Merry Christmas Season to Everyone!

We are all doing well, after a brief visit from the flu bug over Thanksgiving. Something we weren't thankful for I can assure you. Aaron has some how managed to stay healthy, praises here because I have now managed to get it 2 different times! Yes it is possible! Yuck!!

I updated a lot of new pictures. It seems the kids are doing really well. Izzy Cate has had such good head control lately. She is definitely motivated by certain toys and loves to see herself in the mirror on the one picture. It also has some music which she is really motivated by as well. We continue to have a pretty crazy schedule for her, but everything seems to be paying off and we are seeing small steps forward! Someone asked me the other day 'don't you get sick of driving all the time?' and my answer was 'NO'. It's the same as any other parent driving their kids to a sporting event, or music event, or academic event, or practices or whatever. As parents we just do what is best for our children. Some times its just wrapped up in different packaging. Some days of course are still better than others, but we know without a doubt that she is much smarter than we have probably been giving her credit for. I have even used the word 'spoiled' a time or two when she is having a fit! I guess they come at all ages huh? As you can tell, she is such a pretty little thing. She is still small for her size, not even registering on the growth curve, but still continuing to follow appropriately with her height, weight, and head circum. All things we keep a close eye on. We will see all of our specialists at Mayo in December and are looking forward to some more insight.

As for Cody, well as you can see he is very motivated by television and snacks! I bet I hear that word about 100 times a day. I'm not sure his metabolism will ever catch up with him. He is still just 30 pounds! And he eats like a horse. Just last night, Aaron called me at church to let Cody tell me something. Cody said, 'more soup please'. I had left them proportions that just was not enough as I headed out to my church Christmas party. One never knows huh? Needless to say there is not much that he won't try. But he definitely has his favorites. Like tacos, spaghetti, steak! And let us not forget ice cream! He is doing so well at school. We just had his IEP because he will be 5 on December 9th. And it was one of the best meetings we have had. So much information in regards to things he is accomplishing and things we can do to help him work on. The one thing that Aaron and I were very excited about is that most of everything that he does is very typical of all other kids! Go figure! We often sell him short in that category, but we are starting to see the benefits of treating Cody just like any other typical kid. Don't get me wrong, we still see how very unique he is and we wouldn't trade who God created him to be for anything!

Aaron and I are doing well. We are excited about seeing our friends the Thompsons and the Schichtenburgs on our trip to Rochester. They are very dear to us as so many of you who keep tabs on us are. We wish we could wrap up a box of hugs and send them to everyone that we know.

Remember what Christmas is truly about. We praise God for sacrificially sending us His One and Only Son to become flesh so that we could be reconciled to God! Immanuel, God With Us!

We pray that you all are enjoying the richness of this Christmas season. Whether it is decorating your home as a family, or baking all kinds of goodies together, or watching your favorite Christmas movie, and knowing every single line in the movie, or listening to your favorite Christmas CD, as loudly as you want, we hope that you are savoring all of the time that you are spending together.

Wishing everyone a wonderful and blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love, The Fites
