Vannie, I miss you still. I don't think you know how much I think of you. Will finishes 11th grade tomorrow and he sent me a picture of his graduation ring. Every milestone I think of you. You walked first. He was right behind. Whatever he does, I think of you.

My faith has grown so much since back then. My darling precious child, you are an angel. I know that for sure now and I know you are worshiping Him. I still get so sad sometimes, but I want you to know that I think of you and your family so much. This next year would've been your senior year. Please wrap your mommy and daddy and sister in extra special love and support. We miss you hon. Love, Julie

Hi Amy, I was just thinking about you and Savannah, and wondering whether you still had this site running...and I can't leave without saying I was here! This September marked 10 years since Lowri lost her battle, some days I can't believe that it has been that long, and yet so much has changed in our world that I wonder if she would recognise us if she walked back in! I hope that you are all doing OK and that life is running smoothly. Love to you all XX

Hello,
I ran across your website and will add Savanah to my prayer list. When I saw that she had a double transplant, I thought you might be from our area and had gone to Children's Memorial Hosp. That's where our daughter had a double transplant. She is fighting her second relapse of Wilm's tumor but is doing well in a clinical trial. So sorry to hear the struggles that Savanah had to endure. God Bless you all.

Savannah is unforgettable as my daughter Virginia is. Do you remember me? Laura from Italy, I wrote to you some years ago, during your daily journal about Savannah and you kindly answered. Our two angels are so vivid sometimes. Years passed since Virginia's death, and it is the same for you, but her skin, so soft is still in my hands. Maybe, the same happens to you.I see Savannah's photo in web site and is so sililar to my little Virginia. Life is going on, and we have to afford it with strenght as Savannah and Virginia did. Laura

Hello Olsons,
Hope the holidays were great and congradulations on school Amy,hope ya pass the finals.Im sure Savannah is with all the wonderful Olsons in all they do.it can be painful when one thinks of someone who is no longer with us physically. When I visit my old high School, even though it has been a little over eight yrs,im always aware that a favorite teacher who died my senior yr is gone and it hurts as she took me for me and did not make me conform.Same with a camper that i knew from a day camp i worked at who passed away from a terminal illness just b4 age 17 each yr i wonder waht shed be wahtever age(21 this past August).Like you say I live with it but at times it hits me and I cry. However I cant imagine losing a child,it must hurt(i am single but I work with kids and teens and some young adults).Im not sure I can compare my losses to ur loss of Savannah. Its true though that I have a hard time picturing her as nearly 12 since I still have that image of her as a little girl. All the best wishes to you and ur relatives

Ahhhhhhhh, yet another year passes by; they go so quickly, yet so slowly when you hurt inside. The new year brings new jobs, new friends, new relationships, new babies. The one thing it doesn't bring is a solution to a broken heart or it doesn't help ease the pain you have within .... still, always and forever. Not a day goes by that I do not look at your old house and see SAvannah's smiling face. If it's quiet outside I can hear her laugh with Kelsey and all the other kids. I can't begin to know your sadness, I can just send all of you big (((hugs))).
May 2009 bring you more happier days and wonderdful memories
... Love ya

It's time to party sweet Savannah. If we could all be there today I think we would see a happy beautiful little angel.
Just for today, you would be wearing a lovely pink robe with satin pink ribbons in your hair. All your little friends would have on their pink robes too and they would be singing many songs to you...esp. Happy Birthday. I am sure you would all take your time to send your love to Mommy,Daddy,Jasmin and the many many people who love you in this life. Have fun today. Gayle, Cecil, Andrew and Maggie.

I thought of Savannah this morning on the way to work, where I always think of her, and she knew it. And I will tell you why.
When she passed away there was a song on the radio by Melissa Etheridge, "It only hurts when I breathe" And I played it for days as I was sad and that I thought of you, Amy, as I knew this was taking your breath away. It is a song you rarely hear. And you have guessed by now, it was on the radio this morning, her birthday, as I was thinking of Savannah. So no one could ever tell me this stuff is not for real. God Bless you family and hope you are remembering all the good times. We love you and Thank YOU for your continued support.

