called e.p.v. test. It's a virus of the lympnodes.Well last month when she went for her check up the level came back as 300.They just got the results back from last Fri and the results are 900.So tommarrow we have to go all the way to Chatanooga and get this test done again so The doc at St.Judes will know what to do.Either she will be given medicine or she will be admitted untill the level comes down. This is the same virus that causes mono. She still has a small knot on the right side of her head too.The doc said he was'nt worried about it .Just to watch it and make sure it don't get any bigger. It hase'nt got any bigger but it's gotten harder,so when we go tommarrow I will have it checked again.Stormy has been acting kinda tired and not wanting to eat anything.PLEASE REMEBER US IN YOUR PRAYERS!!!!PRAY THAT ALL TESTS COME BACK CLEAN!!!!
This is soo scary!
Love to all.

Hi again to all friends and family.Just to let you know that Stormy had her check-up on Friday and all her blood work came back clean.Yaaaaaaa!Praise god!I know he has carried us many times over the past few years. He IS such an awesome god.Stormy started her home school this week and loved it.She loves her teacher so much. She is a wonderfull lady. Please say an extra prayer for Philip as his lungs are just getting worse and worse.I know alot of people don't think that asthma is serious but Philip has quit breathing on me twice in thirteen years from it.So lift him up in prayer!!!!I thank god for such wonderfull friends and families. Please enjoy every minute you have with your children! This Thanksgiving when your sitting at the table about to enjoy your dinner when you say what your thankfull for Be THANKFULL FOR YOUR CHILDREN"S HEALTH!We somtimes take it for granite! In god's name,Tonya

Hi to all family and friends.Stormy and Chris had an awesome Halloween,They went trick or treating and wore themselves out. They got so much candy !It was so nice to be HOME for a Holiday. We are so use to being at the Hospital. Here's something funny !Philip and I was driving around running errends and I asked Philip if he had a voter regestration card.He said yes .I told him good that way we can go vote on Nov.2.Stormy spoke up from the back seat and said"mom I know who I'm going to vote for"I turned and loked at her thinking to myself surley she don't no anything about the presidential debate. She then said so seriously "I'm going to vote for George Washington"I don't think i've ever laughed so hard.I then explained to her that Goerge Washington is in heaven with Jesus .Then she told me that George Washinton can't be the president in heaven because god is!!!!Some more good news.Stormy is still doing good. She has lost almost all of her weight from being on steroids. She lost 14 pds now.Her hair is soooo curly.I don't know what to do with it.Everyone asks me "is her hair naturally curly?"I tell them they are her chemo curls.I always get a weird look when I tell them that!Stormy will go for a check up thin Friday with daddy.Pray that all goes well.

Please say a special prayer for Josh Engledue. He is inpatient at St Judes facing another surgury! He had a tumor removed three months ago and yet the tumor has grown back.So he's going to have surgury to remove it again. He's such a great kid.He goes around trying to make every one else smile. No matter how bad he feels. We love you Josh!

Also remember Lonnie Dykes .He's a good friend of the family. He is having lung problems and is very ill.

remember to keep all children everywhere who are fighting for thier life because of illnesses.God bless.Tonya

Hi to all friends and family,WellStormy was suppose to go for her check up today. Our electricity went out because of a storm and needless to say We woke up to a flashing alarm clock.I was in a panic .Philip called the hospital and Dr.Usef said that it wase'nt a big deal just to come in next Friday.Besides having a few small nose bleeds here and there she's fine!We had her counts checked and they are all fine.So I will put in another update soon.Chris and Stormy are going to a Hallowenn dance at thier school tonight. They both are so excited.PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ALL ST.JUDE CHILDREN.tHEY FIGHT EVERY DAY TO LIVE.God bss you and stay safe.Tonya

October 24.04

Well,Stormy will go to Memphis for another check-up on the 29th.She's been feeling good and being bossy so I know that is a good sign. Her dad will bring her this time.I will stay home since it is only a one day trip.Stormy is planning on being a witch for Halloween.Chris is going to be something scary.I don't even know what to call him.We continue to pray for our St.Jude family daily/We hold you up in prayer as well as everyone we know.GOd Bless You guys. Thanks to all who pray for my family daily ,for this
we love you!!!!!!Tonya

