Good Morning. Yesterday turned out to be such a wonderful day. I sent tons of text messages and many E-mails out to my friends and family telling them to go eat at Chili’s. My brother and sister and their family joined us last night for dinner at the Chili’s off of Camp Wisdom. There were about fifteen of us and that is just a very small part of my family. I have a very big family and they are all very supportive. Dr. Federico knows what I’m talking about when I say that my family is very big. She was once bombarded by them outside the ICU. ^^Tyler^^ was in an induced coma and things were really critical. Tim and I were in ^^Tyler’s^^ room meeting with the Doctors one of them being Dr. Federico as my family waited outside the ICU. Tim and I stayed inside with ^^Tyler^^ taking inn everything that the Doctors had just told us and Dr. Federico checked on the rest of the patients. By then my family was on pins and needles. As Dr. Federico was walking out of the ICU my mother said, “there is ^^Tyler’s^^ Doctor” and they all surrounded her. You can just imagine what Dr. Federico was thinking. She must have been really surprised when they all started walking towards her. They were a pretty big bunch! They asked her how ^^Tyler^^ was doing? She told them that she had to get our approval first before she could give them any type of information and she walked back in to see us. I still remember the look on her face and that big smile when she asked if that was all my family. She is just so sweet. I told her that they were my family and she went right out to talk to them. We love her very much. She has a very special place in my heart. My mom and dad could not join us for dinner last night because they had to drive down to south Texas for a funeral. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. It was so nice to see everyone together to support such an important cause. It really meant a lot to us. All the kids decorated a pepper with a message to ^^Tyler^^ and we got some Chili’s create-a-pepper shirts. The staff was amazing. Kevin was our waiter and he has a great memory. He took our orders and didn’t have to write anything down. This is especially hard when you have about eight kids talking at the same time. The food was delicious and the service was great. Two of the managers came out to meet us. It was so nice to talk to them. They asked us about ^^Tyler^^ and told us how nice it was to have us in their restaurant. I gave Jill ^^Tyler’s^^ website and told her that I had his pepper from last year. She asked if I could make a copy of it for them to put up on the wall. I can’t tell you how good it made me feel. It is so nice to share ^^Tyler’s^^ story with everyone. It’s nice to see how he continues to touch other people’s lives that have never met him. It helps me see that even though he is not physically here his memory, his love, his joy, his strength is still with us. This is one of the things that keep me going. I will never forget my little boy. He will be a part of me till the day that I die. And I don’t want anyone else to forget him either. Being able to share his story is my Therapy. We have such a big support group. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your love and support is so important to us and we are very grateful for it. We love you all very much!!!!!
