Ok back to what I was saying....Things have gone terribly wrong since my mom's last update. Her CT scan on August 3 was not AT ALL what it was said to be. It was not clean and showed three different metasses. So she waited for 5 weeks before her oncology appointment in severe pain without knowledge of the cancer spreading. She saw her "former' oncologoist on Friday and was scheduled for a biopsy and scans this week. She, however, did not make it to the scheduled appointments.

On Saturday she was in such excruciating pain and her blood pressure was crashing that I forced her to go into the ER. After a very long and very rough time in the ER, she had another CT scan. We found out about 10:00 that evening that her cancer had spread everywhere. It is in her lungs, skull, bones, ribs, her remaining adrenal gland and that is just the high points, may be elsewhere but I lose track after that.

So in a five week WASTED period of time, her cancer has become very aggressive and needs to be stopped immediately.

We moved her today to MD Anderson, as we ALL believe that is the best place for her and offers her the ONLY hope.

She made it here safely and in very minimal discomfort. She brought oxygen with her and had a GOOD dose of pain meds before leaving Arlington Memorial. SHe is being triaged into the Emergency Room now and I will do MUCH better in updating from this point out. It has been a crazy week and I could REALLY go off in all that has happened, but when we walked into this hospital WE BEGAN a new ballgame with no reason to dwell on the past.

So....we could ALL use the prayers and support offered by all who visit this site. Please add her to as many prayer lists and chains as possible. She has a HARD fight before her, but we are all very hopeful it will be a successful one.

well I hope this posts..I bet you had a fun birthday..11? wow - such an awesome age. What did you do to celebrate? Nanna said you will have a swimming party in the summer..that will be a fun thing to look forward to.
I wrote this silly poem today and thought you might like to hear it.

So here it is....a silly poem for my sweet Chase..just in case you were missing them..ahha.

I was so really, really cold for, oh, so very long
It did not take a rocket scientist to know what was wrong...
The temperatures were a record and registered way below 10.
Be careful out there cause that's when you break if you bend.

But good news - today it felt like spring and was very warm!!
Should I stay inside? Or go outdoors? I was completely torn.
But I chose to go outside where I did a snappy little Jig
and then it happened - the wind went swoosh and off flew my wig!

So I rushed back inside and quickly slammed shut the door
and then I was suddenly slipping upon the snow wet floor.
I skittered from one side of the room across to the other
and as I slid I yelled, "Help - where's my mother?"

I finally fell hitting my face on the wall with quite a loud bong.
Do you know when I stood up my neck and my nose were pushed in and almost gone?
Oh, how I wish I had stayed inside and had not done that silly ole jig
Cause you know then I'd still have a neck and I would not look like a pig.

Just another silly poem with a giggle sent with lots of love for you.

Hello All!

Everyone is doing great. Last week however, first Catie then Matt, next Chase all had the flu, not fun but it was the 24 hour kind. Good news is Chase was the last one to get it so to me it shows his imunine system is so much better and stronger than a year ago..Praise God!

The only news we have is Catie lost her first tooth, she will be 6 on the 27th. This next week is our big birthday week, Chase will be 11 years old!Praise God...Thank you Lord! Carrie will be...a great Mom!LOL Catie will be 6! Wow! It's so hard to believe Chase will be 11? 11!!!
