On March 11,2005 Casey was diagnosed with a grape-fruit size mask over is heart and wind pipe which was smothering him and causeing difficulty in breathing. He was sent to St. Jude in Memphis Tenn where he was later diagnosed with limphoblastic limphoma which is in its third stage and non-hodsgkins. We the family ask that you pray for him and hope for a full recovery where he can come home soon. There is a fund opened for Casey at Citizens Bank in Minden on the Homer Road in Casey's name for donations. Thank you all!!!! Rick

It has been a while since I wrote. I have heard about little Ethan and I send my deepest regards to his family. I know, not as a parent but as a sibling, how tough it is. We will just keep them all in our prayers. Well, I do not remember the last time I updated but Casey's 19th birthday just went by. Does not seem like it should be that long ago. Well, I hope everyone is doing well and do not forget to show support for the American Cancer Society. If I do not have to work I plan on being there. My aunt that passed away in July from cance got help from them and I know Casey and her would want me to carry one their memory and remember them as survivors because they beat their cancer, not the way we wanted but the way it ended up being. Well I am going to go lets not forget about the Powell family in our prayers and I will try to update again soon.
