THE JoSh PAGE!!!!! In memory of Josh Hagler 1986-2001

This page is maintained and updated to keep Josh in our hearts and minds. Josh fought an eight month battle with Ewings sarcoma, from 9-25-00 to 5-24-01 It was in his right thigh, lungs and eventully his head. He was a couragous fun loving 14 year old and he's hanging out in Heaven now with Emily and Hilary. Here is his page heading that he wrote months ago :Ayy wuz up y'all and welcome to my website. The coolest cancer patient site on the net. The site is now under new management. YOURS TRULY. So Enjoy!!!

It's been a long time since I've been here. Alot has happened over the years since Josh has been gone. I can't believe it's really been years. I still miss him and I cry occasionaly. This sounds cold, but I try NOT to think of him to often. The pain is just to great. I guess you do what you have to. I've become used to his absence. It's "normal" now. Diana is driving now and is a junior at Northwest school of the arts. She is always on the go and I miss her too. She's in rehearsal now for Hello Dolly. They will perform it at the Booth theater at Blumingthal(misspelled, I'm sure)in March. I can't wait. she is such a social butterfly. Matt on the other hand is a recluse. He stays at home. No job, No school. He plays video games. He's on a diet now and IF I could get him to exercise he just might lose some weight. I'm afraid I'm going to lose him to. I on the other hand ( if you happen to have three hands) have improved my health greatly. The last word from Duke is that I'm on the transplant list, but they hope to put off the transplant FOREVER. I've lost about 71 pounds since the heart attack, cut out salt and now I'm living a relatively "normal" life. I've been able to do about everything I want to do lately. I've rejoined the Narroway cast in Fort Mill (it's a Christian group that puts on the life of Christ plays in the old PTL arena) We are doing a Dinner theater now called Twenty Years Ago. Great show. You should see it! Well, I spent a lot of time at the beach last summer and THIS summer, I'm going to go parasailing for sure!. I also went on a youth mission trip this summer call Carolina Cross Connection. Guys, I learned how to build a PORCH!I'm going back this summer, but Diana says I can't go with her! Can you believe she doesn't want her mother with her for a week in the mountains? Teenagers! I've got Steve on the diet too. I hope to get him out of heart attack danger. Yesterday the Charlotte Observer printed an article about Josh. It was about how he wanted to start the Room in the Inn ministry at our church. I think it turned out well. If you go to the Observer web site, maybe you can see it. WEll,
that's about it. I hope to post sooner than years next time, but I don't come by to often. The pain you know. Thanks for caring..Jill
