Hello to all. I am finally giving you a update on our sweet girl. Karlee is doing wonderful. We just dropped her off for camp at Camp Hole in the wall for 1 week. She just loves it there so much! She is done with school and is moving up to the 4th grade and she recieved a wonderful report card. She is excited to have her teacher for next year. The teacher she is going to have has gone threw chemo also. She had breast cancer and is doing wonderful. Also Karlee went over the girl scout bridge, meaning she has moved up. She is no longer a brownie. She is now a jr. She loves the thought of getting bigger. She reminds me all the time that she is going to be 2 digits meaning she is gonna be 10 years. She is very wonderful.She can be grumpy and bossy but that's a girl for you. I thank god everyday for her. Thank you so much for always keeping her in your prayers I do believe that is what has kept her safe. Hope this entry finds you all well. Enjoy your summer. We are enjoying camping. Karlee's daddy bought us all a brand new camper and we are very much loving it. She loves to go to the camp ground and play and swim and do crafts. Hello everyone. Hope this finds you all well. Karlee is doing wonderful. We just went for 6 month check up and Dr. Altman couldn't believe how much she has grown. She is very tall. She just joined gymnastics the other day. She had her first lesson and she was complaining her muscles hurt. She really did like it. She also is still doing girlscouts. We are on vaccation this next week and she and her very best friend Mary will be inseperatable. Those two are always together. If Mary isen't sleeping her Karlee is sleeping over there. Karlee has been off of Chemo for 3 1/2 years and sometimes I think how long it's been but let me tell ya, going to that hospital really floods my mind with so many memories. One of our very good friends Ibeth is exspecting a baby in Sept. Her little girl Ali is doing wonderful and she is excited to have a new baby. Thanks for still checking on Karlee. Hello everyone, I am so sorry I haven't updated our page in so long. Karlee is doing so wonderful. She had a very full summer at the campground.She made so many friends and did lots of swimming. She is now getting back in the swing of things. She is in the third grade and she loves her teather. She says "hey Mom" (ALL GROWN UP) I don't have homework, "but your do..." then laughs... Little stinker, I tell her that's not fair you go to school and I get homework. What a deal. She is a very beautiful, independant, loving, caring, gentle, sometimes very stubborn young lady now. Sometimes she wants things her way and there is no winning. But the other 99 f the time she is just wonderful. She is truely a blessing. We are very thankful for her and all our kids. She is returning to girlscouts again, and also going to play basketball again. She wanted to do cheerleading but the league she would have cheered on would have been a different group from Nick and that would make us all at the field all day. First for her then for him and I wasen't that crazy. We have a pretty full scedule with Nick having football 3 nights a week and games on Sunday. Basketball will be going when football is over so I can give each kid their own attention and not feel torn. I know I won't be able to do this always but for now it works. Happy Holidays! Hope this entry finds you well. We are doing wonderful. Karlee-Ann went for her 3 month check up and she is doing great. She has been off of chemo for 2 years. Her Anniversary is November 11th. She is getting so tall. Her hair is getting so long. She joined girlscouts. She is a little brownie. Her best friend is in it with her. We went to a girlscouts Christmas party on Tuesday. Karlee is in 2cd grade and loving school. It looks like she loves Math. Santa told me he is bringing Karleee a new bike because she is to big for other one. In January she is going to try basketball. On Feb 25th Karlee is turning 8! Can you belive it. Time is flying. Hello Everyone,
Well we are doing great. Karlee is getting so big. She is enjoying fishing and camping and is counting the days till school is out and also counting the days till she goes to Camp Hole In the Wall. 33 to be exact.We went camping this weekend and she would get up and go fishing all by herself. I would say don't you want to eat breakfast first? "Nope Mom I'm going fishin" She really is getting so big. She isen't doing any sports right now. She is just happy with watching Nick play baseball and me softball. She may want to try something in the fall. Not sure what yet. I am going to try to get some new pictures on here for you. Hello everyone, I'm sorry that I haven't written in so long. We are doing wonderful. Karlee-Ann is getting so big. She has so many wonderful things going on in her life. Some of the things are that Karlee is going to be in her auntie Crystal's wedding this weekend. She is going to be the flower girl. We bought her the new Nikki bear and she got a wedding dress for her so Nikki will be in the wedding also. Also Karlee got excepted to Camp Hole in the wall. She is so excited. She is a little nervous that she is going to be going with out Nick for a whole week and I know that her hardest time will be when it's time for bed. We plan to pack her lots of things that make her feel close to home. Nick is hopeing to be able to go to sibling week. Jamie and I went to parent clean up last weekend. It was fun and it felt good to be able to help out. Well I want to wish all you mom's out there a Happy Mother's Day. Hope you had a good one. I had a wonderful one. Nick and Karlee made me cards that made me CRY! Nick got me a nightgown and Karlee got me a braclet and Tito got me some perfume. Jamie got me a lawn peice and it's a bear holding a welcome sign and a I asked for a lawn mower and he got me that and a weed wacker. I enjoy working in the yard so these gifts made me very happy. Hello everyone, I am writing to you from TN. We are at grammies house and have been here for almost 2 weeks. We are having so much fun. We miss Daddy and Maxx so much thou. Karlee is feeling great. she is doing tons of swimming and jumping on the trampoline. We went to hershey park on our way here and I am going to try to put some new pictures on when I get done updateing you'all. That's Tenn. talk you'all...haha. anyway Hershey was so much fun. We also went to sixflags in Washington D.C. We also went Ruby Falls in Georgia and Rock City. I don't have the pictures for those last few but I do have some from hershey. they are so cute. Well,miss Karlee learned how to do a complete flip under water in grammies pool. she is so proud. I am so nervious. She is getting so big. I bought her a book bag yesterday for her. She said this bag mommy will be perfict for 1st grade. hello everyone, sorry it's been a while. We are doing great. Karlee is getting so big. she is getting excited about the summer vaccation. She doesn't know it but when we go on our trip to TN to be with grammie we are going to stop at Hershey Park, and Six Flags. The kids have no idea. it's gonna be so much fun. Anyway, Karlee has now become a pro at riding her bike. she can stop and turn and she is soo proud. We are also. Today we spent the day with baby Ali. she is doing great and man is she big. The girls played so well together. Karlee is like a mother hen... she is so good with Ali and she helps her so much. Let me tell you somehting funny Karlee said to me the other day... "mom did you see that car?" "it was like from the 90's" I almost died. Like she knows when the 90's where and like that was sooo old. If she only knew she she was born in the 90's...:)well, we are gonna go and we will talk to you all soon. we are due to go to the hospital on the 23 I believe for a check up. Hello everyone, sorry it's been so long sence I have updated Karlee's Journal. Karlee-Ann is doing wonderful. She just finished another season of Tee-ball and loved it and she had so much fun. She is getting so big. Grammie got us a new digital camera and I am going to read on how to download some new photo's to show you. I took some of her today all dressed up for a birthday party she and nick went to. They had so much fun. She went down the inflatable water slide and was so happy. She has been dressing up alot to go to school. lots of pretty dresses. I asked her if she had a boyfriend of something and she said noooo. she just loves to look beautiful. which is fine with me because I know this dress fase will end and she wont want to wear them any more. so I'm enjoying this while I can. well that's all for now and I will try to get some new photo's on here real soon. god bless ~ Tina and Karlee and the gang

Hello everyone, well I'm sorry I haven't written in so long. Things are great. We are going to visit Dr. Altman tomorrow. Karlee is feeling wonderful. She started tee-ball and she is loving it. I am couching again this year.I also am playing softball and Nick is playing baseball so you can see we are so busy. Karlee is doing great in school. The school said that maybe she may be requested to go to summer school but we are not going to send her. We will work very hard with her this summer. We do extra work with her now as it is. I have a recent picture of Karlee to put on here but I haven't figured out how to turn it because it comes out sideways.:) Once I figure it out I will but it on so you can see how much she has grown and how cute she looks in her tee ball outfit. take care and we will probley update in about a month ok. god bless~Love Tina and Karlee-Ann and the gang

Hello everyone today is Karlee's daddy's birthday. we are all good. Karlee is really learning how to ride her bike with out training wheels. she is doing so good. we bought her new bike. I am adding a new photo to her page. So after you read this you will have to go see her new pictures. Karlee went to see Dr. Altman and she is doing great. her wbc is a little low, and so is her platletts but the dr's aren't worried. she is fighting a little cold. she had a small earache but that's gone now. well that's all for now and we will talk to you all soon

Hello everyone, we are writing to you from Canada. We are at Karlee`s godfathers house. This is her first visit to canada. We had a wonderful time on our Disney Cruise. Karlee celebrated her 6th birthday on the ship.We did so much. we went swimming in the Mickey Mouse pool and swimming in the very blue water on the bahamma island. We went to Cast away Key. We went from one extreme to another. we went from 70 degree`s to -20 degree`s. Here there is sooooo much snow. we would loose Karlee in a snow bank. they can`t even open their back door! well, we will talk to you soon. take care and god bless, Karlee and the gang

