BOOOOOO Dodger Fans!!
Well, didn't that game last night just stink? Blah is all i have to say to that. Rats. Are curses real? Starting to wonder about that with our Cubbies?!?!!!!!
It's FRIIIIIIIIIIIdaaaaaaaaaaaay! I hope everyone is having an incredible time this week. The weather has changed here BIGTIME!!! Jackets, hats and related items are needed! Time to shop again! With this "house fire" business, everytime i turn around there is "another thing" to purchase. Our State Farm Ins. agent said today this will be our life for the next six months. 'Get used to it', i tell myself.....this too shall pass.........
wanted to share this amazing e-mail I recieved from our Wabash College Beta Guys.....looking forward to working with them! on our agenda first? A Bone Marrow Drive on campus! Last time we did this, Indiana Blood anticipated 30-40 people max.......hahahahahaha.........in two hours our team signed up almost 240 people in our itty-bitty small town of do-gooders. First time luck? We'll see. Frankly, i don't believe in luck.....I see luck as:
Labor Under Correct Knowledge
I love these e-mails....
Mrs. Tucker,
On behalf of the brothers of the Tau Chapter of Beta Theta Pi at Wabash College, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
I had the priviledge of meeting Henry a couple years ago when he and his father stopped by the Beta house. We were told in advance that they would be having lunch with us and I was glad to finally put a face to the name.
To be honest with you I expected your son to look sad and beat up, given what he had gone through but he completely amazed me. He had the biggest smile on his face that I have ever seen. He seemed so happy and full of life. He truly was a bright light and I can speak for everyone who was there when I say, he touched and inspired all of us.
As a house we would be honored to contribute to the Henry Tucker Foundation in anyway we can. I would love to talk with you sometime about different ways we can help. Please feel free to contact me at anytime. Thank you and take care.
Sincerely,
Eric Woolf
Wow....way to turn my frown upside down! Thanks too for loving me yesterday CB!! . It was a bad day - a bad week - a bad month buuuuuuut (you knew I'd say that) it can always be worse. Life is ebbs and flows, as we know, in general. Throw in losing a child and all bets are off! My life is day to day, moment to moment and I am thankful I have been placed infront of **loving** people who really lift our spirits. I never dreamed we'd still have cb as a networking system but it works and as they say, "don't fix it - if it isn't broken". Seeing Henry's Foundation fly high has been a real **thrill ** in so many ways. Thank you to those who get it and understand our NEED to bring awareness to pediatric cancer! For those who ask, "are you going to keep doing this foundation stuff ?"
Answer: Do i really need to answer that? Get this!! We're not the only family doing incredible things.....they are everywhere, doing incredible things! Here's a little bit from another family doing big things......I hope Janelle doesn't mind!!! I read some of her stuff today - inspiring.......her Natalie Rose is something special.
"I got to smile again before bed. I thank God for allowing me to see a bigger picture, than tragedy. I thank God for the ability to shift. (Earlier, before talking to my Mama, I was bawling my eyes out, thinking what will I do on Sunday without Nat and her high fives and her hugs and her excitement that Mama is running a marathon?)I thank God for this opportunity for growth. I thank God for showing me that all I need to do is ask and my prayers are answered. Today, I trust. The Universal Source of All has graced me just for being. I am grateful."

Oh- and guess what??? Austin Mcgowan's site has been updated! Yeeeeees! We love our McGowan Crew and A-man is soon to be The Bionic Man!! Please stop by and send your prayers. Austin n Henry were bunk mates for a while and we were crammed together on the stem cell floor for transplant! We have remained friends despite Henry passing (I 've found those in remission tend to shy away from those of us who have not been so fortunate) I didn't say ALL OF THEM but it's true (in my experience) and we are blessed that the McGowan's and their following have been so kind to our family. Lots of tears and lots of laughing....lots of red wine too but that's another story! lol Please visit them and send some ^cyber-lovin^.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go now to prepare a place for you. John 14:2
I found this off another site today...it made me laugh thinking of a moment we had with our Henry before he passed. We had to have some very serious conversations with him when we brought him home to be healed before his ^^big flight^^. I will never forget to this day what happened......such sweet memories. Henry had been in Sunday school since he could remember. Soooooo, he knew about heaven, Jesus, God, Buddah, Allah. You name it, we talked about it - my hubby was a theology minor @ Wabash College (one of only 2 all male schools left in the country) and i have always been very curious about everything! It was so hard to broach but we took the "many mansions" approach, attempting to appeal to his love of lounging in the house. He did alot of that with cancer and we ALWAYS made everyday FUN and full of laughter. Anywho, i mentioned when you "arrive" in heaven, you are allowed to choose your own mansion after you walk the streets of gold and meet so many new friends.......now, Henry was very, very smart. With an inquizative tone and furrowed brow he started throwing questions at us like a DEFENSE attorney!