Happy Birthday Sweet Savannah,
Eleven years ago today you made me a grandma (AKA Nana) for the first time. I will never forget what I was doing on 6/27/97 and how my whole office staff was waiting for the call announcing your birth.

As you know, I took you pink roses today. On my way to visit you I kept saying "Please Savannah send me a message -I need a butterfly to light on my shoulder while I am visiting you.

Well, there wasn't a butterfly but two beautiful blue dragonflies darting around me as I stood there thinking about you. I know it was you and Brad and that you are happy and safe in Heaven with Brad, Bella and James Vincent. We are the sad ones because we miss you so. Words cannot say how much I love you guys, but you know that.

Take care Lance, Amy and Jasmin and the whole Olson family.
It is a hard day.

I knew when I woke up this morning that it was the 28th....I am so sorry. And, when I called today I was really hoping that I would get to talk to you, I just didn't want to leave a message. I hope that yesterday was a peaceful one for all of you. Please know that I think of you and your family ALL the time, not just on birthdays and anniversarys. Hi Amy- I hope all is well..with you...with your mom...with everyone in your family. You have had enough challenges and heartache in your lifetime! I just saw an old friend of mine, Michelle Baran, and found out that you are neighbors and friends! As a matter of fact that day her daughter Cassidy was going home from school to play with Jasmine! What a small world. I am so happy for you that you are settled into your new home and neighborhood- and so happy to know that you are there- in that neighborhood- where everyone is truly a neighbor if you know what I mean. You picked a good spot. You will have to post a picture of you and Jasmine before you cut your hair- that I will not be able to imagine- Amy and Jasmine with long hair!! I miss you and just wanted to say hi- best wishes- Kathi Willett

Time passes by so quickly my friends. 4 years of missing Savannah is almost here, each day as hard as the first day, that she earned her wings. Tragedy helps put into prospective for us just how fragile life is and how it should be lived in happiness and peace. Too many live in anger and in frustration because they tend to judge others way to much. It's much healthier to smile and laugh, then it is to raise ones blood pressure because 'crabby' has become their second nature. Too many people have lost their lives to illness they can't control, but would have given anything to change in their favor. Don't take anything for granted because 'life' and happiness can be gone in the time it takes you to turn around. Our prettiest littlest ^ngel Savannah, you have taught me to be more patient, loving, caring and I listen more. I take NOTHING or no one for granted and I count my blessings everyday. Your amazing Savannah and each time the wind gently touches my face, I smile because I know your near by. (((Hugs)))my little hero, you will always have front row seating, in my heart.
I hope all is well with your Mom Amy and with Lance's Aunt. They remain in my daily prayers.

It is so heart breaking reading about Savannah however it is also such a wonderful story about such a wonderful / strong / gifted child. May God always over look her family to give them the strength needed to carry on. They are truly special parents who will not allow the memory of their daughter drift from view. Dear Amy, Lance & Jazz .... The pain, hurt and insanity seems to never stop does it? Just as you start moving forward, you seem to be pushed back abruptly. I am sorry to read of Lance's Aunt's illness. It just doesn't seem to be fair now does it? I am sure lots of us out there complain when our lives aren't as picture perfect as we'd like them to be, and then it takes someone else's tragedy to set us straight. Our LIVES though maybe not perfect are wonderful, compared to what some have to deal with each and everyday God blesses them with breath. I think so often of Savannah when I feel like I can't go on anymore. Just thoughts of your ^ngel is usually just the boost I need. She was and always will be such an inspiration to me and as always she will remain closely to my heart. I send all of you (((( hugs ))) and you and your family will forever remain in my prayers.

