~~February 19th, 1995 to August 28th, 2005~~
Welcome to Colin's website. Colin was diagnosed in 3-02 with a malignant brain tumor called medulloblastoma. He had surgery to remove 95% of the tumor followed by 31 radiation treatments to the spine and head and 48 weeks of chemotherapy. He had been off treatments since July of 03, and had relapsed on 5-27-04 with multiple tumors on his brain and spine. We tried a new oral chemo and he had remained stable until we found out on June 18th of 2005 that once again the cancer has spread. He has since had more seizure episodes which led to another mri in August which showed that there was a small amount of further growth of the cancer. On August 28th, 2005 at 3:15 pm Colin went into the arms of Jesus and smiled once again. We will never forget him or the lessons he taught us. We miss him dearly.

Journal
Thursday, August 28, 2008 9:20 AM CDT You haven't physically been in our presence for 3 years. Still, know this, my son: --You will ALWAYS be my first-born son. --You will ALWAYS be my most adventurous, creative, funniest child. --You will Always be Sam's older brother, the big brother that Sam looks up to, always. --You will always be a grandson, a cousin, a nephew, and a friend. --You will always be so strong in our hearts that it is as if you just left yesterday. --You will always help to keep my faith strong. Without it I know I will not see you again. --You will always hold a place in my SOUL that cannot EVER be filled...it's your special place. --You will always and forever be a true hero to everyone here that knew you. You are the definition of inspiration and love. --You will always bring tears to my eyes at the very thought of you. I won't let those tears go away because with that heavy pain and grief, you live strongest in me.
YOU WILL AlWAYS NO MATTER WHAT, BE OUR COLIN. JUST BECAUSE TIME PASSES DOESN'T TAKE THAT AWAY AND NEVER, EVER WILL. YOU ARE NOT GONE, OF THAT I'M SURE. YOU'RE JUST TAKING A HEAD START TO THE PLACE THAT WE WILL ALL EVENTUALLY GATHER AT. WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE...I WILL IMAGINE THIS, MY SWEET SWEET BOY, CREATING THE PICTURE IN MY HEAD OF THE JOY AND PURE HAPPINESS AND THEN I WILL REMEMBER THAT WHAT I CAN IMAGINE ABOUT IT IS ONLY A TINY FRACTION OF HOW WONDERFUL IT WILL REALLY BE.
A Candle is lit for you....I hope you see it buddy.
Love, Mom, Dad, and that pesky brother Sam