hello everyone, hope this journel entry finds you all well. we are doing great. guess what? Karlee-Ann lost her first tooth. I am putting a picture of her with her missing tooth on here for you. I also put some other pictures on here for you. we are getting ready for our trip. we leave on the 22cd. Karlee wants to learn more about girl scouts. we are going to a tea party with the girlscouts to get more information this Sat. She would be a daisy. How cute hu? we shall see what the schedule is like. we are also getting ready for her birthday party. we are having it a little early but thats so we are not going crazy just before our trip. we are going bowling for her birthday. hello everyone, we are good. we went to see disney on Ice and it was a beatiful show. we also were able to meet Mickey and Minney Mouse. We took pictures with then. Karlee-Ann invited Mickey and Minney to come home with us in our truck. she told them we have enough room our truck is BIG! Other then that things are good. Days are passing so quick. Karlee-Ann is playing the Cat and the hat playstation game. Hello to all! HAPPY NEW YEAR! hope your new year was nice and safe and healthy of course. Unfortantly we did not go to cananda. Poppy (karlee's grandpa) who was driving us didn't feel up to the long trip. It wasen't to long ago he had a 5 bypass surgery, so we understand. He said he wasent up for the long drive both ways. so we stayed home and had a quiet new year. We snored our new year in:) we were in bed by 10. Oh well, the new year came even with us sleeping right. Jamie had to work like always. we don't complain we do get to have him off of work for christmas. so can't complain. Karlee-Ann is doing great. she did get oh so spoiled for christmas. Imagine that!Anyone that knows this family well enough knows that the kids always get so spoiled. Oh well. Anyway we did our toy drive for CCMC and it was a great turnout. Many different things and just a few duplicates. I think it's so wonderful how the employee's give every year and don't even think twice about it. Well, what else can I let you know... Ummm... Oh our dog Maxx is turning one on Jan 9th. Also on Jan 9th we are going to see Mickey on Ice. Karlee don't know. it's a secret. Hello to you all. Hope this finds you well. We are doing great. Guess what Karlee-Ann got yesterday? A HAIR CUT! her grandma gave her a small hair cut to clean up all the ends and her bangs. It looks sooo cute. she looks like she has a bob. She actually has a hair due for the first time in so many years. I do believe this was only her second hair cut in all her life! that amazes me how we take for granted the small stuff. ya know. My Nick has has had countless hair cuts. Geez he even asks us to shave his his head. He loves to be bald. Anyway, we want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I will try to write to you before we go to canada. We are going to Canada for the New Year. Karlee-Ann has never been. I sure am loving all these firsts for her. Hello everyone, hope this update finds you all well. We are doing wonderful. Karlee-Ann feels great. (Knock on wood):) She is doing well with not having the port. She did get a stomach bug that lasted 2 days but she was back to normal in no time. We went to a christmas party from the hospital at the Air meusum. that was so much fun. we did get to see Karlee-Ann's best friend Ronald Mc Donald again and we showed him the picture from last year. He thought that was cool. We also were able to see people we never get to see anymore. We miss our friends. All the kids are growing so much. They are getting so tall. Yesterday we went to a party at the radiation therepy building(gray center). It was alot of fun. It was sad also because we went singing carols to the people who were in the hospital. Even thou we knew we were making them happy it was sad to know this may be there last christmas. We let Nick stay home from school and go with us. He had so much fun. Karlee-Ann recieved a Hello Kitty bookbag. It was filled with all kinds of Hello Kitty stuff. A wallet,bandaid holder with hello kitty bandaids, a brush, a jewerly box,a coffee cup for her milk:)
she was so happy. It also had a very soft,cute hello kitty for Karlee to sleep with. I swear she sleeps with more babies. It's a wonder there is room in her bed for her. Good thing she isen't in a toddler bed or she would have to sleep on the floor. Well, we are excited for christmas. the kids are counting the days. Hello everyone. Well, My girl is port free. She is so happy. she was dancing it's gone, it's gone yippy it's gone. she did wonderful. We went to build a bear and put a voice box in Rozie and also bought her a new outfit for Rozie. Then we headed over to CCMC and we danced to band of gentle man playing christmas music. We sure did have fun with Amanda. Then we headed to the 3rd floor and she was off. Everything ran on time actually a little early. So, we are moving on and things are great and looking up. We had a wonderful thanksgiving. We hope yours was great. Now we are doing the mad rush to get the last perfict gift. It's fun going shopping. Hello everyone, we are doing wonderful. Karlee-Ann is feeling wonderful. She is running circles around us. She is going to have her port taken out on Dec 2, 2003. She is taking bactrim now and will continue for 6 months. We just found out that we are going to see Disney on Ice in Jan. Karlee doesn't know we are going. I am going to surprize her. She is going to love it. I have been trying to bring her for 4 years and her counts were always to low. This should get Karlee really ready for out trip in February. We wanted to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for.

HELLO EVERYONE!
KARLEE'S TESTS CAME BACK ALL CLEAN!
WE ARE SO THANKFUL!Thank you to all who kept praying so stronge for Karlee-Ann it has made the difference. Now we will be done with chemo. although we will have to still go on Monday for antibodies, the nurse said that it is common for a child that has needed antibodies in the past to sometimes need them for as much as once a month for 6 months after treatment because she needs the extra help building her system up. she is allowed to take vitamins now so I am gonna get her Flenstones or something cute and yummy and good for her and Nick. she is happy to be done and we made about 1,000 calles last night. we got the news around 4:15 yesterday afternoon.

hi everyone,I'm so sorry it's been so long sence I've written. We are doing wonderful. Tommorrow is suppose to be Karlee-Ann's LAST CHEMO. she has to go for a spinal and bonemerrow test next Tuesday. We are holding our breath. we are nervious but who isen't when they reach this point and beyond. Karlee is doing wonderful she is lovimg school and finished cheerleading. we are taking a break but maybe some kind of dance or gymnastics. we will be in touch when we get the big news next week. keep your fingers crossed.

Hello everyone,
Well, hope this journal entry finds you all well. we are doing wonderful. Karlee-Ann is feeling wonderful. We went for her last dose of Methotrextate. We have 4 more treatments left. This is also her last week of 6mp. I want to shout it from the roof tops but I'm afraid. We have been this close before. I know she will be OK but I can't help be scarred. Well, Karlee is still doing cheerleading. Her cheerleading has recently helped me. You say how is that? well, we were playing UPWORDS and karlee whispers to me
"mommy, here's a word S-U-C-C-E-S-S" she is so funny. she is writing so much. she writes everyone's phone number down in her diary. then she knows who is what and she calls them. she loves to dial the phone. she loves talking on the phone. Kid after my own heart. Like mother, Like daughter
nothing wronge with that. Karlee says when cheerleading is over she would like to take up a dance class. don't know which kind yet. we shall see what Ms. princess wants to do. Other then that not much else to report.
we are praying for Jessica she is sick with phenomia. also this month we are remembering our dear friend Laura. her sweet 16th birthday would be this month and we are sending her a message in a balloon to her in heaven on her birthday Oct. 20th. we miss her so much. everyone take care and god bless~Tina and Karlee-Ann and the gang.

hello everyone, well things are well with us. Karlee-Ann enjoyed her first few days of school. she really thinks it's great that she is going to her brother Nick's school. she had no problem going on the big bus. she also thinks that it's great that her first few days of school and I got homework! Ya know, emergency cards, and lunch forms. for the first few days she was only going for a 1/2 day and on Wednesday she starts to go for a full day. she is going to miss school tom. because she is getting chemo tom. her hemoglobin was a little low we were afraid she might need a blood transfussion but she seems to be fine. i am going to try to get some new pictures on her in a few minutes. take care and hope you all are doing good. hello everyone, hope this finds you all well.we are doing great. we celebrated Nick's 9th birthday the other day. it was a great day. we a magician come and he also had one of those moonwalk jumpy things. it was great. the weather held out nice for us. everyone had tons of fun. I can't believe it, he is 9. man where does the time go. As for ms. Karlee-Ann, she had a wonderful time on the jumping thing. we also had a very awsome visit from my dad and mom that live in upstate NY. we went camping in their camper and we toasted marshmellows. it was great visiting with them. we have been keeping these kids so busy. between going swimming and camping and movies. Today we are going to Lake compounce which for the ones that arent formilur with it it's a amusement park. we are going today because it's my husband's work picnic. they always do it somewhere cool. it's been at six flags for years. they are trying something new. we are going to have fun. karlee is not afraid of any rides. she is like mommy we both love the rollercosters. well I will keep in touch. School starts on the 27 for my kids. Karlee is excited. hello everyone, well we are home from Martha's Vindyard. we had so much fun. Karlee went to the beach and she went and played mini golf and she went fishing w/ her daddy and nick. we all had a good time and when all the kids were in bed we parents sat around and shot the breeze. Please pray for Karlee's Poppy. he is going for triple bypass surgery on Monday. we hope everything will be ok. I am going to see about some new pictures for you all to see. So for those who want to know what a windham child is it means that she is representing windham ( which is the the county we live in) and the gentle men who is swimming is raising money for all the diffent countys and so when he comes threw swimming we are going to welcome him and Karlee will be the one he is swimming for. this money is to take care of her and put away for collage and hopefully a wedding and what ever she wants or needs.I don't mean a stop at fashion bug.heheh....I say I need this or that. she is going to be just like me. she don't want this she needs it....heheheh... I'm teaching her well. Anyway we got info the other day that is so wonderful. Karlee has been granted a second wish because of her relapse. we went threw the Marty Lyons foundation and they have approved her wish to go on a disney cruise. we have decided to go for her 6th birthday which is February 25. she is going to have her birthday with Mickey and they said we will get to have meals with the characters. she is very excited. hey everyone, hope your summer is going good. ours is great. we had so much fun at camp sunshine and now we are looking forward to going to martha's vindyard. I have been keeping these kids so busy. everyday we go some where and swim. I am finally getting some color.today we have to go for vancristine shot. it's a very quick visit at the hospital. we do this for 6 weeks. karlee is doing great. she is learing how to swim real well. and she also is learing how to ride her scooter we got her at a tag sale. she loves that thing. hey everyone, I write to you from Camp Sunshine. we are doing wonderful. we are having tons of fun.we are so busy and play so hard. we went swimming today and we had a talet show last nite and Karlee and Ali sang "head, sholders, knee's and toes" so cute and the other night we had a masqurade party and Karlee dressed up like Jane from Tarzan then she switched to Buzz Lightyear. last night she was a elephant. can you tell we are having so much fun. Hello everyone, how are you? we are good. we went to Allie's 2cd birthday on Sunday. She is getting so big. I added a new picture to Karlee's photo album. So check it out. we are good. Karlee and I went to CCMC yesterday and she got Cytoxin and vancristine push. WEll, I asked the big question to Carol our nurse yesterday. I am afraid to even know but if our prayers are answered and my sweet little girls body behaves it's self Karlee will be done with her 2cd two year treatment in about 22 weeks. I do have to say I feel safer this time. I don't have resurvations like I did last time. I had all these hidden secret scarry feelings last time that I kept trying to egnore. Realty hit Aug 6th 2001 and now again we are approching the top of the hill per say or end of the tunnel and I am scared but like I said I do feel better this time around. No one can say Mother's intution doesn't count because MAN us mom's know our kids. well anyway we are getting water logged with all this rain. we want to see Mr. Sun. Hello everyone, I am so sorry that I haven't kept in touch. We have been so busy. I feel so bad leaving you all wondering what's going on with Karlee. she is doing great. she is keeping me so busy. she is loving her swimming classes and getting so good. she is doing good at teeball. she is also getting more hair. I enrolled her into kindergarten and she is so excited and the school is excited to be getting her. Yesterday we went on a field trip to Mystic aqurium. she thought all the fish and sharks were so neat. she was very tired from the cytoxin she had gotten the day before. she slept for 4 hours yesterday. so of course at 10pm she was wide awake. we were eating nacho's at 12am. As for our new puppy she is really teaching him tons of stuff like come and sit and laydown. he really listens to her real good. well that's all for now. we are going to PA in a few weeks to meet our new baby cousin Daniel. he is getting christened and Jamie and I are going to be his god parents. we are excited for our trip. I am going to work on getting some new pictures on here today. we went fishing yesterday and Karlee and nick both cought a punkin seed. Hey everyone, So sorry it's bee so long sence I have written. I have been running flat out with barely any time to breath. I have signed the kids up for so much and now I am soooo busy. Karlee is loving Tee ball. she is having so much fun. she is collecting money for her walk a thon. She is almost at her goal of 300$ and if she does it she will get a new bike from the league. she will get to pick it out. Her daddy is going to bring it to work. she will be all set. we have to hand it in on sat... geez. the kids are loving swimming. I am going to try to take a picture of them on the digital cam so I can put it on here. it's kinda dark in there so I don't know if it will work. I will try. so guess what. I have some wonderful news. On Wednesday I got a wonderful call from Hole in the wall. we are going to Mothers' day weekend. we had so much fun last year. Our friend Ibeth and baby Alli can go too. we are sad that James can't go because he has to work. now that he is landscaping he has to do that when it's nice out. Karlee is so excited. I don't know who was more excited her or me. I was jumping up and down and doing the happy dance. that place is so wonderful. I think I'm gonna let Karlee do the zip line. she did go on a hudge ride at at carnival that I didn't think she could do but she said she wanted to and she went on it 4 times. I couldn't believe it. she is a daredevel. hello everyone, well everything is good here. my grammie is coming to visit us on Sunday and staying a few days. I can't wait to see her and the kids. I bet the kids have grown so much. grammie bought me a new laptop and digital camera. I love them. this laptop is beautiful and it works so great. Karlee is so happy because she can play all the games she has waited to so long to play. Heather made the kids tons of games and they couldn't play them. tonight they played Tonka construction and they loved it. tomorrow they are going to try Lego Island. both games heather made them. karlee loves the blues clues and author's birthday and winnie the pooh reading. she is so good at running this laptop. she is almost better at it then ME how funny hu? she got her chemo tuesday. she is due to go back this coming tuesday also for same thing. I'm gonna have her daddy bring her so I can spend lots of time with grammie. well Maxx is great. he is getting big he went from 11 pds to 16. he went to the vet today. Karlee brought him to the doggie doctor. he had to get 2 shots. she said he cried. she said it was so sad. well that's all for now. be on the look out for new pictures. grammie is going to help me when she gets here. hello everyone,well we are good. Karlee is feeling great and loving school. her platletts have been low for a few weeks so she hasen't gotten chemo. I hope that they are up enough this comming week because I hate all this delay. it just makes the finish line that much further. I also worry when she isen't getting chemo and she should be. she is loving our puppy. she is a little drill sargent. she tells him leave it or come or down. so funny. and when he does something cute she sounds so cute when she says "awww". I am thinking about signing her up for swimming. hello everyone, well Karlee's party was wonderful. Snow White was a hit. Everyone got dressed up. Even my mom Ibeth, my sister Karen and myself. we had so much fun. the little one got their nails painted and body glitter and make up. then she loved the cake my friend Carol made her. she made her a barbie cake. we had tons of fun and tons of friends. she got so many beautiful gifts. Tom. is her real birthday. I didn't take down the streamers or the sign that says happy birthday that Ibeth and I made. hello everyone, well things are ok here. Karlee-Ann is wonderful of course. she is loving school. she loved getting all those valentines. she has also been getting so much mail at her p.o. box she is in her glory.. so funny I made cupcakes for her class and she frosted them with pink frosting and then decorated them with tons of valentine deco. she thought that was the greatest thing. we are now working on her birthday. she doesn't know this but we are having a princess party for her before her family party. I have invited 6 girls and a real live princess will come and play games and do body art and paint their nails. I am going to provide the goodie bags and she will hand them out and we have little gold crowns. all the girls are wearing their dress up clothes when they come.this is going to be great. and then after our whole family and tons of friends are coming. I am making this such a big deal because every year she has been sick on her birthday except her first one. this year she wont be throwing up or on or getting off of decodron so she wont be misrable. it's going to be great. my friend Carol is making her a 3 story barbie cake. she made it for her daughter only small it was wonderful.