But that was something that HAD to be done, as you know. I am so happy to have your family as our friends. Love you

Dear my hero Savannah ...
Each day you still help remind me of what is important. Though you can't be touched, I am able to hear you in my heart whenever I am feeling down or have a problem. You, my littlest friend taught me more in the short time I knew you then anyone has in my almost 50 years on earth. I hope you know the impact you have had on me and many others and lessons we have learned too. NOTHING is of any importance as that of loving a child, and the unconditional love that child will give you .... if earned. Too many people take love for granted, saying it like they say hello. I know why God chose you Savannah. He picked you because he knew all the wonderful things you would accomplish once you were with him. You touched many hearts when you lived down the street from me, but I truly believe you changed many lives now that you are at peace. I don't have to tell you that you are missed very much, you can see it, you can feel it. We are better people for knowing you in someway. Fly free little girl, you will always be my hero
Love

Dear Lance, Amy & Little Miss Jazz ...
It seems like forever since I have added any entries to the guestbook. Out of site, but never out of mind. I think of Savannah so often. I thought of her on your birthday and smiled. I even bought a helium balloon with her name on it and sent it up to her for her special day. I'm sure she looked lovely and ate lots of yummy birthday cake. I still sing 'HERO' at my karaoke show and when it's over as I blow a kiss to her, I let everyone in the audience know >> "That was for Savannah". Lots of my regulars still remember when I sang that song at her 'On Top of Spaghetti, A Song for Savannah' benefit and they clap and cheer for her. As more time passes by since she found 'peace' I smile knowing how loved she was, and always will be. She made such an impact on my life and everyone's life she so tenderly touched. She taught me a lot through the short time I knew and adored her. She taught me never to judge anyone, because she loved everyone just the way they were. She taught me that life is what you make it because even though she was so sick at times, she always managed to have a smile for you. The most important thing she taught me was say "I love you" as often as possible, because if you wait for tomorrow you may be sorry when it does not come. I miss seeing your bright, beautiful face Savannah when you lived a few doors down from me, but everytime I feel a breeze blow across my face when I am outside, I know you're still there. Fly free my little HERO, you're gone but you will never, ever be forgotten.
Always your biggest fan

Lance, Amy, Angel Savannah & Jasmin~ Thinking of you all today as you Celebrate this special 10th(double digit) birthday for a sweet little girl. Do everything that Savannah would want to do....laugh, smile, cry & be angry-everyone of those are the feeling that we will go through the rest of our lives. Sounds like you have been experiencing so many of those feeling lately anyway....We will be sending Birthday wishes to that very special Angel today-having Angel Haley join in the Celebration and give little Van a BIG hug:) Thought I would include this poem, which I'm sure you've read a hundred times or more. You are always in our thought & prayers!!!

Words from an Angel

I have not turned my back on you,
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from Heaven,
Just beyond the morning sky.
I've seen you almost fall apart,
When you could barely stand.
I asked the Lord to comfort you,
And watched him take your hand.
He told me you are in more pain,
Than I could ever be.
He wiped his eyes and swallowed hard,
Then gave your hand to me.
Although you may not feel my touch,
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you,
While I wiped each tear you cried.
So please try not to ache for me,
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky,
A rainbow lights the way.

Hi Olsons,
Thinking of all of you and wishing you well on Savannah's 10th birthday. I saw this poem and thought you might like it.

I am heaven's child, you see
I play with angels surrounding me
I can fly with the speed of thought to be with you
When you think I'm not
So, please remember I love you
And I know that all of you love me too,
And even now while we're apart
I'm still right here,
I'm in your heart.

Happy birthday to you and your loved one's Savannah.

What a Great entry, sorry it has been so long since we have stopped by. You are always in our prayers and it sounds like you guys have been busy-the trip sounds Super, sounds like Jazmin really enjoyed the different cultures and I see that you did several things for sweet Savannah.

I know the daily struggles you face and the emptiness you hold in your heart everyday. Our future will never be the same, but I'm sure you have learned to turn it all over to God. We have to Trust in him & count those days, till we hold our sweet Angel's again. Oh what a day that will be.