Saturday, August 7, 2004 9:45 PM CDT

Well Stormy had a cat scan on Friday the 6th.I guess the doc's wanted make sure thier is no tumors in her brain because she's been seeing things, hearing bells ringing, and having some bad headaches. They said it may be because of the nerologist taking her off the seizure medicine. So now she's back on it .We will get the results on monday the ninth. The doc's said that if Stormy's cat scan comes back clean she can come home next week!!!!!!YAAAAAAAAA!I pray and hope it will.Dr.usef said that he would like us to drive back once a week for a check up because he would like to check her skin.He said that g.v.h.d. can come back as quickly as it left. It's not totally gone away yet but she's got a good start. Thanks to all family and friends. Please continue to pray for all the kids at St.Judes.Tonya

Monday, August 2, 2004 7:24 PM CDT

well we have some good news and some bad news. The good news is Stormy is going to get her line out.The bad news she will have to go through surgury. They are going to put a port under the skin. That way the can still draw blood and get meds.Only one med at atime though. She is having more magnesium problems again. The docs are saying that her kidneys are flushing out the magnesiumof her body to fast.
Thet fear that all the chemo she's had has damaged her kidneys some.I think it has to do with her cyclosporin. Please keep prsying

Monday, July 26, 2004 9:10 PM CDT

Hi to all family and friends.Stormy is doing good! Her skin is looking really good. She is still gdtting light therapy twice a week but I don't think it will continut to much longer.I'm hoping Dr.Usef will let us come home before school starts.Stomy's double luman hickman line has been hurting alot. This is a line where she can get meds andcan have blood drwn out of it without having to be stuck. It's been hurting so they did an x-ray.The line has shifted.I know the dr's said it would have to be adjusted.I hope she will be sedated but I don't know as of right now.I will update again when I find out more. She sends her love to all and says to tell yuo she prays for you every night.!

Happy 4th of July to all friends and family. We are doingo.k.STormy is in the medicine room getting fluids for diarria but she's o.k.She's upset about not being able to go see any fire works tonight but we feel safer being near the hospital.Stormy is finally off Steroids but that's why she's havind diarrea. So they put her on a very small dose just to coat the lining of her stomach just for a week. She is still getting light therapy twice a week for her g.v.h.d.Her skin is looking really good but I'd rather take the time and know it's not going to come right back, then to get home and have to come right back for it!!!!!!We will get to go home when god feel it is time.I know that were not walking through this alone .God is walking beside me every step of the way.God Bless you all!Love,Tonya

Wednesday, June 16, 2004 10:47 AM CDT

Hi to all friends and family!Well we got to go home for another week but it was short than we exspected.Stormy's g.v.h.d.rash got worse .I called st.Judes and they told me to bring her in that thet were going to give her steroids in her line.So we got back Wensday nihgt around nine aclock. They decided to admit her because she was feeling really awfull. They are trying to get her of the steroids because it's causing her skin to stretch to it's maximum. Her activity is limited right now because the doctors said that even if she bumped something it could cause her skin to tear. Then it would have trouble healing.Because of the steroids. She was in the hospital for two days and we were released to go back to Target house. So we are still taking it one day at a time.Hopefully she will fell better by her Birthday.Tonya-Continue to pray for us!

Monday, May 31, 2004 9:31 AM CDT

Thursday, April 29, 2004 11:49 AM CDT

Hello again to all friends and family!!!Stormy and I are doing good! She is getting really excited because she is getting close to her 100 days to go home.I'm getting excited also although her g.v.h.d. came back when the doctors lowered her steroids to only 5 milligrams. She is now back at ten milligrams and is misreable with itching and her skin really dry and flakey. The creams they give her don't help with the itching only the dryness of it.the pills have got to where they don't help the itching either. So we will just wait on the prednizone to start helping once again. Please continue your prayers for us and every child at St.Jude,Target House and the Ronald Mcdonald house. Each and every one of you is a true blessing .Thanks Tonya

