Hi all, another new thing for Alex, he fed himself! He keeps reaching for the fork at school, and at home, so the teacher velcroed a fork to his hand and told him to bend over to get the food off the fork which he did! Another first! On the other hand, he did not pass his physical therapy assessment this month and so I am not sure whether he is getting too much baclofen but we will have to monitor this carefully. He could not sit up very well and it could be that the catheter is located too high up in his spine so that he is getting much more medicine to his torso. We did this so he could maybe get better use of his arms and hands but the flip side might be too much to allow him to sit up. And yet his armes are bent up at the elbows towards his face as the day progresses which would mean not enough medicine. So the issue could be too much in some places and not enough in others. I guess this is where wisdom is needed, along with emails to the neurologist! I will keep you informed - Caroline