"Pain throws your heart to the ground, love turns the whole thing around, no, it won't all go the way it should, but I know the heart of life is good." From one of my new favorite John Mayer songs. It reminds me of Savannah. No matter how bad things got, she always, always was able to see the good in life. Great news about the Hats off to You!! Thank you so much for hooking that bright, thoughtful girl up with Hope! You know there are children there who will treasure the gifts she is giving in Savannah's memory.I too think alot about Savannah in spring. I always think those flowers popping up are a message that we should look at the bright side, celebrate new beginnings, and never forget the joy that others have brought into our lives. For me that includes you and Savannah- I hope you have a wonderful day-

Amy - I know there will come a time when Van will come to you one way or another. In a dream, in a smell, in an unexpected breeze. Until then, know that she is with you in everything you do. She's curled up next to you when you are sitting quietly. She's blowing you kisses when you are feeling sad. And she's laughing the hardest when something crazy happens. Love - Tricia

Dear Mr. Hallmark,

I am writing to you from heaven, and though it must appear,
A rather strange idea, I see everything from here,
I just popped in to visit, your stores to find a card,
A card of love for my parents, as this day for them is hard,
There must be some mistake I thought, every card you can imagine,
except I could not find a card, from a child that lives in heaven,
they are still a parent too, no matter where I reside,
I had to leave, they understand, but oh the tears they cried,
I thought that if I wrote to you, that you would come to know,
that though I live in heaven now, I still love my parents so,
they talk with me, and dreams with me, we still share laughter too,
memories are our way of speaking now, would you see what you can do?
my parents carry me in their heart, their tears they hide from sight,
they plants flowers in my garden, there my living memory dwells,
they writes to other grieving parents, trying to ease there pain as well,
so you see Mr. Hallmark, though I no longer live on earth,
I must find a way, to remind her of her wondrous worth,
they need to be honored, and be remembered too,
just as the children of the earth will do,
thank you Mr. Hallmark, I know you will do your best,
find a way to tell them, how much they mean to me,
until I can do it for myself, when she joins me in eternity.

I know Christmas must be so hard for you although I can't comprehend how difficult it must be.

All my love,

Viks

Amy, Lance and Jasmin,
I haven't been on your website for such a long time. I just now read your November entry. I am so sorry you have to hurt so much. I believe that as sure as Jasmin was sitting with you watching the family vidios, Savannah was sitting there too. If she could she would tell you how much she loves you all and how much love and happiness she feels in heaven. May her love for you shine through and heal your hurt. Gayle

Death is only a part of our life, maybe it's another way of living our experience. Only in this way I can tolerate my daughter Virginia's death. Our babies are still here and we are away with them. There's a point in the middle of the road where we can meet each other, a point between life and death, where we stay all together. Happy Christmas, I don't forget you and your courageus struggle. Hi Amy,
Although, we have never met, I just wanted to say how my
heart just feels broken for the pain you feel missing your
beautiful girl. She was so blessed to be so loved and
wanted!!! I have never lost a child of my own, so under-
standing all that you go through is impossible for me to do. I only know, as a mother, just the thought of losing
one of my kids makes me feel like I can't breathe right.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this special, yet difficult, holiday time.....

Amy, I read your latest entry and my heart aches for you. Sometimes saying all the usual things just doesn't cut it and some times you just have to grieve. Savannah has been on my mind more than usual lately and maybe it is the holidays and how she loved them that makes it harder to bear, but know that we grieve right along with you and miss her and love her more than ever. I will take her some roses from you tomorrow. Love you all, Bossy