hi
Stormy has just gotten out of the hospital once again!!She had a severe outbreak of graft verses host disease.G.v.h.d.She broke out all over her intire body within a matter of minutes
She was a itchy mess and was breathing really funny .She felt so miserable that she was crying she wanted to go to the hospital and get checked.
We took her and I'm so greatfull that her doctor happened to be on call.So he immeadiatly knew that stormy just lying around and appering very lathargic was'nt our Stormy. So he admitted her and had strted her on antibiotics and put her on steroids. So now she's on the same kind of steroids her dad uses.Prednizone.So we spent about 4 more days in the hospital and were once again FREE.She's feeling better but is very homsick. She is so tired of the hospital.Who could blame her?The doc's said that everytime she has an outbreak of g.v.h.d.it is really good as long as it's not life threatning.G.v.h.d. somehow will fight off any Leukemia that could be in her blood.Don't worry thier is'nt any in her blood. She is still in total remmision.!!!!I thank god for my litle miracle every day. Please keep us in your thoughts and your prayers as well as the parents and patients of St Judes. Please pray for Brittney Price a 12 year old girl with leukemia. The doctors are preparing her to go home. They said thier is nothing else they can do for her.She told her dad that she was'nt going through anymore chemo and that God was going to heal her. Please just pray for her to have strenght and for god to heal her forever.
Thank you again,Tonya

Hello to all family and friends.Well Stormy is doing o.k.Right now she's covered in a really itcy rash and she's MISERABLE!!!!The doctors say it's g.v.h.d.rash.It means graft verses host disease. Her body identifies Philip's t- cells as being forign so it's natural thing to do is fight it off. She's going to start a medicinn in the medicine room today that will hopfully stop the rejection from getting any worse.Philip went home to be with Chris. It's so HARD to be up here by myself.Thier is always somthing that has to be done from going to appointments at the hospital or giving medicine. So please pray that this new medicine called cyclasporin will help her not to reject any more than she already has!!!Pray that god will continue to give us strenght and thank him for healing Stormy.

Hi again to family and friends.
Well good news comes ore way again!!!!Stormy got out of the hospital yesterday feb-17 around 4:00 p.m.She seems to being o.k. but has a borderline fever. We are already back at the hospital this morning as we will be every day for quite a while.I'm just concerned about her temperature.I know that if it goes up any higher we will be admitted again.Probably started on tons of antibiotics by i.v.I hope and pray that her temperature will start to come down a little.Right now she's at 99 degree farinheit. To be considered a fever at St.Judes it has to be 100.2.So we are hoping it will go DOWN!!!She was so happy to get out of the hospital yesterday. All the staff on the fourth floor came in and sang a silly song abouot pack your bags get out the door you don't get chemo anymore! Then they through confettie all over Philip,Chris Stormy and myself. After the party was the best part.It was time for Philip-Stormy's dad to add his handprints to the wall by Stormy's and Chris's.So the first time we went through this Chris added his for being the donor then Stormy put her's beside bubas for being the reciepent.Well Philip put his hands on top of Stormy's and traced around his hands and out second transplant donor dad.Aloe transplant. So now it looks like Stormy's handprints are in the center of her dad's.Of course I was crying. It's so moving to see this first hand. While stormy and Dad was finishnig up another boy was putting up his handprints down the hall.So let's continue to pray that a CURE will be found and soon.Pray for every child here at St.Judes.In the words of Danny Thomas.((Let no child die in the dawn of life!))

Good morning to all family and friends.Stormy ate a very good breakfast this morning. She ate a hard bolied egg and half a bannana. She has a sore throat. The doctor's think that is because of mucasitis from the chemo. She's also started to feel some pain in her lower back.I talked to the doctors this morning and they think it's because her absolute netraphil count is going up.Let me translate that into english for you.
The chemo bottomed her anc out to zero. That ment she had nothing to fight off infection with.Well yesterday it was up to 100.This morning it's up to 323.It basically means that Philip's t-cells are grafting.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's working !The doctors said they can't believe how fast she has started to graft. She can still reject at anytime so let's continue to pray and God will see her through.
Please pray for the Kistener Family.A family I met at St.Jude last year. They lost thir daughter in November. It's so hard to be here and love the children you come to know every day.I trully know little Baily is in a better place and will NEVER have to take medicine again.
Thanks to all!!!--------Tonya

