One foot in front of the other..slowly, slowly. That is how we got through our day. Grace fought tooth and nail to have to focus on reading, writing and arithmetic! Every little thing became a major distraction, delaying her from getting done what she needed to. By dinner, we were a cranky household, ready to call it a day and hopeful for a more productive tomorrow!
So far, thank God, we have dodged the stomach bug that is making its rounds. Little Matthew has had it for the past two days. It breaks my heart to see him so out of sorts. Kaitlyn has been working hard at getting settled into her new apartment and had just finished loads of laundry...including her bedding...when Matthew started puking. ... bad enough when you have a washing machine in your house but to have to head back to the laundromat and start over ...UGH...
Grandpa's funeral will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Episcopal Church in Cherry Valley. I put together a few picture boards this afternoon and printed out an 'interview' that I did with him a few years ago. I am so glad that I took the time to do that. Reading his words was a real comfort to me. I could just picture that hot, humid afternoon as if it was yesterday.
Grace was supposed to have an appointment in Boston on Friday but I've rescheduled it for the 16th. She's feeling great so I feel confident that holding off for a week won't be a problem. Blessings to everyone! Jodi