As I struggle to write this, I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing a precious child. The journal that you keep for Savannah is a sober reminder that illness is no respector of age. It is a great way to keep her memory alive. I thank the Lord daily for the 2 precious boys He has entrusted in us. Your family has been added to our prayers. Happy July 4 to all of you.Hope it will be a great holiday.Bet Savannah will make it special.Glad you all enjoy the new house.Happy belated 9th birthday Van.Hard to believe ur nine!Sounds like Van had a cute room at her old home and her mark will be left in ur new home(i like the cloud theme , it fits! Its so sweet that Jazzy keeps Van close by playing in her room and holding her stuff.I wonder waht Van's interests would be now? Disney? who knows.no matter what kind of girl van would be she'd be great.Earlier this evening I wuz listenin' to Jordan hill's song Remember me this Way, it captures Savannah and her life real well.In fact the song made me think of Vanny as well as some loved ones that I miss so much and taking thier being away from me very hard (these special people except for Vanny are still alive but are living too far for me to contact them easily or very often)It also reminded those that have passed on are still in my heart.im so happy ur sweet savannah has a place in my heart although Ive never personally met her.Thank u always for sharing her life and legacy with many people. Each time I read the journal and sign ur guest book it boosts me in good times and in bad and moves me to tears.Despite my many medical obstacles, i know that someday things will be easier and ill be able to do many of the things i used to do.Sometimes I ask Vanny to be by my side and hope she will for as long as I live(most likely an average lifespan)as I know that ill have some degree of medical stuff to face for a lifetime.Vann's time on earth may have been short but her mission is still going strong: she inspires people to do thier best to live a full life no matter what happens. My best Wishes and warm regards go to Lance, Amy and Jazzy as well.

Dear Lance, Amy and Jasmin.

Due to a fast pace so far this summer, I just realized this was Savannah's birthday (2 daya ago). We visitied the cemetery Memorial Day and placed a small pink rose by Savannah's angel. I don't know if this is an appropriate comment..but the new grave stone for all 3 Olsons is just beautiful! At one time I don't think I would ever have thought of a grave stone as beautiful...but this was so shiny and bright and elegant among all the other rather plain ones that I thought "how fitting for these 3 bright, shining and beautiful people and what a profound tribute to them and their memory!". We know They all celebrated together and held hands and sang "Happy Birthday" while Jesus smiled (even laughed) with them. You are all doing so well (Certainly trying) which is a further tribute to the memory of ones so loved. Your blessings will come and you will be given strength and peace and maybe, one day, we will all know the answer to "why?". God bless all of you. Sincerely. Kay and Don Schlosser

LETTING YOU KNOW THAT YOUR THOUGHT OF ON MOTHER'S DAY.KEEPING YOU IN MY THOUGHTS AND IN MY PRAYER'S ALWAYS.

A Mother's Day Wish From Heaven

Dear Mr. Hallmark,

I am writing to you from heaven, and though it must appear
A rather strange idea, I see everything from here.
I just popped in to visit, your stores to find a card
A card of love for my mother, as this day for her is hard.

There must be some mistake I thought, every card you could imagine
Except I could not find a card, from a child who lives in heaven.
She is still a mother too, no matter where I reside
I had to leave, she understands, but oh the tears she’s cried.

I thought that if I wrote you, that you would come to know
That though I live in heaven now, I still love my mother so.
She talks with me, and dreams with me; we still share laughter too,
Memories our way of speaking now, would you see what you could do?

My mother carries me in her heart, her tears she hides from sight.
She writes poems to honor me, sometimes far into the night
She plants flowers in my garden, there my living memory dwells
She writes to other grieving parents, trying to ease their pain as well.

So you see Mr. Hallmark, though I no longer live on earth
I must find a way, to remind her of her wondrous worth
She needs to be honored, and remembered too
Just as the children of earth will do.

Thank you Mr. Hallmark, I know you’ll do your best
I have done all I can do; to you I’ll leave the rest.
Find a way to tell her, how much she means to me
Until I can do it for myself, when she joins me in eternity.

Lance, Amy, and Jazzy, LoadsaHugs to you...Savannah is always on our mind, too, and as the 2 year marker, we will celebrate her bright and beautiful life...we always felt so connected seeing the girls so close in age, similar last names, and enjoying the same things like WDW (esp the Disney Cruise.) We keep you all in our thoughts and prayers...We pray the move goes well and are thankful that Jazzy will already have friends to be with in her new school. Sweet Savannah, we'll remember you for ALWAYS~
