Zac has always been a fairly mild-mannered little boy. He was developing right on track when he was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms on December 18th, 2006 at the age of 5 months.

His last seizure was on February 27, 2007 and he has been seizure free since. Cause of the IS is still unknown.

Zac had another EEG last Friday and the great news is that it came back NORMAL. Well, close enough to normal, as the neuro said. He is no longer exhibiting any spikes in his left temporal lobe, but they did some activity in his right. However, it was so minor as to be inconclusive.

That means we proceed on our next phase of weaning. We will either go down to 125mg every other day. Or 250mg every 4th day. It all depends on how accurately we can split the 500mg sachet packets.

All in all, great news! Yay!