Hello everyone, sorry it's been a while sence I have updated Karlee's page. My computer died so I had to fix another one so I would have something to use. well everything is good. Karlee feels great and her counts are high. we did visit the ER on sunday because she had a fever and a stomach bug, we didnt' have to stay we got tylenol and a 24 hour antibiotic and we were on our way home. she feels great now. she is enjoying school. things are great. Karlee recieved her Make a child smile quilt. It is breath takeing. Good morning everyone, hope this finds you all well. we are doing wonderful. the weight is off our shoulders and we feel so relieved. James brought Karlee to get chemo yesterday and even thou it was going to be long day he was just so thankful we had to go and it was the same protocol. As for the few abnormal cells that they found Dr. Altman said because it was fewer then last week the lab isen't worried and he said that bonemerrow goes threw so much tramma that that is probley what it is. he said he will check it again next month. that will be another day we hold our breath for 2 days. Karlee-Ann looks great and is moving fast. Man I can't keep up with her. I'm not complaing at all. Our puppy is going to be a male and we are going to name it Max. Karlee wants a girl but we (james and I) want a boy because we know it will be a better dog and meater. I don't want a skinny dog:) If it would of been a girl she was going to name it Darlin after her favorite stuffed dog she has. she doesen't go anywhere with out it. she has woke me up screaming and I go in her room and she is in a frantic panic because she can't find Darlin:)she is a trip. Our dog is a wired hair griffon. very cute. I wanted to paste a picture of one to here but my computer isen't cooperating. Oh well. well we go back to the hospital next thursday. she is getting vincristine and cytoxin and then 6mp for six weeks. Also we regret to say our chemo angel can no longer be Karlee-Ann chemo angel. she has to care for her parents. I do understand. Miss Marjorie we will miss you very much. hello everyone, we wanted to let you know that our sweet angel is fine. Thank god. The dr. gave us the good news around 2:30 this afternoon. thank you so much for all your prayers and thinking of us. Hello everyone, well we are one week sence our friend Laura got her angel wings. we have been thinking of her alot. Her funeral was so sad but very beautiful. If that's possible. I never cried so much. I am praying for her family most of all her mom and sister. Well Karlee-Ann is good. She does have a little cough. Dr. Altman called and informed us that Karlee had some abnormalities in her bonemerrow. what does that mean we don't know. we are praying it's not blasts. we hope it's nothing. as you can imagine we are so scared. I cry every minute that I'm not busy, wondering what our sweet girl has in her future. we need to go for another bonemerrow on tuesday and we should have the results if she is ok or if the cancer has returned by wednesday. please everyone pray for our Karlee-Ann. I will try to get online and let you know what happens. she needs all your prayers. she hasen't gone to school because her counts are to low. HOpefully they are going up. we will find that out tomorrow. Tomorrow is my birthday and all i want is for Dr. Altman to tell me Karlee-Ann is ok. take care and we are now praying for Karlee-Ann and our friend Kate. Hello everyone. How is everyone doing on there Christmas shopping and wrapping. I am a little more then half done.Well, Karlee went to school and she went on the bus all by herself and she didn't cry. we did... poor kid the first day she was suppose to go on the bus they bus driver stopped at our house and Karlee went to get on and the driver told her afternoon classes were canceled because of an ice storm that was coming in. She has missed more school because of the weather. poor kid. she is going to the hospital for methotrextate shot and then if she gets home in time she is going on the bus. she loves school. i got a picture of her with her teacher and with her on the bus. she said the first day that she showed all her classmates that she was bold and they were fine with it. and when she left they all said bye Karlee. it was so cute. she was like releaved that they excepted her. I was happy that she didn't wait to do it just got it over with. I was worried how the kids would do. but like everyone you get use to it and you learn not to notice she don't have hair. it's slowly going in. she has a wopping 10 little pieces growing. hahah oh well it's only hair. she feels great her ANC is over 4000!she is very hyper and full of so they say piss and vinager. I'm not complaining. we are going to visit my family in NY after Christmas. we haven't been there in years. I have a favor. Please start a pray chain for my dear Laura Santiago and her mom Joanne and Joelle her sister. Hello everyone, sorry it's been so long
sence I updated. We have been so busy.
Well, we have lots of things going on. We have
the best news. Karlee-Ann is going to start
pre-school. She will go and meet her teacher
on Monday. On Tuesday she will not go to school
because she has to go to CCMC for chemo. On Wednesday
will be her first day of school. She is going to take
a bus and everything. James and I will go in the car
and follow the bus..Hahaha. And CRY.. My baby is getting
so big. She is amazing. Well we also put some new

hello everyone, well we finally got into our new redone house. It looks wonderful. we have our cousin Dawn visiting from PA and we are having so much fun.Karlee is good. her counts are good and she is on 6mp. we hate this med, because she has to stop eating so that I could give her medicine so I have to wait 2 hours after all food and drinks. so that's why I like to stop feeding her at like 8:30. It's so hard to say no to food but I can't stay up all night waiting to give her her medicine. Today we got Ali's ears peirced. she looks so cute. she cried for only 2 seconds. Hello everyone,
I am sorry to say that I have lost 2 very special people. They have joined all the angels many for
which there time was much to soon. Damn Cancer.My Aunt Donna passed away this evening.
Even thou I know that there is much pain and loss for my step mother this pain was nothing
compared to the pain that Aunt Donna has had to suffer with. And with that my step mom will
be ok and so will Aunt Donna's daughter. It's peace of mind knowing that she is no longer suffering. She
never desved to suffer. Also another angel is Victoria. She is a beautiful sweet little girl that
we were preveleged to meet at camp Whole in the wall, then again at camp Time for life in Martha's
Vindyard.Victoria was full of energy and never cared if her platletts were low that never slowed
her down. Allthough everyone else exspecially me was panicking because of fear that she would
get hurt. That is not good when platletts are low.Victoria's parents are blessed with another
daughter. The twin of Victoria. I asked James how this could happen and he said maybe that's
why God blessed them with 2 because there was nothing he could do for Victoria. That helped me
feel better but why Victoria at all? Why Aunt Donna why any of them? A question that we will
never know why?
Karlee-Ann is doing ok. She is being weened off the decodron. She is so uncomfortable.
Poor peanut. I will along with her be so glad when she is back to her little 45 pounds instead of this
awful 60pds. I don't feel much like talking so I will update some more in a few days. God Bless~

Hello everyone, happy Halloween. I am sorry it's been so long sence I have
updated:(Im such a bad girl. I have been very busy. Well Ms. Karlee-Ann has finished her
radiation. As of Tuesday she is done. yeah... She is currently on Decodron and has been for a few
weeks. she has to take 16 pills of .5mg every day for 21 days. she is packing on the pds. She is
sooo hungry. Poor little peanut. She is going to be SpongeBob Square Pants.. she looks so cute.
She is going to go trick and treating with her brothers and mom and dad and her best friend then I
think I will call it a early night for her and come home and hand out candy. She always enjoys
seeing all the cute costumes. She hates the scarry ones. Tito is going to be like a old man he has
a cool mask and Nicholas is going to be a gorillia. Also a very cool mask. As for me well I need no
mask.hahah only kidding it just cost so much to dress the kids I don't bother. One year I wore Jamie's
hunting clothes and I was a big fat hunter with a big butt... very cute. Everyone loved it. Jamie and I
one year were scare crows. we always wait till the last minute and surprize the kids. We like to do
that. Well Karlee will be done with the steriods on the 3rd. and we should be able to finally move
into our home between this wednesday and the weekend. I hope so at least. Tonight I went to the
movies with my sister Karen and we saw Ring. It was sooo good. Some prayers are needed. Please
I really need for tons of prayers for my aunt Donna that is suffering from Ovan cancer and her days
are really limited. Please pray for her to have a peaceful passing. Poor aunt Donna. Also my sweet
friend Laura is in NY and I am praying that they can do something to help her and make her
cancer leave her alone. She is 15 years old. take care and I will try to write more often. god bless~Tina

Hello everyone, today was the first day of Karlee-Ann's radiation. She did very well. I was very surprized.
She was put under for the radiation, then she got a bonemerrow. (IT CAME BACK CLEAN). thank god.
we don't breath till we hear the good word from Dr. Altman. We have 11 morae radiation visits. Today
we also had to get counts and they were great then we had to get vancristine, and Eurwina. These are
2 additonal chemos. And we started the wonderful Decodron. she is getting 16 pills a day. Poor baby.
We have to do what we did with the vancristine once a week and the Eurwina 3x's a week.My poor
baby. She was very tired tonight went to bed at 8ish. Anyone that knows Karlee, knows she is a nite
owl. Other then that we are good and the boys are great. Jamie and I are great. Just a little tired.
We have to be at the hospital at 7:30am! everyday.... yuck. well we will be in touch. take care and

Hello everyone, we are doing fine. Karlee-Ann did wonderful this last
chemo of Methotrextate. Today we are going in for VP16 and Cytoxin.
Yuck... it's going to be a long day. Next Monday we are starting radiation.
I am so not looking forward to this. When we went for the fitting of the
mask they had to put Karlee-Ann under. So from now on they are going to
have to put her under every day. Poor peanut...I feel so bad for her. she
is stronge and she has shown me her strength over and over time and time
again. She will do this and be ok. One thing I'm not sure of is if they are
going to be giving her chemo on top of radiation. I have to ask today. I do
know she is going to be starting Decodron (steriod) again which is so
awful. The weight that Karlee-Ann puts on is so horriable. I feel so bad
looking at her with an extra 20 pounds on. That's so much for a little one.
gosh it's alot for me believe me I know. I put my 20 pds on slowly. she will
do it over a few weeks. I am happy however that this is the last time she
will get decodron. Yippie... Oh I shouldn't say anything tooooo loud.
with the past history. I don't want to celebrate anything. Well any way. we
will try to write more often. Our house is coming along. Not fast enough.
I can't wait to see the finished job. The guy said yesterday another 4-5
weeks. My GOD.... Oh well it will be worth it in the end so they say.

