Chemo pill has been harder than I had remembered - fatigue, GI issues, nausea mostly.
Janna and I were able to get to Houston to see MD Anderson a few weeks ago. They have some new options to consider - one phase II trial where they are injecting tumors with virus and then the immune system is triggered to attack the tumors. Fascinating part is they can inject one site but (if the body responds) see benefit on multiple tumors throughout the body. Dr. Conley, the oncologist also ran tests on blood work to see if I am a candidate for other options with them, we are discussing those results later this week.
Getting updated imaging at Vandy in couple weeks - if we are stable we will likely continue with the chemo pill, if progressing we will pursue options at MDA.
Summer is in full swing, camps and pool time. Dog training is going well, our puppy Rosie has learned to get up on our counter…so far she has eaten half a chocolate cake, a pound of uncooked bacon, container of cookies, granola etc…but the kids love her so much it tends somehow not to matter.
