Hi guys, it has been so long. The Nelsons were just down for a visit. I got to thinking about all of you as they spoke about running into Cindy and Kim on occasions, Bing's house and bowling balls...I hope you all had a good summer. It is going by so quick. Cara and I will be in Michigan 8/16-8/23. We may have to pay you a visit toward the later end of the week. We are going to the Dells Monday - Thursday. Will be in touch...

Isaiah,
We are so happy you are doing well. We have been following your journey since Meredith's diagnosis in 2004. Thank you for sharing so much information through the years - it has been such an encouragement for so many families like ours. Sorry to hear about the shingles but glad to hear it didn't linger too long. We are thankful for that.
We wish you well and hope you have a wonderful summer. Be prepared for extremely hot weather when you come back to Duke. We had some relief today, but it has been over 100 degrees for 4 or 5 days accompanied by our usual high humidity. After watching all the flooding in the midwest on TV, I decided a little hot weather is not so bad after all. Our hearts and prayers go out to all the flood victims.

Take care and know we always send good thoughts.

Hi, Isaiah!

Sorry the snow is getting old. The sky was gray all day yesterday and Mamie's Grandmother said it felt like it might snow. The clouds really did look like they had snow in them but... well, this is Alabama and I haven't been able to make the folks down here understand how cold it has to be to snow.

Good to hear the good reports on your health and plans for vacation.

Hello Boys and family, I just visited the site and was so glad to see Christmas morning at the new house!! It was such a blessing to sell your house!! We have homes in our neighborhood still for sale for over 2 years or more. We can't wait to come and visit the new stomping grounds and see all of you. It has been a "white knuckle" driving winter for Tom and I. At the school in Lapeer, we have had 7 snow days already with more winter on the way and more possible snow days. Don't know if we have to make them up in the summer yet(we get 5). Tom's work car bit the dust so we had to get another car. We got a 2008 Toyota Corolla and I love it. Great gas mileage at 39 to 41 on the hwy. We hope all is well at your house. God is so good. I will call soon. Miss everyone. Love, Linda

Merry Christmas, all! Sounds like things are moving along in a very positive direction in Ann Arbor! Am so happy to read all of the good news. Was at a neighborhood (although we live in the "boonies") Christmas party last Sunday and learned that Todd Robert is Ann Arbor Schools' Superintendant. His mother shared this news with me when I inquired about him and his brothers. He's a Durham native, and a Duke graduate. Very bright, and very young! Be sure to meet him, and tell him you were in Durham and enrolled at the Hospital School. You can also tell him I was one of your teacher's, although I am not sure he will remember me. If you tell him that I used to live next door to his father, Bill,(his parents are divorced - I now live close to his mother! strange) then he will remember. During this time he was a teacher in Durham, and soon after, became an elementary school principal. He's married to a physician (from N.C.) and according to his mother, they have four children. Wow! So, it's a small world, huh? If he is leading the school system, you should be in great shape. He's a great leader and a smart guy. We are in desparate need of rain. It's beginning to get a little scary. Kate is here for Christmas, and Allison will be graduating in June. Pat, I have one more class and I am finished! Thank goodness I got that stupid Praxis II out of the way! Hugs, good will, and warm wishes for the Merriest Christmas and Happiest New Year ever!

Wanted to pop in for a visit, to let you know someone new is thinking of you and lifting you up in Prayer-Songs.
Isaiah, I hope your Consentration steadily improves. I know what a boog-a-bear that can be. Being filled with great ideas but no way to get them down before they flit away again!
I think it's GREAT that both you and Mishael are sewing! That's pretty neat.

Here are some Adventist contractors, remodelers, with whom you may check to work on your house: Higgins Custom Builders Inc. 248-390-5126 (Bruce Higgins may have been your Pastor at one time). Another name is Steve Krkjlus at 734-459-9755. Steve has done an extensive amount of work on our house. He works for Bruce now and may not be available for independent work. The next guy is Gerald Laslett whose number is 248-231-4188. Gerald is coming to our house today (November 12) to install a humidifier on our furnace and to redo some copper pipes on our kitchen sink. The last name is Dan Modiga. I have never seen his work but I know he does remodeling. He lives in Ann Arbor. His number is 734-422-4563. These men are all members of the Metro Church.

Great pictures and lots of adventure to read about! Sounds like things are rolling along and going well, in spite of schedule delays. It will all fall into place, so no need to worry! Enjoy the cooler days of Sept.......gotta be cooler than this hot, dry, and baked land.....and know that you are always in my thoughts! Pat, I passed the Praxis exam! Yay!
Big hugs to all,
Marshall

Hello Bingham family,

Good to hear from you. We hope you are all together as a family fulltime in your new home. We are getting ready for the first day of school tomorrow. Troy is looking forward to 6th grade as well - switching classes each period, lockers and a PE uniform! Good luck getting back in the swing of school. The house will come together in time - never soon enough - but that's part of the journey. Take Care.

Hi Everyone - Love the new pics. So, are you ready for school to start? Alex and Emily can't wait to find out who their teachers and classmates are going to be. I can't believe summer is almost over :-( Glad you guys made the most of it, but of course we wish it included a trip to CA :-) Hope to see you sometime soon!

So glad that you enjoyed camp!!! Too bad that summer is almost over, but that just brings the excitement of the new school year. Still praying here in Canada.

ps. have you ever tried Maleleuca sunscreen? It works like nothing I have ever seen before.

Pat & Isaiah-
I tried leaving a message a while back, but it wouldn't work. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed seeing you guys when you were in Durham. It did my heart good to see how great Isaiah is doing. We are all moved into the new house, so we are ready for visitors anytime. I hope things continue to go well for you guys, including your move.
Love,
Carrie

Glad to see your guestbook is working. I guess it doesn't matter whether on treatment, finishing treatment, or done treatment..... there's always another goal. I know to go from monthly labs, to every four months, etc.... is a HUGE deal!! Hope to hear of some major growing soon!! Happy 4th of July and prayers from Canada.

No doctors visits for four months??? WOW!!! Enjoy all that free time :-) Oh, maybe you can do some schoolwork in that free time and make Mom happy. Alex and Emily are going to summer school two hours a day and complaining about it daily. Enjoy camp this year and stay cool. Hugs, Jill, Steve, Alex and Emily