Hi to all family and friends,
Today has been o.k.Stormy woke up today actually wanting to eat breakfast. It took the cafeteria an hour and a half to bring her food up to her and by that time she was asleep.I was so mad!!!!They don't understand that your children are seldom hungry and when they are it's only a short amount of time before a medicine she's taking will make her sleepy.Stormy sat up doing some of her Valentine cards yesterday. She had so much fun.She would'ent let me help her with anything. The doctors came in and said in amazement-Stormy is doing surprizingly well.I told them that nothing is a surprise when God is carring you!!I got a strange look. It's the truth!Continue to pray for us and we will do the same for you.

Hello again.
Well Stormy is continuing to do very good. She was up alot today.Everyone on the fouth floor has a new nickname for her. It's Ms.Busy bee.I told them we want her busy. It's when she's not busy that we need to worry. She still has no appitite but she is getting all her nutrition through her t.p.n.Stormy got alot of cards from scgool and was so excited she was showing them to every one.Special thanks goes out to Mrs.Angie and Mrs.Whitman.Philip and I are hanging in there. It's so hard being away from Stormy's brother Chris.I just hope and pray that he trully understands why.Well I need to get back upstairs so Stormy dos'ent call memphis police and tell them her mom is missing.Ha-Ha.Everyone please pray for god to continue to allow Stormy to do well and to give Philip and I spiritual strengh as well as physical.

Hello to all friends and family.Stormy is doing really good now on her first day after transplant. She has had a appitite today and has wanted to play. The doctor came in to day and said we had a problem.Of course I was scared to death. So he proceeded to tell me and Philip that somehow Stormy did'ent recieve all the chemo she was supposed to.Evedently she had missed a dose on Friday Jan 30th.
The doctor was very upset saying he did'ent understand how this could happen in such a good hospital. The problem with her missing this chemo is the chance for rejecting Philip's marrow is higher.
They can't go back and give it to her now because it would kill her t-cells she just got.So the plan is to continue on aith her protocall and watch her very close.I feel like everything happens for a reason and maybe if she got the last dose it would have effected her in a very bad way.I feel this is work of god!!!Everyone continue to pray.Sendind our love and thanks your way.

Hi friends anf family,
Well around 11:00A.M today Stormy recieved her dad's stem cells. It was really strang to say the least .Two people came in with gloves on and pulled Philip's stem ceel out of a cooler. They were so cold that when they lifted the lid off the cooler the room filled with smoke from the ice!!!They then had to put Philip's cells in very hot water to thaw them out. They were still cold but not frozen. She recieved the amount of 236CC,s.She was nautious during the transfusion because she could taste it.She was really mad at the doctor because he would'ent let het up to go potty .She's slept most of the day and woke up to eat 3 bites of maccaronie and cheese. Now it's just a waiting game to see if the cells will graft .They will because God is watching over her.It was a really amazing expierience to watch,Technology has come so far.Countinue to pray for us as we will you every night. Love, Tonya

Well, once again I've left Stormy in good hands. She's upstars with Philip. She has really felt TERRIBLE today. She sarted getting a new chemo called trioxin. It can seep through the skin so we half to give her baths every 4 to 5 hours for two days. She is so brave!!!She thinks waking up at two in the morning is kinda neat to take a bath. She laughed when I told her.On the other hand I don't think she will be to excited because she's started to feel the effects of the chemo. She's been really nautious and has'ent ate anything today.I'm hoping tommarrow will overall be better.Philip has succesfully donated his first set of t- cells. He willl have to go down again tommarow to donate some more. It's so hard sometimes to be the strong one. This time seeing what not only Stormy has gone through but what Philip has had to go through has been hard on me.I just keep telling satan to get behind me and messing with him because if I was'ent mesing with him he would'ent have any reason to keep messing with me!!!!I'm so thankfull to have such a great community to love and support us.Angie and Jeff are trully god sent.I know that when Stormy's brother is with them that's one less thing I have to wrry about and for this I'm forever thankfull!Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we will do the same for you.
Sincerrly,
Tonya