Hello everyone I'm so sorry that I haven't written I've been so busy. We are in the hospital for Methotrextate we just came in today. and boy does everyone know we are here!
They know because she is so bubbley and LOUD and everyone says "oh Karlee-Ann is here" We make our rounds and say hi to our friends. We see Hunter and Karlee cheers for him to jump some more in his johnny Jumper and we visit Laura and make her smile. Today Laura's mom Joanne and Karlee had so much fun. she was chasing her and kissing her whole face. Karlee loved it. Joeanne told Karlee-Ann if she wiped off her kisses she was gonna get double next time so we were up to like 25 kisses! Joeanne hid and surprized Karlee and she was shocked. Karlee's counts are good and we will go home on Friday. Saturday cousin Dawn is coming and we can't wait to see her and her little belly. she is 4 months pregnant. well everyone thanks for checking up on Karlee-Ann. hello everyone, all is well with us. Karlee-Ann did very well at the hospital with her chemo
she did end up stayine one extra day because she got a fever from the chemo.She came home on
Friday and then we went to meet Noah. Noah was born on Thursday and he is 8pounds and 10 oz! 20 1
1/2 inches long. he is so adorable. we went to see him today also. We went up with Grandma and
Poppy and James and the boys went to a Red Sox game threw Marcy Spellman with the Time
for Life. We all had a great day. They boys were all tired from the game. They had so much fun.
Well, we will talk to you soon. Karlee-Ann has to go for a spinal on Tuesday. She goes in the OR
because she knows what's gonna happen when we go to the clinic and she doesn't stay still

hello everyone. we are doing good. we are going in the hospital today for ARC chemo. Karlee-Ann feels good. Her counts have been wonderful. she is loving living with Grandma and Poppy. All the kids are because they get spoiled. Go figure a GRANDPARENTS JOB!We are adjusting fine and our house is moving along. We no longer have kitchen cabinets or counter tops. I was very surprized. Well, Karlee-Ann was suppose to start school this Friday but because of the waiting list she isen't. To be honest with you she wouldn't be able to go if she could because this medicine makes her counts go low for like 2 weeks. I wonder if she will be able to go really. Dr. Altman says yes but I just don't see how there is time when she recovers from one chemo she is going in the hospital for another one. I don't know. Things will work out the way they are suppose to. They find a way of doing that. Well tonight Auntie Marti-Ann goes in the hosptial and she is going to be induced tomorrow to have Noah. hello everyone, hope this finds you well. we are doing ok. we went and got chemo from last
Tuesday threw Friday. we were able to get out early Friday because Karlee-Ann got her Methotrextate
level down thanks to our friends Joelle and Nicole challeneging her in water chugging contests.:) they
let her win! This made the methotrextate get out faster. Then we came home to a flood. Our water
heater let go. We are thankful that it didnt' catch on fire. They said it was amazing it didn't.n We have
moved to Jamie's parents house. We will be here for at least a month while our house is under
reconstruction. Thank god for home owners insurence. We are fine and adjusting well.We found out
Karlee-Ann may not be able to go to school on time because I registered her to late and now she
is on a waiting list and she is number 6. It still is possible she may start Sept. 6th if not she
may start in January. We are keeping our fingers crossed because we told Karlee-Ann about
what the dr. said and she is excited. Poor baby has wanted to go to school so bad for so long.

We just got news that Karlee-Ann is going to be able to go to PRESCHOOL. we are so excited for her. now we have to go school shopping. she is so excited to be able to go on a bus with her friend Elizabeth.She has a new friend from down the street and they play so cute together. hey everyone, we are home and have been for about a week. we have had a wonderful weekend. This weekend we had Auntie Marti-Ann's baby shower and that was fun and then we had Nick's 8th birthday and that was great. Karlee-Ann really is enjoying her new best friend Elizabeth. They play so cute together. Karlee has to go for a spinal tomorrow and then we are going to have a waterballoon fight! Hello everyone, we are writing to you from the hospital. we came on Sat at 4am. we came with a fever. Karlee had gotten blood and platletts on Friday and then again over the weekend. I tried to update yesterday but I got kicked offline just as I was adding it to the journel. we are suppose to go home tomorrow as long as Karlee-Ann doesn't get a fever. Her ANC also has to come up it's zero right now. Well we are getting ready for Karlee's auntie Marti-Ann's baby shower and Nicholas's birthday on Sunday. Nick is turning 8. hello everyone, sorry it's been a while sence I have updated. We have been so busy. I am writing to you on our new laptop. Grammie sent it to us. We love it. This will be wonderful when we are in the hosptial. Well there is lots to tell. We went in the hospital for our sceduled chemo ARC and Karlee got her typical 104 fever. Then she got the next chemo which was Lasparginse and she ended up having a allergic reaction to it. She was ok she had a fever and then a rash. We also found that her antibodies are low and she needs a 8 hour transfussion this comming week and her potassium was low so she needed that in a boilise. We are also considering waiting on Karlee's radiation for another 6 months because she will be 5 and the side effects are said to not be as bad possibley after the child is 5 years old. we still have to see what radiology says. I will let you know. Other then that Karlee is good. she is on newpogin for probley 14 days her counts are low. We are suppose to go tuesday if her counts make if for a new chemo in the place of the Laspaginse. we shall see. Hello everyone, hope all is well with you. We are doing good. We have been very busy. After getting home from Martha's Vindyard we have just been running. Today we went up to Mass. to see Auntie Marti-Ann and Uncle Neil. Neil is Karlee-Ann's favorite uncle. We had a great day.We went to a zoo and saw so many cool animals. Tons of little babies. It was so cute watching the kids look at the animals and feed them. Then we went back to Auntie's and chilled and ate alot. Karlee-Ann loves talking to her soon to be cousin (Noah) he is due between Aug 25 and Sept 5. We are getting so excited for them. We are planning a shower and Karlee-Ann is loving helping plan it. I told her she can put all the stamps on the invitations. She feels very grown up helping. It's so cute. Well, we are getting admitted on Tuesday for ARC. We will only be there for a few days. Hello everyone, Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July. We sure did. We went to Poppy and Grandma's house for the day and Karlee-Ann (the little FISH that she is) swam all day. First we were in our city parade and we marched informing people of Childhood cancer awarness. We had a banner on the back of the wagon. Karlee and I rode in a van that was banning walk for life and Light the nite. It was to hot for Karlee-Ann to sit in the wagon. We had so much fun. Karlee-Ann was like a Miss America waving and throwing candy to the crowd. She loved it. Well, we are getting ready for camp at Martha's Vindyard. So much to pack and so much to do. Today Karlee-Ann met her Chemo angel. She is so wonderful. She brought her youngest daughter Shelby. Karlee tought Shelby how to do ring around the rosie and she loved it. We wish would have had more time but poor carrie was running like a crazy woman. Well I will talk to you soon. Karlee-Ann's ANC is wonderful (2600.) so she is feeling great. Which is so good. Hopefully baby Ali will get out of the hospital in time to go. Heather and I want to play some pranks on the kids. We plan on taking so many picture and having so much fun. Hello everyone. Well we were suppose to go home today but we didn't because Karlee-Ann's methotrextate level wasen't low enough. We will be going home tom.Then we come back on Wednesday for VP16 and cytoxin. Then we will need to start packing for camp. We can't wait. We are getting so excited. Heather came and visited us last nite and she brought us a copy of camp hole and the wall camp songs. Karlee-Ann loved hearing "pork and bean and sardines" if you don't go to camp it sounds like a weird song but everyone that hears it sung by kevin will love it!when I herd it first I thought what a weird song but you learn to love the camp songs. We miss our boys and dad sooo much. yesterday dad and tito came to visit and today dad and nick came to visit. Karlee-

