Joseph’s Story

Site created on April 16, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  Joe was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Hutchinson Minnesota on March 29, 2021. He was later transferred to Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park because of his condition.  Joe is in Liver and Kidney Failure.  Joe is in end stage Liver disease.  On April 14th, after 2 weeks of continuous dialysis and support to keep him alive, Joe's doctors and my parents decided it was time to remove dialysis and other life saving measures and let Joe have more comfort in his last days.  We have surrounded Joe with prayer throughout this whole ordeal and continue to do so.  We believe God is doing a mighty work in Joe and those of us surrounding him.   Joe was able to talk with us, hug us and even laugh.  In fact, that day as we were all standing by his bedside, he jested "I am not dead yet".  He brought us smiles even in that incredibly sad moment.  We all thought Joe would pass on that evening, his blood pressure was in the teens and yet he made it through the night and on the 15th, his blood pressure rebounded!!  Joe was moved last night from ICU to a more private room.  He was able to celebrate his daughter's 11th birthday a day early yesterday.  Praise God we have another day with him!! Please pray for Joe and our family.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
