I'm sorry that you have to feel so crappy. But your upbeat attitude certainly shows through. What a great journal to look through in five or ten years. By then (hopefully) it will be hard to remember how bad you felt. I was so sorry to hear about Johnnie. Although not surprised. Hope that Bill and Jeannie are feeling better.

Hip hop, hippety hop
My “Easter Bunny” went off to the shop,
He bought me an egg and lots of chocs
And packed them into a cardboard box.
Then he wrapped it with paper and shiny string
It really was such a pretty thing.
Disaster struck when I opened the door-
He slid across the parquet floor,
He went round the corner and past the stairs
And finished up in a pile of chairs.
Of the Easter goodies not a trace,
he’d thrown them into my fireplace!
So a warning before you go opening doors
Make sure your “Bunny” has non-slip paws!

Happy Easter

With lots of love,

Everyone at Post Pals

Well it looks like we're not on the same clinic schedule anymore. That's what I get for having low counts one week. I have my spinal tap this Wednesday. I think Sophie had hers last week. I was supposed to, but the last time I saw you guys my counts were low. Of course! Only b/c I wanted to go to Foley to see Daniel. Mom still let me go though. :-) Well I hope all is well, and I don't know when the next time I'll see you is, but hopefully soon. Take care!

Hey! I was beginning to wonder what happened to you! I didn't see you my last visit to clinic and it was the weirdest thing! I ALWAYS see you guys there! I'm going this Tuesday. I'm not supposed to go until NEXT week, but Jeff wanted to see me...and he wasn't going to be there that week. LOL. It's funny when I rearrange my schedule just to see my favorite doctor. I had a great time at camp. I'm going to be a counselor in a few years...just in time for me to be Sophie's counselor when she starts going to June Camp...is she going to go to June camp when she's old enough? She would have a lot of fun once she broke out of her shell. Well, I have things to do...just checkin in! Love you!

Hi! It was so great to see you at clinic last week Sophie. I think you look so cute in that pink outfit. I smile everytime I see you in it. Did you like my songs? I remember when we on 4 tower together and me and my daddy sang songs out in the hall. You sat in the doorway and listened (and even danced a little!) As horrible as it may sound, I miss those days. Not because of the inpatient treatments, but because I got to see my friends a lot more often. Missing you,

I'm so glad I got to see you today Sophie! Your hair is so pretty. (For once I'm telling someone that, and they're not telling me. hehe.) Your little brother is so cute. I hope you don't eat Mommy and Daddy out of house and home this week. I know the Dexamethasone is no fun, but I have to do it too! And how about those masks? I know you didn't like that much. I didn't either. Did you like painting with me today? You were making a pretty picture! Well I guess I better go to bed. I hope you got home safely and are doing well. :-)

Hello Sophie!! I am so happy that you had a good report!!! I just saw your picture with your Dr. You are getting more beautiful all the time!! I guess you are taking good care of Liam. Tell your Mother and Daddy that I said "Hello" for me. (Pam, I am so sorry that it has been awhile since I checked in. I am taking care of my parents in their home. Mother has a bad lung disease(Pulmonary Fibrosis),kidney failure, diabeties, etc. and Daddy has Alshemiers(can't spell it!!)in the advanced stage. So I haven't had time to do much when I get home but go to bed. I just read in the journal about Patty. I am so sorry to hear about it. I hope she is doing o.k. with the chemo. Please send her my love and tell her that I have her in my prayers). I need to go now and I will check back as soon as I can. God Bless You and I will keep Sophie, Liam, Brad and You in my Prayers. Please let me know if there is anything, anything I can do to help you. Love Always, Pam

I think and pray for Sophie daily, as well as for you and Brad. God is faithful. God is able. I praise him for Sophie's good report and for your entry about how brave she was at the Doctor's and how full of energy that she is. I am so thankful that she has not felt bad these last few weeks. I recently listened to a song about being confronted with difficult situations. It said in regards to our relationship with God that "WHEN YOU CAN'T TRACE HIS HAND, TRUST HIS HEART." That is my prayer for you. I can only imagine the anquish and emotional torment that you have been through for this last year. I pray that God will grant you His peace and grace beyond all measure.