hello everyone, I have so much to tell you. Well Karlee's daddy and 2 bothers went to canada along with the rest of the family. We couldn't go because what if Karlee got a fever? We would be stuck in Canada. Not good. So we are staying busy. Wednesday we had to go for a spinal. Then Thursday we came to Heather's house and then we all went to Mass to Magic Wings to see the butterflys. That was so peaceful and beautiful. Check the new picture we added. Today we are going to see Lilo and Stich. Daddy will come home on Sunday. Next week we go in the hospital for admission from Tuesday till Friday. hello everyone. I am so excited that we finally got the picture on the front page. Many big thanks to Gooch for showing heather how to do it and thanks Heather for doing if for Karlee-Ann and I. Well, not much going on. Karlee-Ann's counts are dropping and she I think is getting that thing called patikieye which is red dots all over from low platlets. We are going to go and get platlets most likely tom.I also have had her on newpogin for over 1 week so we hope it will kick in and her counts will come back up. Last time it took 14 days. Karlee-Ann is very tired of the shots everyday. Other then that we are taking a break from the hospital this week. hello eveyone, sooo sorry that it's taken so long to update. We have been very busy working out side. Karlee is doing great. her anc is a little low 686. but she is feeling good. she needed a blood transfussion last week. she was suppose to go into the hospital last tuesday for chemo but her counts didn't make it so she is going this tuesday. We were invited to go to camp threw the Time for Life. We are going to go to Martha's Vinyard. That is in July. Please keep your fingers crossed that Karlee won't be in the hospital for chemo. I hope the week after so her counts will be good and she will feel good. Also Grammie is coming in June. Hopefully we won't be in the hospital then eather. So many plans. Hello everyone, hope this finds you all well. Karlee-Ann is doing wonderful. We went to camp hole in the wall this past weekend and she had a wonderful time. She went fishing w/ her daddy and cought a big one. We also made tons of friends. Karlee is getting admitted on the 21st for ARC chemo. Her counts are great and she is in great spirits. She isen't eating but that's ok because she is just getting off the decodron and the dr. said it's normal well we will close for now. Hello everyone, I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to update. I also am sorry to say we have lost a friend. Jason passed away today and my heart is breaking for him and his family. I feel for them. Jason was a wonderful kid and even thou I only knew him for a short time he has a place in my heart. We all know he is not suffering and is peaceful but knowing this doesn't make it any easier. This really goes to show us that we need to live today for today and be thankful for what we have. Always tell the ones you love that you love them. Don't hold onto grudes and make sure you smile and laugh. Children are a precious gift. My children are my ray of sunshine. Please pray for Lina (jason's mom) to find the strengh to go on. She is a wonderful person and she didn't deserve to have her baby taken from her like any of us. It's just not fair. I'm sorry I shouldn't be writting right now. thankfully karlee-ann is fine. she went on a date w/ her godmother and is just full of smiles. Hello everyone, well all is good with us. Karlee-Ann's counts are good thanks to the newpogin. We are going to the hospital for a spinal tomorrow. Yucky!!! Karlee-Ann had so much fun today, she went to our friends house and played with Rain and Sky (linda's our friends grandaughters) and they had a tea party and played with all the toys and then we had a great lunch. Then we went to walmart and then to check her mail. She likes to do all of the above.:) We know she is going to have low counts so we try to have as much fun as we can in the time we have. Hello everyone, well we are still in the hospital. We are fever free (knock on Wood) and her anc is finally going up a LITTLE. it is now 60! We would like 1,000 but anything is better then nothing. We were suppose to go home today but she need blood and by the time we would have gotten out it would have been to late to go home. so we are camping out another nite. No big deal. Karlee has been running circles around me. She is scarring all the nurses. It's nice to see her feeling good. We both will be happy to get home. We miss Daddy and the boys so much. And they miss us too. Well, that's all for now. Karlee-Ann has to go for a spinal on Tuesday. YUCKY but it has to be done. We will be in touch and keep praying for high counts. I also need you to please put Jason on your prayer list. He needs all the prayers he can get. I have helped his mom sign him up for chemo angels. I hope they will get in touch w/ him very fast. Hello everyone, well we write to you today from the hospital again. We came her at 4am this moring with a 101 fever. We were out for 1 week wow. She is feeling good but not eating hardly anything. Her fever has stayed away but her ANC is 0 and has been sence Friday. Hopefully it will pick up soon here. We will be here till she is fever free for 24 hours and her ANC is 500 or better. So atleast a few days. Hope this finds you all well. This hospital hasne't stopped her from doing crafts. We painted a wooden bird house and a sign and I painted her name on it and it says "karlee's Room" and we hung it outside her room. Looks very cute. hello everyone. Well we came home on Sunday and Karlee-Ann has been feeling pretty good. She rode her bike for the first time in a long time and she rollerbladed. She also has been playing in her sandbox. Yesterday we went to visit the additon to our family Savanna. Our new neice. She is so cute. We are in the hospital today getting blood, and platletts, and chemo. We will be here all day. We wanted to thank everyone that mailed Karlee-Ann stuff. She loves everything. She got a angel teddy bear, and stickers, and crayons and coloring books, and pops. She was so happy. Thank you to all you chemo angels. hello everyone,I'm writing to you from the hospital. We are doing ok. Karlee-Ann has spiked a fever it went up to 103. today it was 101 all day. We think she is coming down with a earache. Also we had problems with her port getting blood out for the cultures. they always run a culture check when a child has a fever. So far it came back negitive that she has no infections in her bloodstream. We were suppose to leave on Sat. but I think we won't leave till eather Sunday or Monday. Hello everyone, hope all is well with you. Well we are doing ok. We are surviving the 28 days of decodron. It hasen't been easy on her and anyone around her. She is so misrable and so uncomfortable. I feel so bad for her. We will finish this med tom. and then on Thrusday we are going in the hospital for ARC. We will be in for 3 days. Then we go back to going in every 3 weeks for Methotrextate. Karlee-Ann is very sad lately. She isen't happy with the way she looks or feels. We bought her some wood projects to paint. She loves that. We had fun this weekend. We went to the movies on the hospital to see Ice Age. and then I took the wrong exit and got lost. We ended up being 15 minutes from my great friend Heather. We ended up visiting and sleeping over. :) it was great. Also Tito and Nick went to a hockey game with Clayton and Tyler and Joshie. They had a blast. Hello Friends, hope your well. We are doing the best we can.The decodron is makeing Karlee-Ann so misrable. Poor thing. She dosen't know weather she is coming or going. She says she is bord then I try to find her something to do and she don't want to do it. I know it's not her fault but it's frustrating. We will be done w/ this med I believe on April 11th (grandpa's b-day) well Karlee-Ann's dad's birthday was yesterday. We had a good day. I took Karlee-Ann out to get his present and she had me blindfold him so he wouldn't see it. She thought that was great. she went to the hospital on thurs. and got her meds and her counts are great. 25,000!We are going to Karlee-Ann's Godmother's mom's house for a egg hunt and then to Grandma's and Poppy's for another hunt and dinner. We got a visit from Grandpa and Grandma from NY which was nice. I just can't wait to be done with med. My happy go lucky peaunut is so uncomfortable and misrable and you know she is trying to be normal but it's so hard. hello everyone, how are you. hopefully good. We are doing ok. We are trying to survive threw this 28 days of Decodron. ahhhh...we have i think 17 days left. but who's counting right. we went last Thursday for vancristine, and dynomicine. She did well with that. She is just so misrable.poor thing. Well this past Sat. we went to have breakfast w/ the Easter bunny and then we went to 2 easter egg hunts. We also went on the 4 wheelers. She had a full day. And we also had one of her friends sleep over. Her counts were 18,000 so that's why did so much. We will see what there are this Thursday. Well, take care and we will write again soon. hello everyone, hope this finds you well. We are doing good. We are having our patience tested thanks to the wonderful drug Decodron. Karlee-Ann started this yesterday. She has been so misrable today. My husband and I keep reminding each other that she is on meds.She went to the hospital yesterday and got chemo. Her counts are up they were 132 and yesterday they were up to 882. I want to share a story with you. Why? because it may have saved Karlee-Ann's life...Last Thursday I looked at the drug that my husband picked up from Walmart and relized instead of Lukeavorin we had been given Purinathol. Just so you know Lukeavorin is a recovy drug and has to be given at exactly the right time or it could be disastorious! Well, when I relized this it was 9pm and what could I do. I called the pharmacy Friday morning right away and we were told they messed up. As you can emagine I went nuts on the pharmacy. So my point please don't trust your pharmacy. I have learned that we need to look the medicine before we leave the pharmacy to make sure we have what we are suppose to have. Thank god I was paying attention. What if I asked my husband to give it to her. He is at work most of the time when she needs meds so I am the main med giver. He wouldn't have known it wasen't right. That wouldn't have been his fault. I probley wouldn't have known something was wronge eather. Please be careful. Also I need to mention a few things to you. Reciently, there was a fundraiser for Karlee-Ann and we have been touched so deeply by how many people gave. please feel free to check out the website of all our friends that helped us. www.usawct.org

Hello everyone, well Karlee-Ann got her spinal on Thursday and did very well. She did have very low blood counts. Her ANC is something like 132 and we want it to be 1,000! Well we are going to be starting our next phase and I thought it was going to be like the last one but it's different. We will be doing Vincristine and Daunorubicin. I am not sure how she will do with it this time because the Vincristine really bothered her legs. We also will be starting the steriod Decadron and she will be on that for about 1 month. Yippie in comes moodness and out goes SANTITY. She can't help it but she gets so misrable.We aren't looking at a sceduled admittence for about 5 weeks. Which is wonderful. I am worried about going in w/ a fever thou becasue of her counts being so low. Please can I ask you to pray for a dear friend of ours. Her name is Chereyl Jean. She recently relapsed w/ ALL aslo and I have been so worried for her and her family. They have consumed so much of my thoughts and prayers. Please pray for her to have the strength and courage to make it threw this once again and same w/ her family. Well, I will be in touch. thanks as always for keeping in touch. Hello everyone, Well we went to the hospital for the VP16 and Cytoxin but we didn't get it because she was still dehydrated. She took in fluids all day and we have to go back tom (thursday) for her treatment. Karlee-Ann is feeling much better today. She has been playing and eating and her stomach is much better. Thank god. Hey everyone today is the big day. Karlee-Ann is ok. She was suppose to have a party on Sat. but we ended up in the hospital getting hydration because Karlee-Ann wasen't taking in enough fluid on her own. We did however have her party on Sun. It was great. Took lots of pictures. Please look at one of them I did get a chance to put on. Her cts are good. We are going to CCMC for cytoxin and VP16 (YUCK). Karlee-Ann's tummy has been so upset. She has vomited every day at least once sence we came home from the hospital on Friday. Hopefully this will pass because the antinausea meds aren't really working.I feel so bad for her. Thank you to all of you that sent Karlee-Ann cards and gifts for her birthday. She was so happy. She did get so many beautiful gifts. Hello everyone, we are in the hospital getting Methotrextate chemo for a few days. Karlee-Ann is doing wonderful. She is keeping me running so much. We have visited friends and done activities and played on the computer, and played air hockey. She is eating good and keeping the food down which is wonderful. Her dad is coming up and spending the nite with her tom. nite. We tell her we are on special dates. She is getting very excited for her birthday. I still have to go get her precious moments. I collect them for her and she loves her pretty stuff. I get her 2 a year. One for her birthday and one for Christmas. I have to go get number 4!I can't believe that our sweet angel is turning 4 already. I have met so many people on here in the last few weeks. I am so thankful for all your support. between all her chemo angels that are so wonderful to her and our family and all of you friends we are so emotionally covered. :) you all are wonderful and we are very thankful for all of you and all you do. Thank you for sending Karlee-Ann birthday presents. She will love them. She loves everything. She loves the coloring pages her angel carrie sends, and the gummies were a big winner. All the stuff Angel Carrie sends is just perfict And she loves the braclets and hats and stuff the Carlene and Barb send. She loves all the cards, and everything she has gotten. I have told many people about a child smile and Chemo angels and of couse this web site. Well i feel like I am babbeling. I'm sorry. hello everyone, sorry it's been a while. Sometimes the days get all rolled up in to one and I loose track of time. I have to thank my friend Judy for sending so many wonderful new friends to Karlee-Ann's page. She needs all the prayers she can get. Thank you to all of you who are new to us or have been with us for so long. Also thank you to the Russo Family for the beautiful angel you sent Karlee-Ann. She loves it. I am afraid to take it out of the bag but I know you would want her to enjoy it. Thank you for taking the time to think of her. Karlee-Ann is good. She is suffering from a bad stomachache which is what happens everytime after chemo. She had a spinal on Tuesday and no news is great news. We are sceduled to go for local counts and then admisstion on Tues threw Friday. We are going to try to have her birthday party on Sat or Sunday. She went out and played a little bit with her good friend Mariaha. Mariaha is a 12 year old girl that lives up the street and she loves Karlee-Ann so much. She always comes and plays with Karlee-Ann. I took Karlee-Ann for a walk today in her LIMO (stroller). Karlee-Ann calls it her LIMO:) I am working on getting some more pictures. Maybe before we go in the hospital. Hello everyone. Sorry it's been a while. We have been very busy. Karlee-Ann is feeling great. We went and saw her cousin's Natelie and Will the other day. We had so much fun. We haven't been able to play with them because if we aren't sick they are and visversa. Ya know how that goes. We are having Tito's birthday party finally. He was thrilled to see you all wishing him a Happy Birthday. Thank you so much. He thought that was cool. We are going for counts on Mon. and a spinal on Tues. Not looking forward to it but spinals are good things only because it's reasurence everything is working and she is ok. I hate waiting to find out thou. Specially sence she relapsed.We are going to try to plan a birthday party for Karlee-Ann but not sure how things will turn out. I just hope she isen't in the hospital. Her birthday is the 25 of this month. So we shall see. I don't care really where her birthday party is. I am thankful unbelievabley that we have another birthday. Hello everyone. Sorry it's been a while sence I updated. Today is Karlee-Ann's oldest brother (Tito)birthday. He is 11 today. We had a birthday breakfast. She is doing ok. Her counts went back down. Don't know why. They were 440 when we left the hospital on Friday and Monday they were 365? Don't understand. I am giving her the neupogen shots to help her counts go up. Sometimes it takes a while.So we didn't get chemo on Tues because her counts needed to be 500. We will go for counts again tom. and if they are 500 or better she will get chemo on Tues. I hope they are going up. She is very happy and good spirits and eating really good and sleeping good. So maybe this means they are going up. Hello everyone. Well finally Karlee-Ann came home. She is doing great. She still has a few small mouth sores but all in all she is doing good. Her ANC is still a little low it is 440 and it really needs to be 1,000 but it's going up. She is on GCSF/neupogen which helps bring up her counts. She got it yesterday and today and tom. and if her counts aren't good still come Monday when we go for local counts then she will get it again on Monday. She hates the shots but is still very good about it all. If her counts are 500 or better we will get cytoxin and vp16 on Tuesday. So we are doing good. She is happy to be home with her brothers and to be able to play with all her toys. She is so sweet and such an angel. good morning everyone. Sorry it's been so long sence I have updated. Karlee-Ann went in the hospital on Tuesday the 15th and we came out on Friday. She was in for Methotrextate. I was very happy with how she handled it because she ate so much more then she ever does. We came home and this past Sunday she went back in for a fever of 102. She has very low counts and they are still going down. They went from 120 to 96. I am almost afraid to see what they are today. She is having a rough time this week. She has gotten mouth soars real bad. She hasent' eaten in about 4-5 days. The dr. put her on a food replacement threw the port. She is very uncomfortable. So poor little thing is pain. I hate this because in order to get rid of the mouth sores you have to give medicine,and if you give her medicine then it hurts her. So your pretty much damed if you and damed if you don't. the dr. put her on Morpheen but the problem with that is that it constipates you. Another problem that Karlee-Ann is dealing with. Well, I don't expect her to be home till atleast the weekend. I think maybe Sat or Sunday.. We shall see. I just want those darn mouth sores to go away. I will be in touch. I have switched with my husband he is with her now. I needed a break and our boys need me too. I will be returning to the hospital on Thursday nite.talk to you all soon. thanks for your support. Hello everyone, well we were suppose to go into the hospital for Methotrextate treatment for 4 days but Karlee-Ann's counts weren't high enough. They needed to be atleast 500 and they went from 325 to 235 so we couldn't go in. We are going for local counts on Friday and then again on Monday and if they are greater then 500 we will go in on Tuesday. Her not going in is kinda bitter sweet. If she did go in then I wondered how she would be for my birthday which is the 13th. and also he scedule made it so that she would be in the hospital on her brother's birthday. Which would have been yucky but all in all we would have delt with it. Really these are luxiouries and that we are all grateful for every day and thank god for today, yesterday and hopefully a long future. If there is no other lesson to teach us from ALL leukemia or what hand your delt, it is to appreciate what you have and don't take advantage of anything and defently be grateful because as unfortantly many of us know, our lives can change in moments. For us it was just a matter of a few words. "your daughter has leukemia". My thoughts are with Delany's family and my prayers are with them and many of you as always. god bless Tina and Karlee-Ann

