Sarah's Story Sarah & Catie riding with the GB Packers
This is a web page for our daughter, Sarah. She was diagnosed with stage III neuroblastoma on November 1, 2002. She endured chemo and surgery. In 2004, it had come back. This time she went through: chemo, surgery, stem cell transplant and radiation. We believe that miracles do happen! Thank you for checking in on Sarah and for your prayers.
Journal
Tuesday, January 5, 2010 7:15 PM CST Today Sarah had her CT scan and bloodwork done at UW. Thank God there was no evidence of disease! Our oncologist said that today was her last scan, she has reached the 5 year mark. He said that the probability of the disease coming back is close to 0! Then he actually said what we have waited for 7 years to hear...she is cured. Of course I know there is no guarantee in life but I know we can let our guards down now, ok some:) After he said that, Sarah started to cry. Then I started. It was supposed to be a happy, celebration but we left very quiet. On the way home nobody said a word. I kept thinking of the past 7 years. Memories past by me. The good times, bad times, scarey times, stressful times. We met a lot of wonderful people and we lost too many lovely people.
Thank you everyone for following Sarah, for your prayers and support. I am just overcome by emotion right now. God bless you all, Jackie
