I just wanted to post this composition that Andrew wrote for open house at school.

"My Mom" by Andrew Hamm

My Mom was not any regular person. Some people say she's and angel on Earth. Some of my friends have even told me she was like a second Mom to them. My Mom's hair was dirty blonde. It was soft and smooth. My Mom's eyes had just about every color in the human race. My Mom was short, she was "5ft. 3in". My Mom's hair was pretty long, it was down to her shoulder blades. I'm not sure what type of clothes my mMom wore.

My Mom's hobby was people. She loved to help people. Every time she saw some tragedy on the news she would make us pray about it. One time there was a teenager at a Chinese restaraunt that needed a ride home. My Mom was eating at the restraunt so she offered the girl a ride home. At the time my Mom was listening to some tapes from church. My Mom asked the girl "How are your feelings about God"? The girl said that she did not believe in him. My Mom talked to the girl and she decided she would let the girl borrow the tapes. The girl reported to my Mome, after two weeks. The girl reported my Mom she now attends a church and prays every night before she goes to bed. That is just one of the many people my Mom has helped.

In my Mom's free time she practices baseball with me. Sometimes we'd watch TV together.

My Mom worked at IBM. Most people who are reading this composition have probably heard of it. I'm not exactly sure what she did there, but I know she worked in an office.

My Mom is special to me because she would always get us to school on time and always gave us good meals. She would help me in sports. And, she always protected us no matter what.

A special memory of my Mom is when she took me to the park to play on the playground when I was a little kid. She taught me how to swing. She took me every day.

My Mom is different from many other Moms. And I'm not just saying that because she is my Mom. I'm saying it because it's the truth.
