Shelby Renee
***Upcoming fundraiser ***
3rd Annual Cosmic Bowl fundraiser, please read journal entry for more details...

At 10 1/2 weeks old, Shelby was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare liver disease that affects newborns. She was on the waiting list for a liver transplant from October 2003 - June 2005, but now has stabilized enough to be removed from the list temporarily. Her doctors agree that a liver transplant is still in her future, but they're very happy with how well she is doing now.

In November 2003 a fundraising campaign kicked off to help ensure that there are adequate funds to pay for Shelby's mounting medical bills. We have a goal of $100,000! So far, just about $60,000 has been raised thanks to the efforts of our wonderful volunteers. Please check back often for information on upcoming events...