' can i have a hot tub'? Sure Henry! 'can i have it lined in gold?' I don't see why not dear. 'can i have taco bell and little mexico on speed dial?' Oh, i'm sure of it! 'will mimi get to visit me and i can visit her @ her mansion'? Yes, dear. 'will she make me mac n cheese with the white kind of cheese?' You better believe it, she may not leave your place for awhile, until you get settled in. 'can i take white bear?' yes dear.
And, with great Henry spirit, he threw his white bear up in the air and shouted, ' weeeeeee , white bear and i get to go to heaven and my hot tub will be lined in gold!'
Henry never had fear. He never seemed scared. He seemed to always accept his life - something we do now and somedays with not as much grace n dignity. I clinge to these memories and i share them with you today as part of our healing. Dignity. Grace. Style.
Henry had it all. I notice this with so many angel children and children who continue the fight. They are ^^special^^...... they are certainly something angelic, not of this earth and teachers to us all.
Hello cyber friends!!!!! Henry's Aunt Bobo here!
Ragball info !!!!!!
Everyone's been asking what can I do? Or I wanna play but dont have a whole team...... Here's what you can do!
A team is made up of 10 players, if you and someone you know wanna play please send your 20$ per person to 3819 Pershing Drive Lafayette, In 47905 checks payable to The Henry Tucker Fund and you willl be signed up. We will match you w/ others like you and give you a team name of Team Henry! If you are registering this way please respond to me via eamil rearl15855@aol.com by Oct 13th so we can match you w/ others, you can always pay the day of the event also, just keep in mind once you are signed up to play you must be there.
Also a reminder this is for fun, no skill is needed at all!!!! Ragball is larger than a softball and doesnt hurt when it hits you. I have not an athletic bone in my body and have played, its fun and for a great cause!!!!!!!
Also needed, donation items for our silent auction!!!!!
Do you have a special talent, can you bake???? We could use some of your goodies for our bake sale, I would really like to pass off the bake sale to someone else to take control of, perhaps someone in the c-ville area??? You could email everyone you know have them bake 1 item, put it on a plate and I could meet you the night before the event and we could sell them the day of the ragball tourney! Or you could bring them w/ you. Nothing fancy here and our bake table is always the first thing to sell out....my kids love cupcakes..hee hee!!!! Also we need other items for the actual auction, do you know someone who makes jewelry and would like to get their name out there?? How about a painting?? How about any purse connections??? You could donate products if you work at a salon.... last yr we had a lovely lady donate a beautiful quilt that went for big money!!!!!! Use your thinking caps- we all know someone who has a connection somewhere for something, how about a hotel stay somewhere? Season ticket holders give up those tickets!!!!!! The list goes on and on!!!!!!!
HELP US HELP THE KIDS!!!!!!!!
What a better way to get out there and DO something to help others in their fight!!!!!
We have so many people to thank who have already contributed, and I'll follow w/ another thank you update in the near future. Kelly Stanley of C-Ville designed our flyer for us again this yr, thank you Kelly, she is so talented and has a truely giving spirit!! Call out for other C-ville area gals and guys, last yr we had Rotten Robbies cycle shop donate a kids bike, and Sherwin Williams donated a gift certificate for paint. if someone could please go to either shop and get a donation that would be awesome, we still have our donation banner from last yr and their names are already on it!!!!! Thanks!
People are good, and want to help they just need to know how to give or how to help. This benefit is one way! we are having the blood mobile there again so you can donate blood, also the fire truck will be there for the kids to explore, plan on bringin your kids, there is a huge playground there for them to have fun!!
........ And I am making no promises, simply becasue I can't....but a little birdy told me that we may have a 'special guest' there for autograph signings and possibly a little "unplugged version" of her music......keep your fingers crossed! (American Idol's Amanda Overmeyer n her new band)!!!!!!! So Henry! and this girl is the real deal.....she floated into Henry's angel-versary party, like an angel out of no-where! Everyone gasped and i was in love when she introduced herself to Mike and i by saying, 'I'm so sorry about Henry. it would have been an honor to meet him'. What a gal......
****just a warning*****
I may be a posting fool this month. The Ragball committee has selected our two families to benefit and i see this month as an opportunity to keep moving forward. We've more than 100 sponsors..........AMAZING!!
Cheers and thax again for the pick me ups yesterday.
peace n love
