Hi Dina,

I missed stopping by on June 2nd, but I just want you to know that your precious Anthony captured my heart years ago. I still think of him especially if I see anything related to "Toy Story". What a wonderful little boy!

I still check on you and Anthony. The little guy really got into my heart. I'm glad you updated...I only check every couple of months now, and only missed your update by a day....I have 2 boys (and now a daughter)and the boys and I used to pray for Anthony every night when he was so ill..One is a year older and one is the same age as Anthony. They were all so little then. It hurts just to imagine how you must feel. I'm sorry you live with this pain every day, and yet it is probably your own private connection to him at the same time..the kind only a mother could know. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that your page is being read, and prayers are still being said for Anthony and your family.

Hey, I was out cooking on the grill and a dragon fly was out flying around me. I thought of Anthony. I just had to come by and tell you.

Holly leaves for college Thursday. The empty nest is now upon me and I'm not looking forward to it. She still plans on being a Child Life Specialist. I hope she doesn't change her mind she has already three classes towards a major in Child Development.

Sounds like the boys are keeping you all so busy. I only had two children. It really amazes me at how parents do that with so many different directions. My hat comes off to you and all other parents that have all the running.

Schools are all getting started in our area. I hope the boys like this year and do wonderful in their studies.

Hey, we had out Relay tonight. Dina, I HAVE one in college already, so dont go making old jokes! (although I am only 40 and all her friends' parents are much older :) I cant believe how long its been already, seems like we were all waiting with bated breath for Anthony updates and your sick sense of humor. I just cant believe how much time has passed, he would be 9 huh? Wow. What a damn shame

Dina how are you doing? I cant believe how long Anthonys been gone already. I have a better understanding of what you are going thru, and how lonely it is. My nephew, an only child, died last month in a horrific car accident. His 19th bday is this month and my sister is devastated and still in denial and guilt. The house is now deafeningly quiet all the time & she has no idea what to do with herself anymore. I dont know how you've been coping as long as you have, I know the other boys are a welcome distraction, but at the end of the day when all is said and done, you are still minus one. Thats got to be an unsurmountable heartache

Hi Dina, I was just thinking about you. So much time has past! I hope everything is going well with Chris and his scoliosis? It must be hard to go to CHOP. So many memories, both good and bad. We're coming to NJ Nov. 30 through Dec. 10 and I'd love to see you. Madelynn is doing so well. They said she would cap out at a third grade reading level and have to have auditory reading but she'd in advanced reading in second grade?? Sounds like she'll prove them wrong again. I don't even know why I listen to them. She has some physical delays that she's struggling with. The balance thing keeps her from riding her bike without the training wheels still and not being able to run as fast as the other kids gets her down a lot, but she's strong. She's asking a lot of questions lately that I didn't expect yet and wouldn't tell the teacher she didn't feel good until she had a 104 temp. Even then all she said was "my eyes hurt" so I think she has some underlying fear of sicknes that we have yet to deal with. Anyway, Graham just woke up so I have to run! Love to you and yours, hear and above, Mickey

Hi Dina,
Happy end of summer and best wishes for an easy transition back into the school year, and all its frenzy! I think about you and your boys often because I'm in Pottstown every work day to meet my commuter van and I'm glad to see things are going well for you. Thanks for all the fundraising you've done - those amounts are awesome! Keep filling us in on what you're up to. Love, Sue and KyGUY, etc.

Dear Dina,
Sorry I missed leaving you a message on Anthony's birthday. I "can only imagine" how difficult such days must be for you and your family. I still think of Anthony everytime I see Buzz Lightyear. As I wrote that line I heard the rain hitting my roof here in St. Louis. Guess what I thought of then....You holding the umbrella over Anthony as he rode his bike in the rain. That is a picture, an image, imprinted in my mind and on my soul forever. Such love a mother has for her child! Praying for you and blessings to you always.
Love,

yesterday much have been pretty darn hard on you. Miss your posts Dina. you were always so funny. but I know a lot of that desire for humor is gone too. i still cant believe how many kids we've befriended who arent here anymore and yet, to outsiders, they have no concept still of how many kids we are losing to cancer