Hello everyone, we hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas. We had a great holiday. Karlee-Ann enjoyed herself so much. She got so many beautiful gifts. Not just from family but from her friends in the mail. Her counts are good which was a blessing because she was able to be around the whole family for Christmas Eve. at Poppy and Grandma's house. I have new pictures for you finally. I do have one on now and more to come. The picture that is new was taken by Karlee-Ann's chemo angel Carrie's Poppy and Binky (grandparents). They came by and brought our family gifts from Carrie. I have to say all of Karlee-Ann's chemo angels are so wonderful. Karlee got movies and bears and barbie's and a beautiful baby that looks like a plant from Barb and Carlene. She loves everything. Some of her favorites are her barbie Karokie machine and barbie nutcracker, and barbie phone, and sleeping bag. She even got barbie nurse and Vet! She is in barbie glory! Thank you for all your support and we are looking forward to the new year with much faith and many prayers that we and all of you will have a safe, healthy and happy 2002!God bless to all~Tina and Karlee-Ann and Family. Hello everyone, I'm so sorry it's taken so long to write in her journel. I've been so busy going to the hospital evertime I turn around and getting ready for christmas. She is doing ok. She had to go in the hospital this past Tuesday threw Friday. She was very nausious this time. She didn't eat for 2 days. She slept most of Friday. She really doesn't look very good. She is now loosing her hair. But in all this yucky news there is some good. She is happy when she can be and is very much looking forward to Christmas. We are thankful for today and every day that God gives us. We hope this journel entry finds you all well. We want to wish you all a very happy, safe and most of all healthy Holidays. Hello everyone sorry it's taken so long to update. We have been very busy around here. Everything is going fine with Karlee-Ann. She is feeling wonderful. She went threw a new medicine and did great. We expect that she will feel fine for Christmas!yeah!!! She is going for a spinal on Tuesday. We went to a Christmas party last weekend and had so much fun. It was put on by CCMC hemotology and oncolgy dept. It was so fun. Hello everyone. First we want to wish all of you a happy Thanksgiving. I'm so sorry it's been a while sence I have written I have been so busy. We were suppose to go to the hospital on Monday and get out Tom.in the afternoon but fortuanitly for us there was no beds open. Which is sad because I wish none of those kids had to be in the hospital.We are going next week on Monday for the start of her intense chemo. We will be getting Methotrextate and a new med called VP16. Don't know much about that one. We have had Metho.. before but this stronge. Karlee-Ann feels great. Her ANC is 2,200! That is great but last week her counts were 30,000! That is from the Nupegin. She looks great and feels great. We hope she will do ok w/ the next phase. We are nervious about it. She and her brothers are sleeping over my sister-in-laws house and Jamie and I are going out on a date! Hello everyone.Well karlee is doing good. She feels good. She got blood and platletts yesterday. She is looking forward to going to a craft fair and a football game tom. I may take the kids to go see monstor's Inc. They want to see that so bad. She loves to go to the movies. Well, today karlee got so much mail. She just loves to get her mail. She recieved mail from new friends and her angel Carrie, and our friend Linda from Camp Sunshine. Today Carrie sent Karlee-Ann a Dora the Explorer movie. She loves it. Also Karlee got some clothes from Linda. Karlee was happy to see new dresses. I wanted to ask you all if you knew of a place to find real cute girly hats. Karlee-Ann is really starting to loose her hair. I have no problem finding winter hats but something for the store. I can't stand the stares people give. It's so heart breaking. But with hats it's not so bad. Plus I have to keep her poor little balding head warm.:) So if you know of any web sites, or great stores please let me know. hello everyone, how was your Halloween? Our's was good. We did get home in time to go trick or treating. We visited with Karlee's cousin Cheyenne and then went to a few friends house's. It was good. This weekend we went and met Karlee's cousins Racheal, and Hunter Jay's new dog. She is so cute. She is black lab. Then we went to Grandma and Poppy's for a visit. On Sat. we had a big family dinner and visited with everyone and Karlee-Ann got to spend lots of time with her uncle Neil (her favorite uncle) and we celebrated Grandma's birthday. Karlee really enjoys spending time with the family and it was good because we may be in the hospital getting treatment on Thanksgiving so good to get w/ them now. She is going for counts tom. She is on Nuprogin to help bring her counts up from dropping. They are suppose to drop low. We shall see what they are tom. Take care and talk to you all again soon. Hello, well, we are writing from the hospital. We have had a very exciting visit. Karlee broke out w/ a rash and we thought it was chicken pox. We had to be moved from a normal room to a double door sanitized room (-) room. Sence then we found that the specialist don't think it's chicken pox but we can't be around people until we get her blood work back saying she defently doesn't have it. She has has a very bad rash on her face. She also has fever which we think the fever is from the ARC which is the chemo we are in here for. We should be able to go trick or treat for a little bit if she feels up to it. Hello everyone. We were so happy to see some new friends visit our web site. Karlee-Ann was going to be a kitty but now she is going to be Pocahontas. I have to make her a wig. We aren't going to be out much. Hopefully we will be home. We are going in for treatment tom. and should be out for Wednesday. This weekend Karlee-Ann was in her god-mother's wedding. She looked so cute. She wore a dress that was black velvet on the top and white on the bottom with pink roses, with a halo with roses on it and black patent shoes. She was so good. She rode in a extra long streatch white limo to and from the wedding. After the wedding she charmed everyone with her dancing and cute remarks. Today we went to grandma and poppy's house and had dinner and candy apples. Grandma trimmed Karlee's bangs because they were so long. We know she is going to loose her hair again but they really needed it. She looks so cute with bangs. I hate to cut her hair because I know soon enough it will be all gone again. She looks cute w/ or with out it so what ever right. Well, we will talk to you again when we get out of the hospital. Unless I am lucky enough to get a computer and that it works in the hospital. Hi everyone. We are doing ok. Karlee-Ann was suppose to go into the hospital for treatment this weekend and she didn't because she had a rash. We thought that it could have been chicken Pox but it's not. Thank God. We are going to go into the hospital this up coming Monday for treatment. She is feeling wonderful. Her counts are over 5,000. She is keeping me on my toes. She is very busy. We went for a walk today with her cousin Cheyenne and her daddy and myself. It was a beautiful day for it. All that fresh air made my sweet girl so tired. She is talking so much. She is telling us her on going Christmas list. Seems like this list doesn't have a end. Everything on T.V. she says she wants. hello everyone, we are home. We came home today. We just came home today. We went in for a fever and low ANC. Her ANC went to zero today it is 465!It's on it's way up. Karlee feels great! she is very busy. She is dancing and playing. Could have something to do with her blood transfussion she got and her platlett transfussion she got. Hello to all, well Karlee-Ann is in the hospital again. She has a fever. Her ANC is now Zero. She was 30 yesterday. This is mostly from all the chemo. She had ARC (chemo in the shot form) 3 or 4 times and that usually knockes your counts very low. She sound great and is enjoying water painting in some new books she got in the mail and she loves to play w/ her playdoe. Hello everyone. Sorry it's been a while sence I have updated. Karlee is doing ok. Her counts were very high a few days ago. They were 6,000 but currently as of yesterday they were 30! We are watching her so close for a fever. She has been getting Nupegen (chemo that boosts white blood count) and it hasen't kicked in yet. Her poor little legs look like a pin cushion. She is getting shots in her legs everday from me and she got ARC (chemo shot) on Mon and thur of this week. She wasen't crying about the shots but her legs are hurting so much. We are recieving so many cards and gifts from all the loving and caring people that have visited Karlee-Ann's make a child web site. She loves to check her mail. I made it so the box was low enough she does the key and everyting. She loves it. It makes her so happy. We are very thankful for all of you that sent her smiles. Hello everyone. Well, we were in the hopsital for Karlee-Ann's 3 day chemo and she did very well. We left the hospital in great spirits and her ANC is 6,273! I had to give her, her first Nupegin shot today. I wasn't happy but she was very good which made it easier on me. She is so brave. We had a hudge water fight in the hospital. We got Dr. Altman good. I'm not sure if he appreciated how good we got him. We were sorry. We also got Beth-Ann and she got us too. Our nurses were great on the new 8th floor. Karlee-Ann had to get some x-rays to make sure her chest was clear and it is. Thank god. She is in great spirits and we are enjoying it. We picked up our mail today from our p.o. box and it was full of cards from all the wonderful people who mailed her stuff from the make a child smile. Karlee was so happy. She was so surprized. To be honest so was I. She loved opening all the cards. It made her so happy. I almost cried when I saw all that mail. And reading them made me cry! It was great hearing her screach "look mommy stickers" or "braclets, and rings" and "crafts". there are truely wonderful people in the world. We are thankful every day for all our friends. Hello everyone. Well, things are good this week. Karlee-Ann's counts are over 3,000 and she feels great. She still is on the IV antibiotic which has the pole and hanging bag just like at the hospital. Karlee-Ann named her machine George and she introduces it to everyone. "This is George my manican"
or"George is sleeping in my room." Little does she know her grandpa Smith's name is George. Hahahah.Well, we go in for 3 day chemo tomorrow. We should be out for Sat. afternoon. She is so happy. She played in her sandbox today for the first time in about 2 months. I hate to know she is going to be feeling crummy again real soon. But we have to do what we have to do. We don't have any choice. For my friend that writes "matthew's mom" i would love your address (email) so i could write back. I can't seem to get to his web page. I will try again tonight. Well, everyone I don't know if I am going to be able to get a computer while I am in but I will try. Heather come visit us while we are in. Hello everyone. We are home from the hospital once again. We got home last night after 7.pm. She is on IV Anitbotic 3x a day for I think 10 days. She is also on nystatin for the mouth sores, and diflucan. They sent her home w/ tylenol w/ codeine in case her mouth hurt to much. I have only needed to give it to her one time. I figured if she don't seem to be in pain no sence in giving her another drug. Well, her counts are currently over 13,000.00 Yes 13,000.00. I didn't mean 1,300. I can't believe they are so high. Why well because they gave her Nuprogin which busts the counts. We stopped that I think 2 nites ago. We are scheduled to go in patient next week on Wed,Thurs and Friday for chemo. She is doing better w/ her spirits. She is laughing and playing and making jokes. We went to my brother-in-laws camp ground and she played w/ her cousins for a while. I know it was nice to her to get out of the house and do something fun. Well, talk to you all soon. Hello everyone. Once again I am writting to you from the hospital. We came here on Friday for a fever of 104! We didn't know for all this time what was the cause. We were getting so scarred that something else was wronge! Well, we got word yesterday that Karlee-Ann has strep in her bloodstream. I know how did that happen? We asked the same thing. Well it turns out that she came in here w/ a virus and then her ANC dropped to zero and then she got coldsores in her mouth real bad. Then from there she got the strep in her bloodstream. Needless to say she is holding up and being a angle. she loves the toy that heather was sweet enought to drop off. Jamie brought Karlee play doe, and stickers so she is busy. If we could only get rid of these sores she would be happy. She hasent' eaten sence yesteday at breakfast. Her anc is going up it's now 750! she did have a fever today so maybe we will go home in 2 days. Hello everyone! Well, tonight I was joined by a few friends, to do the Light the Night walk in Hartford. I walked with Marti-Ann, Neil, Marraiha,Allison,Dawn, and Nick. Our team raised $1,764.00 with the help from all of us and our friend Brenda who couldn't walk tonight with us. We had so much fun but we wished that Karlee-Ann could go w/ us.Jamie stayed home with Tito and Karlee because Karlee's counts went down from 590 to 105.She took her last dose of decodron today. Thank God. She is unbelievabley misrable and so uncomfortable from all the weight that she has put on. I wish I could take the weight off her for her but I can't. She is having trouble breathing and walking. Poor baby I feel so bad for her. But better days are on the way. I keep telling myself that. Our team was called the "Karlee's Keepers". Isent' that so cute. My aunt Deb gave me that name. Well, everyone we are playing the waiting game for the counts to go up before we can start the next fase which is a 3 day hospital stay. I am not looking forward to that but then again I want to get it over with and get threw this. I know she is more then me. thanks for keeping touch and don't forget to sign her page. Hello all, well I have alot to tell you about. We were suppose to get in patient chemo on the 7th but our dr. said he wasen't pleased w/ karlee's counts and he felt she wasen't ready so we came home. Well, around 6:30 we were on our way to CCMC with a fever. We ended up being put in ICU because Karlee-Ann's blood pressure was very low and her heart rate was very high. Her heart rate is suppose to be 120 or a little lower and it was as high as 180! We spent one nite in ICU and then we moved to the 7th Floor. We didn't come home till yesterday the 12th because we had to be fever free for 24 hours and her counts had to come up. Now we are home and Karlee is very tired and doesn't feel well. She crys but won't tell me what's wronge. I feel so helpless. I try to make her feel better but it don't work. Well, with everything going on in the world we know that things can be much worse and we are grateful for today. And we are greatful for all your ongoing support. God Bless~Tina and Karlee-Ann