I knwo we had two relapse scares with Ronnie when he was off for a full month due to low counts each time, thnakfully though his counts rebounded soon after and it was nothing. Hi Sophie and family. Wow you sure have been thru a lot already. Its such a shame, and I hate coming across new Caringbridge sites, as it just means another kid going thru something no kid should ever have to deal with. My son has leukemia (ALL) too so I kind of know the toll it takes on the whole family emotionally, financially and spiritually. Well sweetie, I hope your being added to the Adopt a Kids Site brings you more visitors and more thoughts & prayers. We will be thinking of you! I'll email you as soon as your site's "adopted"

Hey Sophie!
I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. I went back to the clinic yesterday and all of my tests came back a lot better than last week. So they stared me back on my meds. :( This means we'll be on completely different schedules! I begged Jeff to let me wait until next week to start the pills agian, but he just looked at me and shook his head. *sigh* Anyways, I will be back on the normal schedule soon, because there is one week where I can't take the metheltrexate because I'll be in Texas. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys again (and the new baby!)

Hi Sophie! Your Aunt Lana came in where I work a few days ago and I was thrilled to know how well you are doing! You are so blessed. Besides being blessed by God, you are so blessed with a wonderful Mother and Daddy. You are also blessed with loving Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, and Cousins. Not to long from now you will have a brand new baby brother who will love you. Tell your Mother and Daddy that I said "Hi" and that I still have all of you in my prayers and thoughts. I love you, Pam

Just wanted you all to know how much I love you. It was so good to see you yesterday--Joy, Orville, and I enjoyed the visit, and I think Sophie did also. She seemed to be enthralled with Joy--all children love her it seems. Tell Sophie that Gammy still thinks she is beautiful and sweet. I wish we could visit more often, but that will come later when Sophie is well. If you need me, just call. Everyone here is still praying for all of you, but especially for Sophie. Some of the children in my class tell me they pray for her every night, and that is so wonderful. I think children's prayers must be the most special. God is so Good, even when things happen that we don't understand. Just know that He is working His Perfect Will in all our lives. I thank Him for that, and for you, Pam, for loving Brad so well, and for taking such good care of Sophie. And I thank Him for you, Brad, for your strength and patience during this difficult time. He is so good to me to allow me to enjoy the wonderful family I have, and the three most precious granddaughters in the world. I love you all.

Dear Brad, Pam, and Sophie,
A few years ago when I was diagnosed with cancer, Joyce gave me a framed saying that read "GRACE: I thought that the end of myself must be a terrible place. Strange, that's where I distinguished my works from His." Don and I pray that God will "pour out" His wonderful grace on you and Sophie as He makes her better every day. Dear Pam and Brad,

Lord. Well, we know you guys love the Lord, but in the
dark times like this, it's really hard to understand, and
see the good.
Please hang in there, and don't give up. A lot of prayers
are going up for you, and Sophie, and God WILL NOT turn
a deaf ear to the prayers of His children. In His time,
He will show the GOOD to you.

Brad and Pam - Charles Harper, my father, are friends with Sophies grandparents, Ray and Joyce. My Dad told me of Sophie and I was inclined to post a note of encouragement. I am 33 years old and was diagnosed with cancer in September, 2000. I am proud to say, my last chemotherapy treatment was February 2001 and I am doing well. I have two daughters (2 1/2 years and 2 months old)and my heart goes out to you and your family. I will be praying for her and I know everything will be ok.

I work with Sophie's grandfather, Ray Hughes. I have two young granddaughters, so I am especially concerned with Sophie and her experience. I was asking Ray about her progress, so he suggested I view her web page. This is a great idea.
I know another grandmother whose grandson had leukimia when he was about Sophie's age and went through all the treatments. He is a rough and tough teenager, now.
Hope this comforts you some.

Brad and Pam,
You just don't know how excited I was to call and hear you say, "I'm watching Sophie dance!" I don't think people can possibly realize how wonderful those words are. I hope I can see her dance soon - and run, and laugh, and...

Every Tuesday morning, we have a faculty prayer time before school. Well, you can imagine how much trouble I have being early (or even on time). However, you will be glad to hear that I made it - I wanted my teachers praying for Sophie. Several of my closest friends have already been praying for her, but I know that there is strength in numbers. People ask me about her - and about both of you - every day.

I love the web page. It is such a good way to keep up without bothering you with the phone all the time. I am giving the address to everyone so that they can let you know how much they care. We love you!
