Prayer Bears Lynn Worley <aprayerbear@gmail.com> Seattle, WA USA - Wednesday, April 30, 2008 11:13 PM CDT Hey Susan, I really can't believe it's been two years. I was thinking of Micah the other day and thought I'd write you. I continue to be thankful for your faith and trust in the LORD...what an awesome witness to His grace and faithfulness. Wow! It seems each day our investments in heaven grow. I really can't wait to see Micah one day...to tell him what his life has meant to me. I love you all, God is great in you. Erin Ohatchee, AL US - Monday, April 28, 2008 4:25 PM CDT I'm so glad I found Micah's site. We had a baby who died at 4 months old with "only" 2 in the hospital. I could relate to that bone-crushing exhaustion. Adam had a 5 year old brother, Henry who is now almost 10! We adopted our daughter Nina 18 months after Adam's death. Whenever (she is 3 and a half now) she draws a picture of our family she always includes Adam...so sweet. Prayer Bears Lynn <aprayerbear@gmail.com> Seattle, WA United States - Wednesday, March 5, 2008 11:33 PM CST Susan, Thank you so much for registering Micah on the Friend's site. Thank you also for your incredible journal entry. I don't know if you knew, but i'm in my last semester of seminary to become a Lutheran pastor. For my essay to be approved for ordination, I used Luther's concept of the hidden God. After his daughter died, he also wrote at great length about the times when God seems hidden. It is in those times people wonder whether or not God is truly present. Luther wrote about how even during the darkest and loneliest moments of our lives, God is there, whether we feel God or not. I have always found that concept to be a tremendous comfort. Please know I am keeping your family in my prayers. Never hesitate to let me know if there is anything we at the Friend's site can do for you. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. Thank you for your note and the prompting to come read again the way God continues to shape and mold your precious journey. I just love to see His reflection in your words, your life. Some certianly choose to set up camp in bitterness, as a response to pain and grief. Then there is one like you, that embraces Him instead. Oh how beautiful the heart that has resulted! Thank you for continuing to share it with us. Still praying for you too. Much Love this Valentine's Day, Allison Tripp <jtripp23@cox.net> - Thursday, February 14, 2008 6:25 AM CST We read this psalm at our Lenten service tonight. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. Sorry I've been away from the computer for a few days. Still been praying but wanted to share such special verses that remind us all that much more importantly the Holy Spirit Himself is praying for each of us perfectly according to His Will. Prayer Bears Lynn <aprayerbear@gmail.com> Seattle, WA United States - Wednesday, October 17, 2007 10:55 PM CDT Susan, Just stopping by to let you know that you all remain in our prayers. Sometimes I think that it is too bad that people can't see a broken heart like a broken leg. Noone thinks that it is time to get over a broken leg while it is still broken so how can you possibly mend your own heart. Only God can do that and only on his time. Just give God the time to heal your heart and allow yourselves the time to heal, no matter how long it takes. I love all of you. You are such an inspiration to me. I get to see the real you and I am so proud of the way you follow our Lord. Isaiah 55:8-9 says what you just said. His ways and His thoughts are higher than ours. We don't understand because His ways are perfect. Much love. Mama Linda Tamblyn <tmtlht1973@yahoo.com> Swainsboro, GA USA - Saturday, October 6, 2007 9:59 PM CDT Still missing all of you a lot! Last year we walked in our local "Light the Night" walk for children with blood cancers for Micah. This year we walked for Braden. It brings back the sweetness of the love along with the obvious sadness. However, at the walk (which John and I walked whereas last year Emily walked with me) we bumped into a teacher who had had 4 cancer treatments and was heading off for a transplant! She had been our "partner" for a bone marrow donor drive back in Aug. '05. She looked very good and said that she had been told she would never find a match. Not only did they find a near perfect match, but she will be going into this at age 44 which the docs are comfortable with. I just thought you might find that interesting:) We love you three... Anne, John, Emily and Jonathan Anne Winsauer <octobersky950@hotmail.com> Knoxville, TN U.S.A. - Friday, October 5, 2007 9:37 AM CDT Reading John and these words always touch my heart so much. Still here praying! John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. Janis <jtheuret@verizon.net> NJ - Wednesday, September 26, 2007 8:45 PM CDT Wow Susan, I have not gone through the death of a child, but I do have some of the understanding and same feelings having a terminal child who has gone through transplant. Who has the mentality of a 10 - 14 month old baby yet she is almost 4. Her 2 year old sister treats her like her baby, knows somehow that she is not capable of the same things. It hurts as a parent and in that way I grieve for the child that she is not, but I still have her. I cannot imagine your pain at not being able to see your angels little face anymore. Your message was very couragious and I couldn't agree more with what you are saying. Our total purpose in this World is Glorify God. You have been a shining light to many Doctors and other families. Let yourself greive and you are doing great, I feel like a shell of the person that I used to be and I have not gone through all that you have. Take care God bless you all and email me if there is every anything that we can do for you. I love you and you had a beautiful baby boy who is looking down on us right now. Once that year is over and the second one starts, it can hit full force that this is it. Your little one ISN'T ever coming back and with it depression can hit full force. Saying extra prayers for your family right now! And happy birthday, Matthew!!!! Some of the passages in Isaiah sound like they came from the N.T. This is one of them. Still here praying! Prayer Bears Lynn <aprayerbear@gmail.com> Seattle, WA United States - Wednesday, July 11, 2007 9:38 PM CDT Dear Susan, Travis and Matthew, It made me so happy to see that you were celebrating Micah's birthday. We will never, ever forget all of you. Simply put, we love you! And I know that puppy will too. One of the first things Emily wanted to do was get a dog. Shortly after the doctors here told her it would be O.K. we were walking downtown after church when confronted with an adorable 1 year old beagle/sheltie mix with a sign around her neck. It said, "I need a home." Of course, she had some people with her, but we could barely focus on them. This adorable, fluffy tri-color dog with "mascara" around her big beautiful eyes was more than we could resist. We had a two syllable response, "Uh,oh." We went home and convinced John that she was perfect, and what a sweetheart she has been! So, congratulations!!!