Hello everyone. Well, we got the joy of having a visit from heather and gang the other day. Lets just say it was very exciting. The boys played and Karlee slept. She really hasen't felt well this whole month. I practically have to stand on my head to see a small smile. She is not her self. she is not happy and she is so weak. She is just sleeping this whole month away. She has gained alot of weight this month and she is not comfortable. I will be glad to be done with decodron we finish this seasion of this on Thurs the 6th. We will be in the hospital on the 7th for chemo and will be there from Friday till Mon.We love our hospital but we aren't looking forward to spending that much time there. We are trying to stay postive and keep our wits. Sometimes it takes a good cry to get me back on my feet. Thank you all for all your support. Hello everyone, well it's been a while sence I have updated Karlee-Ann's page. I've been very busy. Now she is on Decodron and she is very ill. She is misrable and very tired and weak. I feel so bad. I hate to give her the medicine 3 times a day because I know how she is going to be feeling. But what choice do I have. She has been good about taking her medicine. She has had 3 spinals. One every Friday. She is getting another one tomorrow. Next Friday Sept 7th we are staying in the hospital for chemo. I am trying to make it sound like we are doing something that the boys are missing something. I told her we are camping out at the hospital with out them. She probley thinks I'm wacked for thinking this is a good thing. I had to bring her the ER in our town last Sat. because she had pain in her ear. Turns out she was getting a earache.She has gained so much weight. She is hating trying to walk with all this weight. She dont' want to go out of the house all she wants to do is eat and sleep. Hello everyone, I am writing to you to let you know that Karlee-Ann's bonemerrow came back clean. Thank god. We are very thakful for this. We do still have to go threw another 2 years of chemo but atleast we don't have to worry about bonemerrow transplant. she is hanging in there. She is getting chemo 3 times a day and has to go for a spinal 4 fridays in a row. On the 5th Friday she will be admitted into CCMC for Chemo and will stay there for 2-3 days. Hello everyone. I have something I need to let you all know. Yesterday we found out that Karlee-Ann relapsed. Dr. Altman found 2 blastic cells in her spinal fluid when he did her last spinal from last Tuesday. For all that don't know what this means it means we have to start all over. We will have to do this for another 2 years. We were so close but that don't matter. Karlee is going to get a spinal, bonemerrow, and port put in on Friday @ 12:30 at the Ct. Children's Hospital.We are praying that her bonemerrow hasen't been attacked by the blasts. If not we will do a firmer Chemo, and Dr. Altman said that she will need radiation in a year. If the bonemerrow is not good, we are looking at much more. Like bonemerrow transplant, and/or stemcell transplant. Please for Karlee-Ann start a prayer chain that her bonemerrow will be ok. We are very upset, scarred and shocked. I know I don't even have to tell you that. As for how is Karlee-Ann? She doesn't know anything is wronge. She is still her happy self always dancing and having a tune in her head. Keeping me running as much as always. She told me to stop crying that "mommy, daddy, tito, nick and grandma, and poppy can't cry anymore" Very seriously. She don't know why we are crying. We are about to go threw alot and we have no idea what to exspect except that it's going to be more intense and that our poor innocent baby has to go threw more. Hello everyone! At last I finally have pictures to show you. I couldn't have done it with out my online friend Heather for all her support and help to get them on. So hope you enjoy them. What's going on with Karlee you ask? Well, Karlee had her LAST spinal on Tuesday. It went well. It was one of the more better ones which made it better for all of us. She didn't get sick like she usually does so this was great. On Aug. 28th she will have her last vancristine and her last session of prednisone. I have to tell you honestly I will not miss prednisone. I won't miss any of it but exspecially prednisone. This is known to Karlee-Ann's brothers as the grumpy medicine. Need I say more? On Sept. 21 Karlee-Ann will take her last pill of 6MP. We are very excited. As you will see in the pictures we went to Camp Sunshine. We had such a wonderful time. Hello to all our friends! Hope you all are enjoying the summer. We are. Karlee-Ann is doing so good. She is taking her treatment great and we are counting the days till Sept. 21! This is her last day of treatment. Today I took her and her brother to the circus in our town and they loved it. She asked me if the man was going to fall off the tight rope. so cute. I am going to work on putting new pictures on her sight. I know you all must be mad at me for not staightning this problem out sooner. I'm so sorry. hello everyone. Hope this journel entry finds you all well. We are great. We are staying busy and most importanly staying healthy. We are getting ready for Karlee-Ann's birthday. Man it sure is coming fast. She has decided that she wants to have a Scoobie Cake. Also she is making out her Valentines. She thinks she is so cool making out her valentines. I asked her who are you going to give one to and she said "ME" :) how cute hu? Well, when I get my computer back I will be putting some new pictures on here and I am going to get her birthday pictures taken. I sure miss talking to all of you and hearing from you. I miss hearing how my kids are doing. I wonder how everyone's treatments are coming along. I think of the kids that I know from the hospital like my own kids. Well, I am going to be doing a speach on the radio (LIVE) tomorrow to promote giving Blood. I am so nervious but I know it's for a good cause. Hello to everyone. I'm so sorry I haven't kept up or have been able to put some new pictures on but I don't have a computer right now. I am using my mother-in laws while I am here. Well, Karlee is wonderful. She is getting ready to celebrate her 3rd birthday soon. She keeps asking when it's going to be her birthday because mommy had one and now her brother when she going to have one. She is so cute. She wants a helmet for her birthday. that's what she keeps saying because santa brought her a new bike for Christmas. We let her ride it in the house. She does so good. She is feeling wonderful. She is due for a spinal Feb 13th. She is doing so good and takes her medicine so well. As for the rest of us we are great too. I started college this week. I like it so far. I am going for Medical Sec. It's going to take a while but it's worth it. And Jamie is good working alot so that we can do alot of things to our house that we want to do. And the boys are great. Hello everyone!Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve w/ Jamie's parents and then stayed home all Christmas day and let the kids play w/ the many toys they got. Then we packed our bags and off we went to New York to see Grandma and Grandpa Smith (Tina's parents and family). We had a great visit. It was nice to spend 6 days with all the gang. Karlee-Ann is feeling wonderful. We are looking forward to 2001. Many good things coming our way. Our end of treatment is only months away and we are looking into sending Karlee-Ann to pre-kindergarten in Sept. She is excited to be able to go to school. I would love to put some new pictures on the site but I don't have my computer so I can't. I hope the New Year brings you all many healthy happy days. Your all in my prayers and thoughts. I miss talking to all of you. I hope to be able to get a new computer soon. For now I just borrow people's when I go to their house. :)

Hello everyone. well we are home from Disney and give kids the world. that is the most beautiful place in the world. and some of the most beautiful people in the world volunteer their time there. we had so much fun and took so many pictures. We took over 17 rolls of film! and they are all in 2 albums and ready to show off. The kids were having so much fun swimming and going in the jaccuzi. and they loved the plane. Karlee and tito did get sick while we were there. We had to go to the walk in clinic. tito had an ear ache and streap throat. Kalee had and earache and an upperrespotory infection. Both are fine now and they didn't let nothing stop them from enjoying their vaccation. The kids were so much fun. Some high lights of our trip. Well, Mommy was a Beat on a concert for the Dough Show.! how funny. Tito had to do the Tarzan howel in front of everyone at the Tarzan show. Nick got to drive a boat at Animal Kingdom. Karlee got to meet w/ Minnie personally. Jamie broke the law. But nothing real bad. He moved a few cones but he did put them back of course. HeHeHe... We loved our vaccation and I will miss hearing from you because I'm at my inlaws using their computer because mine is broke. Boo Hoo. Oh and the best NEWS YET--- KARLEE HAS JUST 3 SPINALS LEFT AND 10 TREATMENTS LEFT. We will be done Sept. 2001! hello to everyone. we are doing great. Karlee-ann's counts are wonderful. Last time they were over 4,000! she is feeling great. Best of all we are leaving to go to Disney world on November 16-21. We are so excited. grant a wish is sending us. We can't wait. I will be sure to get some cool pictures on here as soon as i can. Karlee-Ann's brother's don't know we are going. We have had this secret for 6 months now. Karlee has said "going to mickey mouse house" but they just think she means the disney store:) Our limo is going to pick us up around 4:30 and that's when the boys will find out and our plane leaves at 7:00am. Hello everyone. Well Karlee-Ann had a very busy and exciting weekend. She along w/ her 2 brothers and myself and husband was in my sister-in-laws wedding. She did such a good job being a flower girl. She looked so beautiful. She is doing good. She was so good all day yesterday. Then she and her brothers went w/ Lourdes (karlee's god mother) for the night. Karlee also got to see her godfather. Also all our family from Canada. It was a very good weekend. She is going threw that phase where every thing she see's she wants. Eather it be on tv or in the paper. She wants Santa to bring her everything. She is doing great. She is getting so big. She is so busy. I'll get some more pictures on real soon. I'll try to make them not take so long to come up. Hello everyone. Well we are great. Karlee-Ann is doing wonderful. We did the Leukemia walk that Hartford had and that was so much fun. We raised $309.00! I am going to try to scan some pictures for you all to see. She is getting so much hair. We are having a blood drive in honor of her tom. In Willimantic, @ st. joes's church @ 9:00-1:45. Karlee-Ann made the front page of our local newspaper. I hope to get that scanned for you too. We have over 60 donors that we know of. We are so excited. We hope that we will meet and beat our personal goal of 100!

Hello everyone. Karlee is doing great. She finally got her cts to go up. Thank god. She went off kemo for over 4 weeks because her cts were staying at 415-430 and needed to be 1,000. so now they are 2300. so she is on half the meds. which is good. I don't like it when she is off for so long knowing she is suppose to be on. She is getting so much hair. I just love it. Everyone is so use to her being bald it's actually weird to see her with hair. But believe me I can get use to this very fast. She is liking the new house. We moved about 2 weeks ago and she loves having this very big bedroom. She also loves to go into her brother's rooms and make messes. she has been enjoying going to watch her brother's go to football practice. she cheers for them. Next month we are getting karlee fitted for a dress because she is going to be in her auntie Marti's wedding in Oct. we hope to hear from you take care and god bless.~tina and karlee

Hello to all our friends. We are good. Although in maintence we have had to go to the hospital 2 weeks in a row and now we are going next week because her counts are very low. Why you ask? Well it's because of the 6MP and predinisone 5x a month and she gets vancristine. We have to play with her dose of 6mp is the right dose. So till we figure this out her counts are going to be a little low. The week before they were 209 and this week they are 430. So they are going up. Well we took Karlee-Ann w/ her 2 brother's out to a children Museum and she loved it. We plan to try to go to the beach on this up coming Thursday if it don't RAIN!. She will love the beach. Just going to really put tons of sunblock, hat, and umbrella.Haven't herd any more about the blood drive for those who want to come once I know more I'll let you know.well take care don't forget to sign Karlee-Ann's book. god bless~Tina and Karlee-Ann..

hello to all. karlee-ann is doing great.She is loving the summer and swimming. She is potty training and doing very well. We are putting together a blood drive in honor of her. We are looking at Sept. 24,2000. When we are sure of the date I will let you know. We are also putting together one at Foxwoods. This is where her daddy works. We also are planning to walk the Light the Night walk in Sept. We want to stay busy and keep raising money for a cure. And help give someone else the chance Karlee had by donating blood. Please take 5 minutes on the 22cd of this month to thank god for karlee going into remission and staying this way and doing so good. the 22 makes one year sence she was diagnoised. thank you god bless Tina and Karlee-Ann

Hello to all. Well, I sure did miss this when it was going threw all it's changes. I'm also very glad everything is perfict. Karlee-Ann is doing very great! She was in the boom box parade in our town on the 4th of july. She marched w/ her 2 brothers and the rest of the windham youth wrestling team. Her daddy is one of the couches for the wrestling team. We made a float and the kids marched and sprayed the people with water guns and we (karlee & mommy) blew bubbles and waved to everyone. She had such a blast. And she is loving her little kiddy pool we bought. It's on the deck and I smother her w/ sunblock put a hat on and a shirt from one of her brothers and she just swims for hours. She is loving it. She is very happy. Today she went for cts and vincristine and she did so good with her needle in her hand. She cried a little but was very good. hello everyone. well we took our first family vaccation sence Karlee-Ann was diagnoised with ALL.We went to NY to see her Grandma and Grandpa and aunties and uncles. We all had a good time. I will be putting on some more great picures just as soon as I can figure out how to make the picutures a little smaller so that I can put more then just one. Haha. hello everyone! Well it sure is nice to have Karlee-Ann in maintence. To any who reads this just keep thinking if your waiting for maintence it's so worth waiting for. She had a great Father's day. We all went to Mass. for a family picnic. And we had cake and she kept sticking her finger in the frosting running it along the side of the cake to taste the frosting. She is so cute. She is starting to get her hair. Finally.Her daddy was sure happy this Father's day. She is loving to take her baths. She stays in there for 30 mins and then I have to fight to get her out. She is pretending to swim. We are planing our first big family trip sence maintence began. We are going to NY to see grandma and grandpa and aunties, and her all time way to cool uncles. So we are excited but a little nervious that she will get a fever. Then what? But we will deal with it if it happens just like we deal w/ everything else. hello today Karlee-ann got her tubie out! We are all so happy. She is now in maintence. And she is so happy that now she can go swimming or play in the tub with no limitations. Finally we are seeing a light at the end of this very dark tunnel. She now is on kemo at home. One on Friday only,one 3 times a week 2x a day, one every day at nite, one 4xday, and vincristine once a month. We go for spinals every 3 months. I know it sounds like a lot but it's not. We always adjust to what god gives us. This is just another adjustment. I'm thankful for every day that I have my sweet angel and that she is doing good. Well, Karlee-Ann is doing much better now. She was in the hopsital for almost a week. She went in on the 15 of this month. We brought her because she was having bleeding from her mouth. When I looked inside she had all these sours on the inner-upper lip. Due of course to the chemo. They bled for over 6 hours. Why?? because her platletts were so low. So they admitted her and found that she also was in need for blood. Dr. Altman wasen't sure why she was still needing transfusions of both 3 days later. So we need to get a bone merrow done to see if she had a virus. Which thank god she don't because this is such a bad time to get one because her system is so low. Turns out that she has a liver disease cause most commonly from the TG. Which is one of the chemo's she was on. So what now you ask. Well, being off the TG will help that go away. It should go away on it's own. So as a 5th wedding anniversary present to her mommy and daddy karlee-ann was able to hold on to her platletts and blood and came home on the 20th! The body is finally working it's magic. We were able to go home that day. Of course with Karlee-ann's liver still being 7 1/2 inches big we need to be very careful that she don't get bumped. But we went to the hospital today and got her counts checked and her blood was great and her platletts went from a bottom low of 15,000 which is bad to a wonderful 64,000! So we are happy. The dr. said that it's going to be just a matter of time and her liver will go down. As for Karlee-Ann. She is a fighter. Still very happy and playing fine. Thankfully we haven't had any fever or other problems. She just amazes me more and more everyday. These children are the most special,strong, freewilled,amazing children you could ever meet.I love to surround myself w/ the families from the CCMC clinic because we all are going thru so much and yet we all are there for each other and make each other laugh. Hello well Karlee-Ann is doing ok. She is in delayed intesiveacation #2 and it's so hard on her. She has been in and out of the hospital for fever. Thankfully she wasen't admitted. We are happy for that. Right now she has an earinfection. But she is good. She is happy most of the time. She will go into Maintence on the 30 if cts are good. We can't wait. This I think is going to be the longest month of all of them. Thanks for visiting hope to see ya again.

Hello everyone! Well, we are happy to let you know that Karlee was able to do the Easter Egg hunt and was feeling very good for it. We all were happy for it. She is now in delayed intensivaction #2! We are looking forward to MAITENCE. She will be in maitence on the 30th of May as long as counts are over 1,000. With good things always seems to have some bad first. She will need to get a bone merrow and spinal done first. YUCK. She has lost her hair and she don't mind. We are looking forward to her tubie coming out in the begining of June. Just in time for swimming. She just loves to swim and she can't now but I have promised her that when the doc. takes her tubie out we are buying her a pool. She is so cute. Very happy and easy going. Our daughter's name is Karlee-Ann. She is 2 years old. She just turned 2 on Febuary 25th. She was diagnoised with ALL on July 20,1999. We became very concerned when she was bruising all over and sleeping so much. Then she spiked a fever and I couldn't get rid of it. So we brought her to the dr's and asked them to please check her blood. Her counts were so low they became very concerned. From there they sent us to our local hospital to confirm the counts. From there we were sent to Conn. Children's Medical Center. We found out how sick she is and we were so devistated. Now 8 months into treatment we are adjusting and getting ready to finish up her treatments. We can't wait for the end of May because she will get her central line taken out. Kids call them the (tubie). We will try to keep in touch on her progress. Thanks for visiting our site.
